    Hi Anna,

Thanks for reaching out to us! I’d be happy to help you 🙂

I noticed your theme (Dance Studio) offers a full integration with our plugins The Events Calendar and Events Calendar PRO. In order to do so, they must have customized some of our template files and applied some CSS rules to the calendar layout.

However, we recently changed some html tags for accessibility reasons, and also made some other changes to our assets. Your theme hasn’t taken into consideration those changes. And maybe they are not aware of those changes. So I would recommend you to contact the support of your theme, so that they could fix it.

Meanwhile, you can always roll back to a previous version of our plugins: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/downgrading-plugin-past-version/.

Please let me know how it goes.

    Cheers,
    Jeremy

    Kia ora,

Thanks for reaching out to us! I’d be happy to help you 🙂

It’s possible there’s a conflict between two plugins. Could you try to deactivate all your other plugins, to see if that makes a difference? Please read carefully our documentation about testing for conflicts before doing anything.

Ideally, you would do those tests on a staging site. If you can’t make use of a staging site, you may consider using a plugin like Plugin Detective and/or Health Check, each of which provide a troubleshooting mode that aims to ensure your site will continue to operate as normal for regular visitors.

Also, could you please enable WP_DEBUG (https://codex.wordpress.org/Debugging_in_WordPress) and WP_DEBUG_LOG (https://codex.wordpress.org/Debugging_in_WordPress#WP_DEBUG_LOG) ? This will create a debug.log file inside the /wp-content directory.

After that, try reproducing the issue a few times, so that in case there is an error, it will be saved into the debug.log file. Please share that log file with us so we can see if any problem from there.

Please let me know what you find out during the process.

    Cheers,
    Jeremy

    Hi,

Thanks for reaching out to us! I’d be happy to help you 🙂

Can you confirm that you can’t create tickets when The Events Calendar plugins and Fusion builder are enabled *and* all other plugins deactivated?

Also, did you contact Avada’s support about this issue?

When did you notice that problem? If it happened after a recent update of our plugin, you may always roll back to a previous version while we investigate on this issue: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/downgrading-plugin-past-version/

    Hi,

I’m just wondering, does your website works perfectly if all plugins (including Wordfence and The Events Calendar) are enabled and just Event Ticket Plus disabled?

And what happens if both Wordfence and ETP are enabled (plus TEC), and all other plugins disabled? Do you get that same HTTP error 500?

I know you already followed the troubleshooting steps, and I’m sorry if  I’m repeating myself, but I need to gather some information in order to open a bug report if necessary.

Thank you for your cooperation 🙂

    Cheers,
    Jeremy

    Hi Sandra,

Thank you for those clarification 🙂

And don’t worry about being a “virtual novice” — we are here to help!

Regarding the slugs, they shouldn’t have the same:

Events URL slug: Determines where on the frontend your events will live; defaults to /events but can be changed to whatever you see fit. The link that appears below the field will take you directly to your events page.

Single event URL slug: Similar to the Events URL slug, this determines the URL structure for a single event. Note that while you want this to be similar to the Events URL slug, they cannot be identical — notice how if the Events URL slug defaults to plural “events”, the Single Event URL Slug has to be singular “event.” Keep this in mind as you make changes.

To add a URL to an event listing, the most appropriate way is to use the Events Website URL field. You may also link a media to an external URL, but it would be clearer for your users to just click on the link they will see.

Back to your initial problem, it really seems like there’s something wrong with your theme. Can you make sure your parent theme (must be The7) is up-to-date? According to its website, it should be version v.6.9.2 now.

Apparently, The7 theme is meant to be compatible with our plugins. Did you contact their support as well? (if you bought the theme via Theme Forest, you may reach the support here: https://themeforest.net/item/the7-responsive-multipurpose-wordpress-theme/5556590/support).

Please let me know how it goes.

    Hi Melanie,

Thanks for reaching out to us! I’d be happy to help you 🙂

In order to get an image on the left hand side  in the Day view, first you need to set a Featured Image to your Event: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/featured-images/

Then, it should automatically display on your Day view. If that’s not the case, please tell me.

    Cheers,
    Jeremy

    Hi Bob,

Thanks for reaching out to us! I’d be happy to help you 🙂

Did you get Events Calendar PRO or any other premium plugins we sell? If so, could you log in with the email address you used to buy our plugin? That way, you could access our premium Help Desk  and we could get your System Information.

Otherwise, you may find assistance by visiting the .org forum: https://fr.wordpress.org/plugins/the-events-calendar/

    I hope this helps.

    Hi Michael,

Thanks for reaching out to us!

Unfortunately, Event Tickets Plus do NOT support tickets for recurring events (cf https://theeventscalendar.com/product/wordpress-event-tickets-plus/).

That might change in the future, but for now, it’s not possible to have a recurring event with tickets.

Please let me know if you have any other question.

    Hi Michael,

Thank you for your interest in our plugin 🙂

Event Aggregator’s license is a bit unique. It doesn’t matter how many domains (or in your case, sub-sites) that the license is activated on. EA’s license is based upon how many times the query is run to import events.

    Does that make sense?

So your license level should focus instead on how many import queries you anticipate being run. Remember, we count not based upon single events being imported, but how many times a user schedules or runs an import session.

Is there anything else I can help you with?

    Cheers,
    Jeremy

    Hi,

Welcome back on our Help Desk 😉

I just tried on my local installation and can’t reproduce your problem. It might be a cache issue — could you clear all your cache and transients?

Also, you said you tried deactivating all plugins and it still happened. But did you try reverting back to the default theme (Twenty Seventeen) to see if that makes a difference?

Did you use a shortcode on your calendar page, or is it just the default Events Calendar page?

    Cheers,
    Jeremy

    Hi,

Yes, I understood your performance issue is mostly related to your single event page and not your event listing page.

The problem is the same: it’s due to the growth of the postmeta table – with 12k events, there is likely 120k records in postmeta, so the queries start to get slow.

Elastic Events might be a reasonable solution, even though it can be a little bit costly. Please have a look at this page: https://theeventscalendar.com/product/elastic-events/

    I hope this helps.

    Hi Sandra,

This is a little bit weird. Could you send me your theme via a zip file, so that I could try to reproduce your problem and understand what’s happening?

On the calendar page you can see from your back-office, how did you display the calendar? Using a shortcode? Which one?

    Thanks in advance,
    Jeremy
