Concurring events

I have a rather complex conference schedule with 2 tracks running on each day. Tracks also have different times for each session. Some tracks have one speaker and some have 4 that need to be listed with the session. I will only want to use the list view, I believe, and do not need to link to the second more detailed page for each item.

Does this sound feasable? I want to show 4 days only for a conference schedule.

Hi Cheryl,

Thanks for getting in touch and for your interest in our plugins. I highly recommend that you download our free core plugin, The Events Calendar, and play around with it. I’m not sure I entirely understand what you’re looking for on the frontend view, but I think that you’ll be able to test nicely with just the free plugin. You can also review our Creating an Event tutorial, which walks you through the available functions.

Events by default can only have one time, but we’ve seen plenty of examples where users have filled out the event description to reflect more specific times or speakers. I’m hoping something like that will work for you.

You mentioned that you only want to show four days of events. If you choose to use only List View, that will work fine- List View only shows dates that have listed events. It might be doable with our other views (like Month View) but that would require some custom development.
