MemberHi louyuanyuan,
Thanks for volunteering to contribute to our plugins! Are you also willing to translate our main plugins, The Events Calendar and Events Calendar PRO? Anyone using Community Events would also need The Events Calendar, so it’s important to have that translated as well. I’d be happy to give you a free license for PRO in exchange, as well as the Community Events one you requested.

MemberThanks Elias! These look awesome. I’ve added them to the plugin so they will be included in the next release. And I’ve just sent you an email with a coupon code to get the plugin for free in exchange. Thank you!

MemberThanks for asking! I should have mentioned previously that while PRO is mostly okay, we had the same problem with Community. I’ve updated all the .pot files in the Getting Started post so they are all updated and include those recent strings. If you could correct The Events Calendar and Community Events at least, that would be great.

MemberThanks Torbjørn, those looks perfect! I’ll be adding them to the next release. Did you want to get a coupon for a Facebook Events license?

MemberHi there,
Thanks so much for all your hard work on these, and your patience while I got them tested. I have tested and added your updates to EDD Tickets, WooCommerce Tickets, Shopp Tickets, WPEC Tickets, Eventbrite Tickets, and Facebook Events.
We recently had a problem where our .pot files for some plugins were not properly updated, so unfortunately there were missing strings. I’ve updated the files and added the new ones to our Getting Started post for people to use. If you’re willing, it would be great for you to download those and update the .po files for The Events Calendar, Community Events, and Filter Bar. That will update those and you’ll have a few more strings to translate. Then I can add those translations as well.
I apologize for the inconvenience. Thank you again for your work here! Let me know if you need any coupons in exchange for your hard work.

Leah

MemberHi Emerson,
Thanks for getting in touch. I was testing your files and unfortunately what I’ve discovered is that the problem is on our side- the .pot file was not regenerated in our last release, which is why you haven’t been able to get it all the way up to date. I’m so sorry about that! I have updated the .pot file and you can download it here: https://cloudup.com/c0xj8oPedzl
Updating your .po file with that one will give you the correct strings. My apologies! I am working now to rectify this problem so that no one else will have to deal with an outdated .pot file.

MemberHi Elias,
Thanks so much for working on this. While I was testing it we realized that the .pot file was not updated before release, so there are a few strings that need correction. Please update your .po file with the newly updated .pot file (https://cloudup.com/iEeL79NgvgK) and translate the new or changed strings. Then the translation will be ready to be added to the plugin!
Thank you,
Leah

MemberHi alfemand,
Thanks for your patience. You said that you updated the da_DK .po file with the latest .pot file. But it’s still not working after you translated the new lines? If you could upload that file for me, I can take a look and try to figure out what’s wrong.
Can you also please send me a screenshot of the 4 strings you mentioned, so I can see exactly where they are in the plugin or your dashboard? That will also help me pinpoint the issue.
Thank you,
Leah

MemberHey Oliver,
Thanks for your patience. It looks like the Cost fields are in the .pot file for The Events Calendar. You translated them in your version and they work on my test site: https://cloudup.com/cfOWD2xSJsG. Are you still seeing them in English?
For the other issue, you’ll need to get in touch with our support folks in the PRO Forum. I’m not sure exactly which lines of text you’re referring to, but our support team will be able to pinpoint that and ticket it for changes as necessary.
Cheers,
Leah

MemberHey Torbjørn,
I got a chance to look at the Facebook files, and it looks like there are a number of missing translations. For example, the following line are not translated:
#: the-events-calendar-facebook-importer.php:135
#, php-format
#@ default
msgid “As of version 1.0.6, you need to enter your own Facebook App ID and App secret. Visit %s to generate yours. Enter your App ID and App Secret on the event’s settings page. “
msgstr “”#: the-events-calendar-facebook-importer.php:162
#, php-format
#@ default
msgid “Signing up for a Facebook App ID and Secret only takes a second. Visit %s to create yours. “
msgstr “”#: the-events-calendar-facebook-importer.php:163
#, php-format
#@ default
msgid “Visit %s to learn more about Facebook App Ids and Secrets. “
msgstr “”#: the-events-calendar-facebook-importer.php:164
#, php-format
#@ default
msgid “You must enter a Facebook App ID and App Secret to continue importing events from Facebook. Visit %s to create yours. “
msgstr “”It’s important that all the lines are translated before we add a new translation to a plugin. It would be great if you could finish up the file and repost it for downloading.
Thank you,
Leah

MemberHi Brian,
Thanks for getting in touch. Can you tell me which plugin(s) you’re using and what versions as well? That will help me look into this further.

MemberAntonio47 – please post a new thread and let me know what plugin(s) you are interested in translating to Italian.
alfemand – thank you for the update. I have a number of threads to get through, but I will take a look at those strings as soon as possible.

MemberHi Tony,
Thanks for volunteering! We would love to have you translate our plugins to Russian. Please note that we need you to translate both The Events Calendar and Events Calendar PRO. Then we’d be happy to give you a license for Events Calendar PRO. Check out our Getting Started post for all the instructions and files you’ll need.

MemberHi megswhite,
Our plugin stable is designed so that people can mix and match what functions they need. If you did not find the plugin you needed, I apologize. If you’d like to discuss a refund, please email us at [email protected].

MemberHi fervent,
Thanks for posting. Some elements of the calendar, such as days of the week and month names, are translated by WordPress itself and not via our plugin translations. This means that if you do not have the WordPress translation files loaded for your language you will see some untranslated words in your calendar, even with your language set in wp-config. To fix this, you’ll need to download and install WordPress for your language. Then the Day View (and other Views) should be fully translated.
Best,
