    Hey Wendy!

Absolutely – we have a knowledgebase article that covers the exact process here → https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/relabeling-the-venue-organizer-sections-in-event-meta/

If this is not helpful, can you please clarify why? And clarify exactly how you want each of these labels to appear on the front end:

    • Event/s
    • Organizer/s
    • Venue/s

Describe what you want these labels to be instead if the article I shared doesn’t help…

    Thank you! 😀

    Hey @areadmin,

I also noticed that your WordPress version is 3.9.1

That is far out of date; the current version is 4.4

You will need to update WordPress to at least version 4.3.1 before any more support steps can be taken.

This might help – let me know if it does! If you update to at least 4.3.1, or to 4.4, and issues persist, then do the theme and plugin steps I wrote in my above reply 🙂

    Thank you!

    Hey @Areadmin,

    I’m sorry to see this!

Can you try activating a default theme like Twenty Fourteen? If so – how does the page function in this theme?

Also, if you have any caching plugins, please deactivate theme and see if that also makes a difference.

Let me know what you find! We can continue investigating the cause from there.

    Cheers 🙂

    Hey @Lisa,

I’m sorry to hear about this!

Can you clarify exactly what you mean when you write:

But these are no longer working on single events using the MORE <!–more–> in 4.0.1

The <!–more–> text has no role on single pages, posts, events, etc., since it is only used for “feed” views.

Can you explain exactly what happens with this text on a single event?

Does all event content after this <!–more–> text not show up? Does all content except for shortcodes show up?

Just trying to figure out the exact problem – I will try to recreate it and we can continue investigating from there.

    Thank you!

    Hey @Lewiscenterarts,

We have a “list widget” that might meet your needs here – here are two articles worth checking out to determine if so:

    • https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/configuring-the-list-widget/

If the List Widget / Advanced List Widget are not adequate for your needs, can you clarify exactly why? Is it just the way the events are sorted, for example? Let me know and I can help point you in the right direction for the next best steps if the default widgets are not adequate.

    Thank you,
    George

    Hey John,

Changing the WooCommerce text is unfortunately not something we can help a ton with – it’s a WooCommerce-specific question, but fortunately there are articles like this one → https://docs.woothemes.com/document/change-add-to-cart-button-text/

    I hope that helps!

As for the Google Maps box being grey, can you please link to where there is an example of this on your site?

@Chris – John has two issues here, a text-change and a map issue. So to keep things organized, can you post your question in another thread? Custom code will be needed for your customization, which we unfortunately cannot help with very much. However, by putting it in another thread that will increase our ability to help.

    Thank you!

There is unfortunately not any way to sort the results there unless you dive into the plugin’s code directly – if you’re comfortable with that, you can use any of the sorting parameters for WP_Query here: https://codex.wordpress.org/Class_Reference/WP_Query

Let me know if this is helpful; we unfortunately cannot help much with custom code but I hope the information is helpful enough for you to get started!

    Cheers,

Thanks for staying on top of this, @Mad Dog, I have indeed looked up the current development ticket and this is under development. I’m sorry that this is the best news for the moment 🙁

Please let me know what you think and if you have further questions for the time being.

    Sincerely,
    George

    Hey @charles,

This is unfortunately also not possible without some extensive code customization 🙁

    I’m really sorry to disappoint!

    @Pinder:

    1. I am clearly here trying to help you fix this. I understand the frustrations with things like this, but am trying to help here and it unfortunately requires some back-and-forth to resolve issues like this.

    2. By “issues like this”, to be clear, I mean that this seems to be happening because of your theme, to begin with.

    3. I looked at the bottom of your theme’s style.css file → http://buffalohealthyliving.com/wp-content/themes/thegossip/style.css

The code I recommended is not even there – so have you tried the specific thing I suggested? To reiterate, it is to add the specific block of CSS code I recommended to the bottom of your theme’s style.css file.

If you do add this, and are certain there, and issues persist, then do not remove the code, and let me know that issues persist. I will confirm that the code is there and keep working on this with you to fix this.

    Thank you,
    George

    Hey Tony,

    I’m sorry to hear this!

Can you see if errors pop up on your site if you head to your site’s wp-config.php file and change this line of code:

    define('WP_DEBUG', false);

    to this:

    define('WP_DEBUG', true);

That will display PHP errors if any exist, which might be quite useful here.

Once you’ve made this change, see if there are errors just on the site at all. If so, share them.

Then, try deactivating WooCommerce Tickets and see if errors pop up other than the normal “Server Error – 500”, and if so share them.

I’m sorry to keep recommending things to reveal errors; but I cannot reproduce the problem, and so trying to figure out the exact cause of this is crucial! I’m sorry about the trouble caused by all of this; but your patience with it means a lot and I appreciate it.

Let me know what you find by making these changes – if you’re unfamiliar with making the sort of change I recommend here, then unfortunately I would recommend asking your web hosting provider to activate WP_DEBUG on the site and/or to see if they can spot any specific problem that causes the 500 – server error.

    Thank you!

    Hi Pro,

No need to post elsewhere for these questions 🙂

    1. when you say add-on you mean to buy several to achieve it? Events Calendar + add-on “Community Events” How much is that?

Yes, you would need to buy a license for these premium add-ons. The lowest license cost is $89USD per license.

    2. Do you have Booking cut-off date, this is the definite date after which bookings will be closed (ex: before the events starts)?

Yes – you can set each each ticket to have a “Start sale” date and “End sale” date. If before the start sale date, or after the end sale date, tickets/bookings cannot be bought.

    3. Why does it show the names of other Organizers?

I don’t know what you mean here, unfortunately – if you mean the “mr. magic mixtake” text in the first screenshot, this is just the title of another event, not of an organizer.

    4. Does it have
Total Spaces: Individual tickets with remaining spaces will not be available if total booking spaces reach this limit?
    5. Maximum Spaces Per Booking?

I’m not sure what this means either, unfortunately, but it sounds like you’re asking if you can set quantities on different ticket types. The answer to this is YES – you can say ticket type A (which maybe is Free and for bookings) only has 50 spots, but then ticket type B (which maybe is $10.00 per ticket for some other thing) only has 25 spots, and once these limits are reached independently of each other they will not be able to sell more spots.

    I hope this helps!

No worries! 😀 I’m just glad to hear that progress has been made with this issue, regardless.

Thanks for the update Nick, best of luck with your site.

Thank you for that tidbit of information – that actually might be part of the issue here!

Before doing the sub-site activations like I recommended above, what about if you instead first just try to remove the license key from your wp-admin?

Then, head to http://theeventscalendar.com/license-keys, and use the “Disconnect Now” links to disconnect all licenses from your site where this error appears.

Then go back to the site wp-admin, plug in that license, and see if the error arises again.

If it does, I’m very sorry – and in this case, you do not HAVE TO do the sub-site activation I recommended, because essentially that message is incorrect because you have an Unlimited License. And so then, while I know how inconvenient/annoying that message might be, you could more or less ignore it until we ship a fix for this.

I’m really sorry for all of the trouble here, @Jaapstronks. Thank you for your patience and politeness despite all of this!

    Sincerely,
    George
