Hello, I am launching a new website this month and curious if the events calendar pro would work in our situation. The website will be a local business listing, event, and blogging platform. I am going to partner with another local website which uses the events calendar pro. My question is can I sync this partners calendar with my new website calendar and promote their website within events that originate from their website calendar? What type of integrations are possible between the two calendars if we both are using the pro version?

    Hey Phil,

Thanks for getting in touch. Sounds like a cool project!

There isn’t a built in way for two websites to directly share events as you’re describing, either in the core calendar plugin or with PRO. However, you can export events to iCal files, and we have an iCal Importer plugin. You could have the other site export events and then import them into your calendar. Might that work for you? Your site wouldn’t need to be running PRO, only The Events Calendar and iCal Importer (so you’d still only need to purchase one license).

    Best,

I think the main challenge is that my version of her calendar would need to keep each promoted event featured to ensure our advertising packages make sense.

Do yall know of anyway to to use an application like zapier to sync the calendar? I could possible sync via webhook if that is possible… Maybe it is something we would need to have a custom solution quoted?

    Hi Phil,

I don’t know of anyone doing that specifically, but someone has probably tried 🙂 You could try searching our PRO forum to see if someone posted about it- that might help point you in the right direction.

It’s possible that some kind of syncing is possible with some custom development. We don’t take on these kinds of projects ourselves, but we do have a list of folks who might be able to help out.

    Best,

    Leah
