    Hi Arthur,

Thanks for reaching out! Is this still an issue for you?

If so, could you please share your system info with me, along with a link to your events page so that I can try to recreate the issue? I tried to do so on my end, but clicking “Return to shop” gave me the correct shop page. If you haven’t already, testing for conflicts would be a good next step, as well as making sure that you are running the current versions of WordPress, WooCommerce, and our plugins.

Henry – thanks for sharing your solution! I’m not sure I follow the issue you are describing with being able to buy 0 tickets…by default, you should not be able to do this. If this is occurring, could you please open a new thread (to ensure that we keep things organized!) and include a screenshot and the details of the steps you took to get that issue? Regarding setting the default number of tickets, WooCommerce has a snippet that will let you do just that!

    Thanks,

    Jennifer

    Hi Fiona,

Thanks for reaching out! I’m sorry you’re running into this issue, but I’ll be happy to help you get it resolved.

Is this something that was working before that stopped working just yesterday morning? We have seen this issue pop up occasionally, and it is usually due to a theme conflict. The first thing I would recommend is testing for conflicts with your theme and other plugins. If you could also send me a link to where this is occurring, that would be helpful as well!

Please enable WP_DEBUG in your wp-config.php file while you’re testing, and if any errors appear, please copy and paste them here!

    Thanks,

    Jennifer

    Hello,

Thanks for reaching out! I’d be happy to help you out with this.

You can find the template to change the button text at wp-content/plugins/event-tickets/src/template-tags/tickets.php (line 234). From there you can change the text to whatever you’d like!

To fix that misalignment, add this to your Additional CSS area under Appearance > Customize:

Let me know how that works!

    .tribe-events-event-cost form {
    margin-bottom: 0;
    }

    Thanks,

    Jennifer

    Hi Vaughn,

Thanks for reaching out! I’ll be happy to help you get this resolved. I apologize for the delayed response, but please note that it can take 24-48 hours to receive a response (per our forum guidelines) – although we always try to respond sooner!

You should see the Enable global stock option right at the top of the tickets section on the edit event screen (see screenshot). If this is not the case:

    • Could you verify that you have WooCommerce or Easy Digital Downloads installed and activated? One of these is required to be able to use Event Tickets Plus, but I’m not seeing an eCommerce platform in your list of activated plugins. If you are using WooCommerce and still have this issue with the plugin activated, could you go under WooCommerce > Settings > Products > Inventory and verify that the Manage stock option is checked? If so…
    • Could you try testing for conflicts with your theme and other plugins?
    • Finally, could you send me a screenshot of your tickets section where the option should be so that I can see what you are seeing?

    Thanks!

    Hi Cam,

Thanks for reaching out! I’m sorry you’re not able to get the search parameter to work with tribe_get_events, as it should indeed work.

I do want to note that WP search only looks at the post title, excerpt, and content, not at any of the custom fields. Could it be that you are using terms that are only found in custom fields, and do not appear in any of the applicable events’ default fields (title, excerpt, post)?

I would recommend doing a quick search with a term that you know is in a default field of at least one event and see if you are able to get any results.

Let me know how it goes!

    Thanks,

    Jennifer

    Hi Eleftheria,

    Thanks for reaching out!

I took a look at the site in the screenshot, and that appears to be a customization that was done specifically for that site. It looks like a really neat feature, but we unfortunately do not currently have any plugins or extensions that would give you that functionality.

There are some plugins out there that create similar tabbed sections that you can add around your site via shortcodes (like the Tabs plugin), but integrating them into the Event Details section would require a good bit of customization. Our themer’s guide has some great info on customizing our plugins if you’d like to try it yourself, or we also have a list of recommended developers that you could contact for help with the code.

I’m sorry I don’t have a better answer for you here, but please let me know if you have any other questions!

    Thanks,

    Jennifer

in reply to: How to display event list in my custom page #1322530

    Hi Massoud,

    Thanks for reaching out!

You could add a list using the Event List widget that comes with The Events Calendar. You could also accomplish it by using the tribe_get_events function to customize that page template. If you go this route, be sure to check out our themer’s guide, which has some great info on customizing our plugins.

However, the easiest way to do what you are looking for would be with the shortcodes that come with Events Calendar Pro. They give you several options to display events, such as the view to display them in and the ability to specify a category of events to display, for example.

I hope that helps! Please let me know if you have any questions!

    Thanks,

    Jennifer

    Hi Michael,

Thanks for reaching out with that suggestion! I can see how that would be a useful feature…would you mind posting it over in our Feature Ideas forum? This is what we use to gauge user interest in new features and help guide future development efforts.

We do strive to make our plugins as user-friendly as possible, so it’s always good to get feedback on how we can do this better. Thanks again for the request!

in reply to: Community Events – Can I accept requests? #1322500
    Jennifer

    Hi Bryan,

    Thanks for reaching out!

Community Events will let users create events from the front end, and you can choose the status you would like the event to go into after it’s been submitted (so you could select “Draft”, which would require you to publish it for it to be visible on the site).

Can you elaborate a bit more on what you mean by requesting speaking days for the author? Do you mean the site is for an author, and you want users to be able to request a time for that speaker by creating an event on the site? If that is the case, you can do this with Community Events. Keep in mind though that there would not be any kind of validation like checking to see if that time was already booked when a user submits an event. You would need to do this manually when deciding whether or not to “approve” (publish) the event.

Does that make sense? Please let me know if you need any further clarification!

Our refund policy does entitle you to a full refund within 30 days of purchase, so feel free to test it out!

    Thanks,

    Jennifer
