ParticipantHey Lee,
It may indeed take a while for us to build the Year View, so I unfortunately don’t know how long it will take and it could indeed take up to a year or longer depending on what other things our development team has to devote its time and attention to.
As for building a year view yourself, sure, you can do this—by which I mean it is generally technically possible. But it is a very complex customization to make, and you would have to write that custom code or hire a professional developer to do it for you.
If you’re interested in this route, we have a list of great developers here → http://m.tri.be/18k1 (and have no affiliation with any of these folks—they’re simply some well-respected names in the community that we’ve compiled to share in situations like this one).
Sorry to disappoint here, Lee. Please let me know if there are any other issues or questions I can try to help with.

ParticipantHey Monty,
Thanks for reaching out.
Both questions you pose here are unfortunately outside the scope of we can provide. Please read more here: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/what-support-is-provided-for-license-holders/
Both things you ask would require custom coding, which we cannot help with. You would have to write that custom code or hire a professional developer to do it for you. We have a list of great developers here → http://m.tri.be/18k1 (and have no affiliation with any of these folks—they’re simply some well-respected names in the community that we’ve compiled to share in situations like this one).
With all this being said, I’m happy to at least point you in the right direction on both things to get you started.
When it comes to changing the layout from vertical to horizontal, this will require just some good old CSS. You’ll want to “float” the elements left and tweak their layout from there—search online for how to make a grid display out of a list with CSS and you’re sure to find some good examples online.
As for the question about month abbreviations, to modify this you just need to head to Events → Settings in your site’s wp-admin. Once here, go to the “Display” tab, and scroll down to the “Date Format Settings” section.
There’s an option here called “Date without year” — specify a custom format here that fits your desires, and it’ll be used as the start date format in a number of places including the output of [tribe_events_list].
It’s probably F j by default — try using the format M j instead for that option and it should do the trick.
Cheers!

ParticipantHey Craig, my apologies — it looks like we’ve actually included a fix for this in the Maintenance Release we just shipped today.
Try updating The Events Calendar and Community Events to version 4.4.1 on your site and let us know if it helps.
You can learn more about the release here → https://theeventscalendar.com/maintenance-release-the-events-calendar-and-event-tickets-4-4-1-plus-premium-add-ons/

ParticipantHey Craig,
This is indeed a known issue—sorry for the trouble!
The closest estimate I have for a fix is that a fix will hopefully arrive some time in the next two to three weeks if everything goes to plan.
I unfortunately don’t have any more specific information than that, and this is of course just an estimate that is subject to change.
I will update this thread with news about the fix!
Please let me know if there are any other issues or questions I can try to help with.

ParticipantSorry to see this, @Sheila!
I cannot recreate his issue, so there may something unique going on with your specific site.
To see if that’s the case, I would recommend first updating The Events Calendar, Events Calendar Pro, Event Tickets, and Event Tickets Plus on your site — it looks like you’re using version 4.3.1 of these plugins, but this is outdated.
You can find all the most recent versions at http://theeventscalendar.com/my-account/downloads
1. Update everything to its most recent version, and let us know if that makes any difference here!
2. If issues persist after updating all plugins, then try updating your version of WordPress itself. You’re running 4.6.2, but the most recent version is 4.7.1—try updating to version 4.7.1 of WordPress and let us know if it helps at all!
As for the location of the tickets email template, it can be found here within your plugin files:
event-tickets/src/views/tickets/email.phpLearn more about using templates in our Themer’s Guide here.

ParticipantHello!
Events Calendar Pro is not a pro version of The Events Calendar—it’s a premium add-on to The Events Calendar.
So:
1. Leave The Events Calendar installed and activated
2. Check out the New User Primer here for The Events Calendar & Events Calendar Pro → https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/new-user-primer-the-events-calendar-and-events-calendar-pro/
↑ That guide will cover the details of getting up-and-running with Events Calendar Pro! 😀
Please let me know if there are any other issues or questions I can try to help with.

ParticipantHey Stefanie,
Thanks for reaching out.
This was never a feature of our plugins—you were probably able to do this by way of using an unofficial plugin called “Event Rocket” that added features like this to The Events Calendar.
That plugin is no longer maintained and so it’s unfortunately not possible to use that plugin for these features any more.
I don’t know of any alternative plugin that provides that feature, so unfortunately it is not possible to “duplicate” or “copy” events at this time.
Sorry to disappoint! Please let me know if there are any other issues or questions I can try to help with.

ParticipantHi Allen!
Yes, Free and RSVP events on eventbrite.com can be imported just fine with the Eventbrite Tickets plugin. 🙂

GeorgeJanuary 26, 2017 at 4:37 pm in reply to: List next event from current date in mini calendar list #1224812George
ParticipantHey @Poornima,
Thanks for reaching out.
To be clear, it sounds like you’re trying to have the Mini Calendar grid display, but regardless of how many events there are actually are, you only want it to show ONE event: the one immediately next-upcoming.
↑ Is this an accurate description of your goals? If not, let me know what you mean in more detail.
If that is an accurate description of your goals, then unfortunately this is not possible at this time. 🙁
The closest thing you could do would be to use the List Widget shortcode and set it to only show on event. You would do that like this:
[tribe_events_list limit="1"]↑ This will list only one event: the next upcoming one, which sounds like what you’re trying to do here…
Cheers!

ParticipantHey Joshua,
Thanks for reaching out.
Our plugins unfortunately don’t provide these sort of access-control features on their own, but to be clear, an “Attendee List” only shows the Attendees of one specific event.
So if church ABC has an event at their church and they want to see its Attendees, they can just pull up the Attendees List for that specific event.
In that Attendees List, there will not be anything about another event. It will only be the attendees who are literally going to be at the ABC Church event.
For the DEF Church, same thing: If they’re having an event at their own church, then they can sell tickets or have RSVPs and then check the Attendees List for that specific event. This list will not include any details from other events, like the one at ABC Church. It will only show the attendees of that specific DEF Church event.
Does this information help at all? If not, let me know a bit more about your concern and I’ll try to address your questions more accurately!
Thanks,
GeorgeGeorge
ParticipantHi Thomas,
Thanks for your patience. I understand your frustrations, and hope to clarify things for the sake of a productive conversation here.
It seems that you are describing Yoast optimization for individual events, and then also asking about adding Yoast optimization to what you describe as “the community event page where a user inputs an event”.
I hope to address both inquiries as follows:
• The Community Events submission page (what you describe as “the community event page where a user inputs an event”) is not really a “Page”. It’s a dynamically-generated form at the URL endpoint specified in your Community Events settings. So there is not any Yoast optimization available by default for the /community/add or /community/edit/ form pages themselves.
• The other part of your question seems to be about adding specific Yoast meta values to events upon them being submitted, so that an event automatically has some of its values injected into its corresponding Yoast SEO fields upon creation. Is this an accurate summation of your goals? If so, then unfortunately this is not possible. To make things function in this way, you would have to write some extensive custom code yourself or hire a professional developer to do it for you. We have a list of great developers here → http://m.tri.be/18k1 (and have no affiliation with any of these folks—they’re simply some well-respected names in the community that we’ve compiled to share in situations like this one).
I hope this helps!

ParticipantHi there,
Thank you for reaching out. These forums here are our “Pre-sales Questions” forums, so we unfortunately cannot field technical support questions here.
It doesn’t currently appear that you have a premium license with us. If this is wrong, and you do have a premium license with us, then apologies for my misunderstanding!
However, in that case please log into the account on this site that has your premium license, and then post this question in a premium support forum.
If you indeed do not have a premium license, then please post your question in our free support forums here → http://wordpress.org/plugins/the-events-calendar
We check those forums a bit more than once per week, so hopefully we will be able to get to your question there.
Thank you,
George -
