Work around for tribe_events_has_tickets() / tribe_events_has_soldout()

Hi,

For the moment the core plugin “The Events Calendar” is required when using tribe_events_has_tickets() and tribe_events_has_soldout(). When not active it results in a fatal error because of some missing classes / functions.

Is there a work around for this? Now using Event Tickets Plus and ecommerce solution EDD.

Both functions exist within Event Tickets → http://wordpress.org/plugins/event-tickets

1. Do you have both Event Tickets and Event Tickets Plus installed on your site?

2. If so, what versions of both plugins do you have installed on your site?

Yes both plugins are installed / active on my site.

Event Tickets: version 4.4.0.1
Event Tickets Plus: version 4.4

FATAL ERROR: UNCAUGHT ERROR: CALL TO UNDEFINED FUNCTION TRIBE_EVENTS_GET_EVENT()

Hey @Liesbet,

Thanks for confirming this error message. I have confirmed your report and am making a bug ticket for our developers.

For the time being, please leave The Events Calendar activated on your site—you don’t have to actually use the calendar, of course, or link visitors on your site to it or anything. But leaving it activated should be helpful here as a temporary solution.

I will mark this thread “Pending Fix” and will post an update when there’s news about this being fixed. I do not have a specific estimate of when you can expect a fix—it could take several weeks, unfortunately.
