    Hi Hannah,

Thanks so much for reaching out!

What do you have your default view and default mobile view set to?

In the meantime, as Victor mentioned, let’s try to rule out if there is some type of conflict at play.
    This is usually because of:

    • A conflict with another plugin
    • A conflict with your WordPress theme
    • A template customization for the Events Calendar that requires updating

When it comes to that type of issue, it is preferable to troubleshoot in a staging environment if you have one.

A first quick test is to simply temporarily revert back to a default WordPress theme such as twenty-sixteen to see if the issue persists.

The next step would be to go through our testing for conflicts procedure and let us know what you find out.

Basically the goal here is to revert back to a bare WordPress installation to see if the problem persists. It also allows us to pinpoint what the cause of the issue is.

But, before you do that, there are 2 things I would advise:

    • Make a backup of your database
    • Consider activating a “Maintenance Page” plugin if you are doing this on your live site (to minimize impact on your visitors)

Let me know how that goes!

    Thanks,

    Jaime

    Hi Daniel,

Thanks for your patience.  As Victor noted, we are limited by our Support Policy in how much we can help with customizations, but I will try to point you in the right direction.

I’d recommend you take a look at our Themer’s Guide to learn how to customize our plugins > https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/themers-guide/

Let me know if you have any other questions on this topic!

    Thanks,

    Jaime

    Hi Russell,

Great, thanks for providing me with that information.  Were you also able to test the scenario in Troubleshooting Mode, as detailed in one of my previous responses?

We had previously determined that this was a plugin or theme conflict, since everything works fine when only our plugins are installed.  The next step would be to determine what is causing the issue, so that we can find the root of the problem.

Let me know how that goes!

    Thanks,

    Jaime

    Hi Andrea,

Thanks for your reply.  I will mark this thread as “Pending Fix” for now, to address the location bug that you are experiencing.

You will be notified when a fix for this issue has become available.

Thank you for your patience and understanding in this matter.  Please let me know if you have any other questions in the meantime!

    Thanks,

in reply to: Run Import via Google Calendar – Error Message #1514540

    Hi Tracy,

Thanks for providing me with all of that information.

Unfortunately, I could reproduce the same issue on my end. I have added this thread to the bug report for this so it can be addressed in one of our next maintenance releases of our plugins.

I will set this thread’s status as “Pending fix” and link it to the report. This way, we will notify you once a fix is released.

We apologize for the inconvenience and we appreciate your patience while we work on this.

In the meantime, the workaround is to keep the import date range to 1 month.  I know this is not ideal, however it will allow your imports to run for now.

Please let me know if you have any other questions in the meantime!

    Thanks,

    Jaime

in reply to: Please respond. Will anything work as advertised? #1514526

    Hi Suzanne,

For right now, the only way to import from Facebook would be to create an event for a Facebook Page that you have also created yourself, and that you are the admin of.  In other words, other people cannot create the events (if you want to import them), even if you are the admin of the page.

We try to keep it to one issue per thread, so that we can ensure that we address each issue fully.  With that in mind, can you open up a separate thread for your new issue?  Thank you for your understanding!

As far as the Other URL option goes, only events that have been created via The Events Calendar on another site can be imported through this method.  Is that the case with the site that you are trying to import events from?

    Let me know!

    Hi Abigail,

As a next troubleshooting step, can you try flushing your permalinks by going to Settings < Permalinks and Save Changes.  You will want to clear your browser and site cache as well after doing this.

Also, I’m not seeing the event that you are referring to.  Would you mind linking me directly to that event?

Let me know if you have any other questions in the meantime!

    Thanks,

    Jaime

    Hi Jacqui

Thanks so much for providing me with that information.

As a next step, can you update all of your Events Calendar related plugins to the most recent version?  After doing so, please create a new test ticket to see if the issue still occurs.

If it does, can you take a screenshot of how this ticket is set up in the backend, so that I can do some testing on my end as well?

Let me know if you have any other questions in the meantime!

    Thanks,

    Jaime

    Hi Brandon,

Thanks so much for reaching out!

You can display the calendar on your homepage using the following tutorial:

    https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/how-to-make-your-calendar-your-sites-home-page/

In addition, you can display your calendar in a variety of places using a shortcode.  Here are some comprehensive lists of our shortcodes:

Let me know how that goes and if you have any other questions on this topic!

    Thanks,

    Jaime
