I keep getting this error:
Unable to process this import – a breakage or conflict may have resulted in the import halting.

Here is the Google calendar I’m importing from:

Thanks for reaching out to us! I’d be happy to help you 🙂

I could successfully import your Google calendar on my local installation.

The ics file is ok, so the problem might come from a conflict within your website. I would need more information about it — could you share your System Information?

Also, are you able to import successfully from other sources (such as Eventbrite or iCalendar)?

I have only setup and used the Google calendar for importing events so I have not tried other applications.

Hi Babs,

Thank you for sharing your System Information 🙂

Could you try deleting all of the transients from the db? You can use a plugin like this https://wordpress.org/plugins/artiss-transient-cleaner/.

If that doesn’t change anything, we should look for a potential conflict. Do you have a staging environment to test a few things? If so, could you deactivate all your other plugins and try to import your ics file again? Then, could you switch to the default theme and try again? You may read carefully our documentation about testing for conflicts before doing anything.

Finally, you might try enabling WP_DEBUG and WP_DEBUG_LOG, and see if any errors are thrown during the process. You can read more about this process here: https://codex.wordpress.org/Debugging_in_WordPress. Once enabled, try the import again. Any errors should be recorded in wp-content/debug.log.

I received this from my boss and our IT person, along with this message.

If they can’t fix it, we’ll either add events in WP or just find another
cal that will work.

Hi Babs,

Thank you for sharing those errors. It really looks like there’s a conflict but for now, I still don’t know where the problem comes from.

Did you do the tests for conflicts? If so, could you import your calendar with the other plugins deactivated? And did it work with the default theme (Twenty Seventeen)?

Could you also send me your Event Log (in Events > Settings > Help) and a screenshot of your Event Aggregator System Status (still in Events > Settings > Help)?
