ParticipantSorry for the confusion here, Amanda! I have refunded your order of Events Calendar Pro in full—you should see those funds back in your account in no more than a few business days.
As for the set of plugins you do need, then based on your description of your needs, you’ll need each of the following products:
• The Events Calendar (Free)
• Event Aggregator (Premium)
• Community Events (Premium)
• Filter Bar (Premium)You do not Events Calendar Pro for any of these plugins—you would only need Events Calendar Pro if you want Pro-specific features like recurring events, or the Map View, or the [tribe_events] shortcode, etc.
Please let me know if this helps at all! 😀

ParticipantThanks so much, Ventrice.
You say this in your reply above:
Generating a new event with new rules works fine. Updating the pre-existing event with rules is also fine
Just to be totally clear, since you mention that the only problem is in the Edit screen, when you say that new event with new rules work fine and that updating the pre-existing events with rules is also fine, by “fine” do you mean that the Edit screen gets updated and looks totally normal and correct?
Thanks!

ParticipantHey @Liesbet,
Thanks for confirming this error message. I have confirmed your report and am making a bug ticket for our developers.
For the time being, please leave The Events Calendar activated on your site—you don’t have to actually use the calendar, of course, or link visitors on your site to it or anything. But leaving it activated should be helpful here as a temporary solution.
I will mark this thread “Pending Fix” and will post an update when there’s news about this being fixed. I do not have a specific estimate of when you can expect a fix—it could take several weeks, unfortunately.
Stay tuned!

ParticipantThat if statement is optional and just helps to prevent this code from running if The Events Calendar isn’t present on your site.
But no worries—glad you’ve got things working. Thanks for sharing your version of this—be sure to keep backups of this custom code so that you don’t lose it when you update your themes and plugins down the road!
Cheers,
GeorgeGeorge
ParticipantStill working on this, @Adage! Thanks for your patience—I should have an update for you by the end of today.
Cheers,

ParticipantThanks for this information, Nathan!
I’m not able to see this error myself, so am wondering if you’d be interesting in an additional step here for finding out when this error arises specifically:
1. First, download and install a free plugin called Query Monitor, which you can find here → https://wordpress.org/plugins/query-monitor/
2. Activate this plugin on your site—it will add some diagnostic info right to your WordPress admin.
3. Once this activated, click around on your site and try testing out some basic Event Aggregator functions—if there’s an error or warning you should see it listed in the Query Monitor’s UI like shown in the screenshots here → https://wordpress.org/plugins/query-monitor/screenshots/
4. If you see the error messages you reported here on any specific Event Aggregator screens, or when doing any specific Event Aggregator functions, let us know!
Thanks,
GeorgeGeorge
ParticipantHey John,
Our calendar plugins do not have iframes out-of-the-box. When you ask if it will “support” iframe, this all depends on how you want to use our calendars within iframes.
There is no inherent limitation of our plugins within iframes, and you should be able to use our calendars within iframes as long as you follow the general rules of using iframes on a site and within WordPress.
We cannot help with custom coding or provide technical insight on this, even for customers with a license (read more here).
So you will have to take the reins on figuring out how to incorporate iframes on your own site. Research online about using iframes within WordPress, and be sure to research any problems with WordPress’s admin-ajax.php file in iframes—there are many things about this file that make it very important in terms of security, and so there may be some limitations with how this file can be called in “iframed” web pages on a WordPress site.
I will close this thread for now because iframes are not something we make or have built into our plugins—research online for information about iframes and WordPress, and tinker around with things as you see fit.
Best of luck with your project!

ParticipantSorry to hear this, Jose! (And thanks for opening another thread 😉 )
1. Can you post your site’s complete System Information to this thread? Here’s how to do that → https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/sharing-sys-info/
2. Can you copy and paste the full text of the fatal error you get when you try deactivating that plugin? Paste the full text into your reply here — it may help me investigate this and recommend a next step.
Thanks!

ParticipantSorry to hear this, Nathan!
I have reported this to a developer on our team and we’re taking a look into this.
1. You mention this error exists in your logs—to your knowledge, does this ONLY appear in your logs? Does it every appear anywhere on the front-end of your site? If so, when? When you do an Event Aggregator import? After an import completes? Et cetera—any detail here would be helpful.
2. Does this seem to affect anything with the actual functionality of Event Aggregator imports on your site? Does anything break or fail to function, in other words? Or does this error just appear in your logs but seemingly doesn’t alter the functionality of anything on your site?
Thank you!
