    Hi Becky,

This forum is for questions about our premium plugins. We also have our premium forums for users with valid paid licenses. Since you don’t have a license, you can post in our open source forum. However, we don’t monitor that forum daily and we only provide limited support there. If you need more in-depth support, you’ll want to purchase a license for Events Calendar PRO.

I suspect that the issue you’re experiencing has to do with your theme. You can start troubleshooting by testing for a theme conflict. You might also get in touch with your theme’s developer and see if they can shed some light on the issue.

    Hi Kenny,

Thanks for your note. If you need to do automatic updates on the second site, you’ll want to upgrade to a Business level license. However, if you are willing to do manual updates you can just use the one license key. We’ve got a guide here that tells you how to use one license on both your development and production sites.

    Cheers,

Sure thing! You can change that option under the general WordPress settings. In your dashboard go to Settings –> General and find the dropdown that says Week Starts On. Whatever day you set there will carry over to your calendar 🙂

    Hi Julie,

Thanks for getting in touch. We’re happy to help. If you’d like, I can refund your purchase of WPEC Tickets so that you can get WooCommerce Tickets instead. However, there’s another solution that I recommend.

We recently released a new plugin called Event Tickets Plus, which is similar to WPEC Tickets and WooCommerce Tickets, but with more features. The former ticket plugins will be retired, and ET+ will continue to get updates. Since you already had a license for one of our legacy ticketing plugins, you’ve automatically been granted a license for Event Tickets Plus. You can see it on your account’s license keys page.

Event Tickets Plus can be used with WooCommerce, so you’ll still get all the benefits you wanted. You can read over our guide to moving to Event Tickets Plus to get started! If you have any questions about ET+, you can always post in our Event Tickets Plus Forum.

    Thank you for your support!

    Hi Cheryl,

Thanks for getting in touch and for your interest in our plugins. I highly recommend that you download our free core plugin, The Events Calendar, and play around with it. I’m not sure I entirely understand what you’re looking for on the frontend view, but I think that you’ll be able to test nicely with just the free plugin. You can also review our Creating an Event tutorial, which walks you through the available functions.

Events by default can only have one time, but we’ve seen plenty of examples where users have filled out the event description to reflect more specific times or speakers. I’m hoping something like that will work for you.

You mentioned that you only want to show four days of events. If you choose to use only List View, that will work fine- List View only shows dates that have listed events. It might be doable with our other views (like Month View) but that would require some custom development.

Thanks again for your interest, and do let me know if there’s anything else I can help with!

    Hi caldiatech,

Thanks for your note. The tickets are individual products connected to individual events, so it is not possible to use a previously created ticket or combine them in the database. Each ticket type is specific to the event it was created for, and dictate the stock available for that event.

I do recommend that you add your vote to our UserVoice feature request page for reusable ticket types. While it’s unlikely that we could change things so that the tickets are the same database entry, it’s possible that we’d make reusable defaults that would make adding tickets a little faster.

    Hi Trevor,

Thanks for your note. There isn’t a built-in way to share your events via social media. However, there are a number of other plugins that you can use to do this. We wrote an overview article to help our users choose which plugin will work best for them. Hopefully that will get you pointed in the right direction!

    Hi Kandace,

Thanks for your interest in our plugins! We do have another product called Eventbrite Tickets which allows you to import Eventbrite events into WordPress or publish events on WordPress and Eventbrite together. However, that plugin is designed for folks who are using EB.com for tickets and purchases too.

While it’s possible you could make our Eventbrite plugin suit your needs, it really isn’t designed to be used that way. You might be better off using just Event Tickets Plus and figuring out a different way to add your event listings on Eventbrite.com. I’m sorry I don’t have a more positive answer here, but I also want to be honest about our plugin’s functionality.

Please let me know if I can answer any other questions.

    Hi Stuart,

The Upcoming Events List Widget does not display the thumbnails by default. However, we do have a handy snippet that allows you to add them.

    Hi Eugenio,

Usually the events would only show with your blog posts if you have the Show events in main blog loop setting checked. You can find that setting under Events –> Settings –> General. If that setting box is not checked but you are still seeing the events listed in with your blog posts, it is probably caused by another plugin or a function of your theme.

In that case, you’ll want to test for a theme or plugin conflict.  Events are custom post types, and it’s possible that something else on your site is effecting CPTs, including events. If you test and can’t find a root cause of the issue, please let us know and we can try to recreate and troubleshoot the issue.

    Hi Matt,

You do not need to install The Events Calendar, only Event Tickets. If you want to use the paid ticketing functionality, you’ll need Event Tickets and Event Tickets Plus.

We don’t have any particular instructions on using Event Tickets within a WooCommerce Product, but you will certainly want to review the New User Primer. If you need additional help, you can post in the Event Tickets Plus forum.

    Hi Rob,

I checked out your site and I see the tickets for sale. Were you able to get things working, or are you still not seeing the tickets?

    Hi Carlos,

Thanks for getting in touch. I will do my best to answer your questions.

    – Show calendar with all events (within week or month) or simple list
The Events Calendar (our core plugin) comes with Month, List, and Day Views. If you add the premium add-on Events Calendar PRO, you also get Week, Photo, and Map Views.

    – Book a session without payment and only to loggedin users
Our premium ticketing solution is called Event Tickets Plus, and works with various different ecommerce solutions. If you configure your ecommerce solution to do offline payments then users can buy tickets without paying immediately. However, they will not receive the emailed ticket unless the order is complete (paid). You can set up the plugin so that users have to log in to be able to make purchases.

    – After booking, notifies all of the involved (admin, teacher and user)
As I mentioned above, the user only gets a ticket if the order is Complete. There is not a built in way to notify the admin or the teacher/organization of sales, but it’s possible with some custom work.

    – A user can cancel a booking (and once again notify all of the involved – admin, teacher and user)
The various ecommerce solutions have refund solutions. There are no automatic notifications however.

    – Can limit gym classes by number of people
You can set a limited number of tickets, and thus limit the number of people who can come.

    – Can import events with Google Calendar (or other similar) / or manual insertion.
Our iCal Importer plugin allows you to import events from iCal Importer and Google Calendar. The core plugin also has a built in CSV importer.

    – Responsive plugin
All of our plugins are responsive and mobile-friendly.

Thanks again for your interest! For more information I recommend that you read through the product pages for the plugins you’re interested in, which include lots of information, examples, and screenshots.

    Best,
    Leah
