    Hey @Bizdoktor,

I’m really sorry about all of the time you wasted on this, and am sorry for the frustration!

These 404s are not actually problematic – read more about why these 404s exist and what they mean on this Knowledgebase Article here: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/404_and_seo/

    Thank you!

    Hey Manilo!

    Thanks for reaching out.

WooCommerce Tickets requires The Events Calendar and WooCommerce to be installed; both are free plugins.

Events Calendar Pro is NOT required.

I hope this helps – let me know if I can help with anything else! 🙂

    Hey @Nadine,

Sorry to hear about this! I am not able to reproduce this problem so to get started here, can you share your “System Information” with us? Here’s how → https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/sharing-sys-info/

    Thanks!

Hi Jim! To be clear, is there a specific question here? Are you asking if this is possible for example?

If so, for example, then this is unfortunately not possible without code customization:

I want the results to appear in date sequence and hopefully an option to display venues by states that have events.

Next, in general, there is not “Artist” taxonomy in The Events Calendar to begin with, just our “Organizers” taxonomy, so you would have to make a new “Artists” taxonomy to do all the exact things you listed here.

    Cheers,
    George

    Hi Keith,

While we unfortunately not speak much for other plugins, if it’s truly a “Short code” then you should be able to add the short code into the content of any event – in other words, right from within your event content editor in your site’s wp-admin, without having to modify code files.

If “short code” doesn’t mean the specific WordPress feature “shortcode”, and adding custom code is required, then you might find single-event.php to be a good location for the code.

Now, it seems from your issue that your files might not even be updating at all, which could be the problem here too…

Unfortunately, this is something you would have to troubleshoot mostly on your own, but here are some thoughts:

    • If you are trying to use the principles outlined in our Themer’s Guide for these file edits, ignore these principles for now and just modify the core plugin files to see if the changes take effect. This is just a test to try and figure out where the problem lays; if you modify core files and the changes take effect, then the issue would just be the file structure you tried to replicate in your theme version of these templates or something.

    • If nothing I wrote above made sense, and you are not familiar with our Themer’s Guide or anything, then I’m wondering: have you made these file changes locally on your computer? And if so, are you certain that you have correctly then re-uploaded the modified files to your site via FTP?

    Cheers!

    Hey @Lars,

Unfortunately we don’t have any ideas on this. The “Events” post type is a totally-normal and standards-compliant post type, so in theory it should show up if any other normal, standards-compliant post types show up.

So this sounds like a theme-specific issue, and I would recommend using the theme developer’s support channels for assistance with this.

Best of luck with your project!

    Hey Greg,

We unfortunately might be able to help much here, because modifying the theme styles is something we do not officially support.

Also, getting recurring events to not load a certain amount is also a very tricky customization.

Finally, this is the “Pre-Sales Questions” forum only, and so technical requests are not best served here

With all that being said, can you log into your account on this side to which your Events Calendar Pro license belongs? Your thread here is posted by an unregistered account.

If you post in the Events Calendar Pro forum with your licensed account, share a link back to this forum thread for reference and please include a link to where we can see these issues live.

Let me know when you’ve made this new forum post, and share a link to it here. I will help out as much as I can there!

    Thank you,
    George

    Hey Keith,

Unfortunately, we do not include our plugin in any theme ourselves, so the version that the theme developers put into their theme could be outdated or something. We do not offer support for any versions of our software other than the official ones we share from our site here on http://theeventscalendar.com or from here and here only → http://wordpress.org/plugins/the-events-calendar

Further this is a Pre-Sales forum, and we do not field technical requests here. I would recommend wholly getting rid of whatever version of The Events Calendar the theme included – contact the theme developer for help with this if it will break their theme or something.

Once that version of the plugin is gone, install the real version of the plugin with the files from here → http://wordpress.org/plugins/the-events-calendar

Then, you can post your technical support questions here: https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/the-events-calendar

    Cheers!

    Hey Oliver!

Thank you for reporting all of this. In your other threads you reported some bugs and we are working on those closely! Here, however, the numerous text domains you show in your screenshot do not come from one file.

They are separate domains for separate pieces of software, and so this separation of strings is by design.

I will log the issues of the strings not translating that you highlighted though – thank you for highlighting these!

I will close this thread – please keep all followups in the following thread: theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/issues-with-german-translations-in-tec-3-12-6/

That will help us keep things organized here.

    Cheers!

    Hey @Oliver,

Thanks for reporting these issues. You have two other translation-related threads open at present, and those seem to be valid bugs that we are working.

However, in this case I’m not sure if there’s a bug. “The events calendar”, “Community Events”, and “WP Router” are all separate pieces of software technically, and so a different text domain for each one is actually by design.

Also, what software are you using for the translations in your screenshots?

    Cheers,
    George

    Hey Oliver,

First of all, thank you so much for your reports of these issues. You have revealed several bugs here and in some of our other plugins!

To keep things simple, I will consolidate all of your several threads into this one thread for the sake of organization. With that in mind, here’s just a reference to your other threads about these translation issues:

I have made a bug ticket in our development tools so that we can investigate each of these issues. We are working on a fix and can hopefully include these fixes in either a maintenance release or in the upcoming 4.0 release itself.

    Thank you Oliver!

    Hey Oliver,

Thank you so much for your reports of these issues. You have revealed several bugs here and in some of our other plugins. I’m really sorry that these bugs exist at all, but we have validated your findings and are working on fixes for all of these issues.

To keep things simple, I will consolidate all of your several threads into this one thread here: http://theeventscalendar.com/?p=1025546

Please post there for any more discussion related to these translation issues; I know normally we try to split issues into separate threads, but in this case it will just be simpler to stay coordinated in one single thread.

Check out that thread for my reply regarding these things.

I will close up this thread for now.

    Thank you!

    Hey @barback,

Thanks for reaching out – I’m sorry to bear this news, but what you described is essentially the default way the “Include events in main blog loop” option works. Altering this to only include the next 3 upcoming events is a bit tricky and would require writing custom code 🙁

The customization of this outright is a bit too complex for full code support here on the forums, but if you’re keen on enabling this limitation on your site, you can find the relevant code by going to this file in your The Events Calendar plugin files: src/Tribe/Query.php

Around line 158 you’ll find the relevant code. With this file and/or the action tribe_events_pre_get_posts() you can customize the query output. You’ll need some familiarity with WordPress’ own pre_get_posts() function, which you can learn about here if you’re not familiar with it → https://codex.wordpress.org/Plugin_API/Action_Reference/pre_get_posts

    I hope this information helps!

in reply to: WooTickets: How to transfer licence to another account? #1026346

    Hey @Jason!

Thanks for reaching out – the best solution here would be to contact us at [email protected] directly, with a link back to this forum thread for reference.

What we can do is issue a one-time discount code that your client can use to buy a new WooCommerce Tickets license for free. Its expiration date will be the same as your current license’s expiration date, so that it’s essentially just a license transfer; but by getting their own license through the checkout process, it will help ensure that their account information is properly tied to the license and such so they can self-manage it indefinitely.

Once that is taken care of, then, I can cancel your current WooCommerce Tickets license if it’s a Personal License – if it’s not a personal license, then you can just disconnect the client site’s URL from your license page in http://theeventscalendar.com/my-account/license-keys, and then you’ll be good to go! 🙂

There is indeed only one location at this time – while you can change the actual “slug” in the URL, so it could be /events OR /calendar OR /agenda, it cannot be /calendar AND /events and so on…

Only one calendar is available at this time; creating a public and private version, for example, is not possible at this time 🙁

    I’m sorry about this!
