    Hey Myke,

I just grabbed the Facebook URL (https://www.facebook.com/distortioncalgary/events) and entered it into my Organization and page usernames / IDs to fetch events from Facebook import box. After saving, I visited the Facebook import tab in Events > Import and 14 events appeared. I compared the list to the events on Facebook and there were 14 upcoming events as well.

I tested on a fresh WP install, using the default Twenty Sixteen theme. Have you tried reviewing our Testing for conflicts guide? Try that out and let me know if you’re able to get the correct amount of events importing properly.

Thanks for the response and I look forward to getting this resolved. Have a good one!

    Hi Devra!

Hooray! I’m relieved to hear you’ve got the conflict addressed!

Keep that article bookmarked and if you’re ever experiencing any issues, try running through it before opening a new thread. Most of the time, it is in fact a conflict. Having that information makes it much easier when working towards a resolution. As always, if you run into any troubles, feel free to open a new thread and we’ll always try our best to help you out.

Thank you for the update and again, glad to hear you’ve got it taken care of! Good job! I’ll close this thread out, but feel free to open a new one if you run into any more issues. Have a good weekend and thank you for choosing PRO 🙂

    Welcome back,

Glad to hear your’e headed in the right direction. Take some time and go through the options included in the SEO plugin. We also have a few resources that can help you out:

This text should only be shown in list view pages and not on singel event pages over all?
    Isn’t that right?

I believe you’re correct. As previously mentioned, we’re always looking for ways to improving how our plugin behaves with popular SEO plugins. While we can’t include the amount of features these plugins provide, we do try our best to make them compatible and hopefully as simple to understand as possible.

Thanks again for the patience while we’ve worked to resolve the issue. I’ll go ahead and close this thread out, but please open a new one if you have any questions. Have a great weekend!

    Connor,

I was able to reproduce the issue on my local environment, so I’ve created a bug for the developers to address in an upcoming release. I wish I had a better solution for you at the moment, but unfortunately do not :-/

Hold tight and stay tuned to your WP-admin and theeventscalendar.com/blog for release info. It is a serious bug, so we’ll more than likely get this addressed ASAP. Thanks for the patience on your end and if you don’t mind, please still reply back with your System Information privately.

Thanks for bearing with us while we get this worked out and have a good Friday 🙂

    Hey Connor,

Thanks for posting and sorry to hear about the troubles.

I’m going to do some quick testing on my local environment to see if I can replicate the issue since we don’t have any logged bugs with users reporting similar issues. If you can, please share your System Information as a private reply.

Once you get that to me, I’ll respond with me findings and we’ll go from there. Thanks again for reaching out and enjoy your weekend!

    Hello,

Apologies on the delayed response; we’ve been a little behind due to some team members away at a company retreat!

We don’t include any paywall capabilities, but you should be able to accomplish what you describe with a plugin such as Restrict Content.

I hope this answers your question and best of luck with the customizations. Enjoy your weekend and thanks for choosing PRO!

    Hi Sara,

My sincerest apologies on the delayed response!

To answer your question, you will not need to re-create events when upgrading to the PRO version. Once you install and active Events Calendar PRO, you won’t notice much difference on the back-end other than some additional settings/options.

I hope this answers your inquiry and if you have any follow-up questions, please feel free to reply! Thank you for choosing TEC and hopefully we see your around in the PRO support forums 🙂

Hi and thanks for the post,

Before I get to testing, would you mind trying replicating the issue from another Facebook event page other than the one you’re experiencing issues importing from if you haven’t already? Report back with your findings and we’ll go from there.

Thanks again for contacting us and enjoy your day 🙂

    Hey David,

Thanks for your patience while some support team members catch up from the company retreat 🙂

The issue you describe is a logged bug, so I’ve added this forum thread for reference. Stay tuned for a fix in your WP-admin dashboard and on theeventscalendar.com/blog.

Again, thanks for your patience and detailed posts as they’ll be helpful when working towards a resolution. Enjoy your weekend!

Hi and thanks for the response,

The only way we’re going to know if it’s working on your site in particular is to do an update and retry and import. Keep us updated and we’ll go from there. Thanks again and enjoy your day.

    Hi Nathan,

I just tested for both issues described and the Organizer has been saved in the back-end and also sent successfully via new event submission email.

I tested with the latest versions of our plugins and the default WP theme. Try reviewing the Testing for conflicts guide again to see if you can narrow down a conflict.

Thanks for the update and good luck with everything.

Hi and thanks for the response,

I’m not involved with the demo site (admittedly, it appears it could use some updating) – and as I said, I’m unable to reproduce the issue on my local environment. One recommendation would be to install an SEO plugin so you have better control over your event titles (I use Yoast’s WordPress SEO, see screenshot of past event on my local environment below).

I’ll bring up this conversation to the other team members and the product developers for insight on how we can improve how our plugin handles SEO titles. We are always looking to enhance the performance and experience for everyone involved.

Thank you again for the patience and detailed responses throughout our interaction. Best of luck and enjoy your day.

    Hi and welcome back,

I understand your point when you say the design/intuition of the change view selection could be improved. It might be an idea worth submitting to our UserVoice Feature Ideas page.

Additionally, I recently provided an alternative to the default View to another customer; feel free to check it out and see if it works for you 🙂

Again, we appreciate and understand your constructive criticism and best of luck. Have a good remainder of your week 🙂

    Hi and welcome back,

    Try altering the following line:

$title_past = 'Past Events'; // List view: Past events

Additionally, try reverting back to the default WP theme to see if the changes work (you’ll also need to add the code the the default WP theme’s functions.php file).

I tested against the Twenty Sixteen theme and was able to get the past events title to change based on what I entered in the provided snippet.

I do want to emphasize that this is as much support as I’ll be able to provide as you are in need of custom theme support which we’re unable to provide. With that said, best of luck getting everything set up properly and for choosing PRO 🙂
