KeymasterHi Luke,
Thanks for reaching out to us! I’d be happy to help you đ
Are your staging and prod environments on the same hosting plan? I noticed your PHP version is 5.6.37 – which one is on your local environment?
Did you try to rule out a potential conflict? In order to do so, please deactivate all other plugins and try to load your attendees list again. Then switch to the default theme (Twenty Seventeen) to see if that makes a difference. Please refer to our our documentation about Testing for conflicts before doing anything.
Could you also enable WP_DEBUG (https://codex.wordpress.org/Debugging_in_WordPress) and WP_DEBUG_LOG (https://codex.wordpress.org/Debugging_in_WordPress#WP_DEBUG_LOG) ? This will create a debug.log file inside the /wp-content directory.
After that, try reproducing the issue a few times, so that in case there is an error, it will be saved into the debug.log file. Please share that log file with us so we can see if any problem from there.
Cheers,
JeremyJeremy
KeymasterHi Lars,
It would be possible to display the tooltip (.tribe-events-tooltip) on the left via CSS.
However, that would be problematic for events on the very first columns (we wouldn’t see the tooltip on smaller screens)…
Do you have an example of how you would like the tooltip to appear?
Cheers,
JeremyJeremy
KeymasterHi Mike,
It should be possible, but that would require some heavy customization to our plugin. I don’t know anyone who has done it, but here are some resources which might help you:
- Technical Docs:Â https://theeventscalendar.com/functions/
- Knowledgebase:Â https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/
- Themer’s Guide:Â https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/themers-guide/
- List of freelancers:Â https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/custom-development/
I hope this helps.

KeymasterHi dinamica,
Thanks for reaching out to us! I’d be happy to help you đ
Could you please send me an ICS file you’re trying to import, so that I could test it locally?
Thanks in advance,
JeremyJeremy

KeymasterHi,
Thanks for reaching out to us! I’d be happy to help you đ
In order to change those words, you may install a plugin such as Say What.
Then, in Tools > Text changes, click on Add New, and enter the following values:
- Original string: am
- Text domain: the-events-calendar
- Replacement string: a.m.
(and then you can do the same thing with p.m.)
I hope this helps.

KeymasterHi Babs,
Thank you for sharing those errors. It really looks like there’s a conflict but for now, I still don’t know where the problem comes from.
Did you do the tests for conflicts? If so, could you import your calendar with the other plugins deactivated? And did it work with the default theme (Twenty Seventeen)?
Could you also send me your Event Log (in Events > Settings > Help) and a screenshot of your Event Aggregator System Status (still in Events > Settings > Help)?
Thanks in advance,
JeremyJeremy
KeymasterHi Mike,
I’m really sorry to hear you’re still having this issue with the Google Maps API.
I would recommend to follow the solution suggested by my colleague Andras in this other thread: https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/google-maps-not-working-10/
Here’s what he said:
“Log into Google Could Platform.
Go to APIs & Services and select Maps JavaScript API.
Near the top you should see 3 tabs: Metrics, Quotas, Credentials.
Go to Quotas and make sure that your âMax loads per dayâ is set to unlimited.
As far as I know you can only set it to unlimited if you have a payment method assigned to it.
Now go to the Credentials tab where you should see your API key(s). Click on the one in question.
Under âApplication restrictionsâ select âNoneâ.
Check if you have any restrictions under API restrictions, and make sure there are none there too.”
Please let me know if that helps.

KeymasterHi Jennifer,
Thanks for reaching out to us! I’d be happy to help you đ
Even if you only have 1 license, the plugin should work on both sites (only 1 website will could get automatic updates though).
It’s possible there’s a conflict somewhere. Could you try to deactivate all plugins, except for The Events Calendar and Community Events? Do you still have the same issue? And if you switched to the default theme (Twenty Seventeen), is it still the same? Please read carefully our documentation about Testing for conflicts before doing anything.
Also, could you please enable WP_DEBUG (https://codex.wordpress.org/Debugging_in_WordPress) and WP_DEBUG_LOG (https://codex.wordpress.org/Debugging_in_WordPress#WP_DEBUG_LOG) ? This will create a debug.log file inside the /wp-content directory.
After that, try reproducing the issue a few times, so that in case there is an error, it will be saved into the debug.log file. Please share that log file with us so we can see if any problem from there.

KeymasterHi Babs,
Thank you for sharing your System Information đ
Could you try deleting all of the transients from the db? You can use a plugin like this https://wordpress.org/plugins/artiss-transient-cleaner/.
If that doesn’t change anything, we should look for a potential conflict. Do you have a staging environment to test a few things? If so, could you deactivate all your other plugins and try to import your ics file again? Then, could you switch to the default theme and try again? You may read carefully our documentation about testing for conflicts before doing anything.
Finally, you might try enabling WP_DEBUG and WP_DEBUG_LOG, and see if any errors are thrown during the process. You can read more about this process here:Â https://codex.wordpress.org/Debugging_in_WordPress. Once enabled, try the import again. Any errors should be recorded in wp-content/debug.log.
Please let me know how this goes.
Cheers,
JeremyJeremy
KeymasterHi Rob,
Indeed, the last update should have solved your problem. I’m leaving this thread open though, in case you still encounter this issue.

KeymasterHi,
Welcome back on our Help Desk đ
I’m glad it is working. If ever you still have difficulties to hide past events, feel free to reply to this message (I’m leaving the thread open).

KeymasterHi,
Thanks for reaching out to us! I’d be happy to help you đ
I tried on my local installation but couldn’t reproduce the problem you’ve mentioned. I also hadWP Fastest Cache version 0.8.8.4, The Events Calendar version 4.6.23 and Events Calendar PRO version 4.4.32.
Maybe there’s another plugin being in conflict. Could you deactivate all plugins, except for WP Fastest Cache, The Events Calendar and Events Calendar PRO, and tell me if you still encounter the same issue?
Could you also try with the default theme, Twenty Seventeen? Please read carefully our documentation about Testing for conflicts before doing anything.
Cheers,
