ParticipantHey @Glenn!
I will check our 4.2 release notes to make sure this is in there—it’s meant to be, so if it was indeed left out, it was a mistake!
Real sorry about that. To use the embed features, check out this knowledgebase guide for a simple tutorial: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/inserting-calendar-content-post-page-content/
Check out the “Single Event” section down at the bottom, and try it out! 😀
Cheers,

ParticipantHey @terry,
Thanks for reaching out!
This is unfortunately not possible with anything “out-of-the-box.” The easiest way to pull something like this off would be to put these widget-only events in some sort of category that exists only for internal use, like literally “widget-only” or “Admin: Widget Only” or something like that.
Any event that should only show in the widget: put it in this category.
Then, use custom CSS to hide the events in this category in the main calendar, but then selectively show these events based on the category if they happen to be in the widget.
To write custom CSS on your site, definitely check out a [free!] tool like Firebug if you use FireFox, or the Developer Tools for either Safari or Chrome. They have “Inspector” tools that let you zoom right over the element whose CSS you need to modfiy.
I hope these ideas help!

ParticipantHey Janice,
Thanks for reaching out. This is an interesting question and situation—at this time, our plugins do not have any special support for that “Sequential Order Numbers Pro” extension, and that extension could be breaking the tickets outright because we do not support it.
Aside from the discrepancy of the order number in the ticket email, do you have any other issues while using this extension in conjunction with our ticketing plugins? Does anything else seem to break, for example? Or is all tickets functionality otherwise intact?
Thank you!

ParticipantHey @Lars,
There is a new update for Facebook Events. Facebook Events is now at version 4.2, as of this morning.
All of our plugins were updated to 4.2 today: The Events Calendar, Events Calendar Pro, Facebook Events, everything….
So, I would recommend updating everything you can. If you do not get a notice to update to 4.2 in your wp-admin, then this may be happening for a number of reasons. Make sure you have entered your Facebook Events license key…if you have made sure this was set and saved, and no update notice arrives, then we can do further troubleshooting from there—but, in the meantime, I would recommend updating manually just to get your site in top shape. You can do that by getting the plugin files directly any time at http://theeventscalendar.com/my-account/downloads
Thank you,
GeorgeGeorge
ParticipantHey Jeff!
Thanks for reaching out. I will address your questions in order:
First question: Should Events Calendar be active as well as Events Calendar Pro, or should the first plug-in be deactivated?
☝️ Yes, The Events Calendar must remain active. All of the other plugins are “add-ons” to this main, core plugin.
Second question: Having updated all her plugins that required updates recently, she received the following messages, again (we thought this had been resolved): […]
All of the plugins at this time are now at version 4.2. So messaes urging you to update to persist.
Things will work fine, and update notices are not “harbingers of problems to come” (great wording!), they are just a bit annoying and persistent because you should update whenever a new update is available.
Now, onto doing the updating…
The licenses your account has are both Personal Licenses, meaning they will only work on one domain name. I don’t see a “staging URL” listed for your license keys, so it seems that they are configured correctly, but the staging server you mention could still be a factor here.
What I would recommend is the following:
1. Remove the license keys from your wp-admin on your live site.
2. Remove the license keys from your wp-admin on your staging site.
3. Head to http://theeventscalendar.com/license-keys and use the “Disconnect” links next to the license keys to disassociate them from the domain names they were linked to.
4. Head back to your live site—not staging—and enter the license keys again; save them in the wp-admin and see if things work any better.
5. Do NOT put the license keys in the staging site. This will not affect plugin functionality in any way whatsoever; license keys have no affect on the code, they simply sign the domain name up for updates.☝️ Let me know what you find by doing all of this! And please note that you can also perform the updates manually at any time. The files for The Events Calendar are available any time at http://wordpress.org/plugins/the-events-calendar, and the files for the premium add-ons are available at http://theeventscalendar.com/my-account/downloads
Cheers!

ParticipantHey Julia,
I’m so sorry to hear this. This is a bug that a few of our team members have been able to reproduce, but that others, like myself, have not been able to reproduce…so the behavior is inconsistent and we’re not quite certain what is causing this.
Can you clarify what version you are updating from? I.e., have you been using The Events Calendar version 4.1.4 before this 4.2 update? Or perhaps something else like 4.1.1? (To the best of your knowledge.)
Really sorry for the trouble here, Julia!

ParticipantHey @gary,
We unfortunately do not have the ability to “copy” or otherwise notify email addresses in forum thread other than the address associated with the user account specifically.
The maps actually seem to be working fine for me. Please see these screenshots:
• https://cloudup.com/cEH0v7qEzlM☝️ Those are on the two posts you linked to above.
1. Do you confirm that things work now, or are there issues on other pages on your site?
2. If there are issues with maps on other pages on your site, what are some links to specific pages?
3. If issues are persisting on other pages, please perform these steps:
• Update The Events Calendar to 4.2, which just came out today.
• Update Events Calendar Pro to 4.2, which just came out today.Thank you for your patience here,
GeorgePS
You posted login credentials, which I have removed from this thread. We are not able to log into customer sites for any reason. I am sorry to bear that news.George

ParticipantI’m sorry to hear this!
I cannot recreate this behavior on my own site, so to help investigate, can you post your site’s “System Information” here? Here is how to do that ? https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/sharing-sys-info/
Thank you!
GeorgeGeorge
ParticipantThanks for clarifying, @Sean! I’m sorry to bear the news that even changing just those inline styles still requires modifying that core function at this time.
I’m sorry to disappoint!
I think this should be a customizable file, and will make a ticket for our developers so that we can possibly make that happen.
Please let me know if there is anything else I can try to help with.

ParticipantHey Karelle,
Apologies for my misunderstanding there!
You can buy licenses right here on http://theeventscalendar.com, for example you can buy Events Calendar Pro on this page ? https://theeventscalendar.com/product/wordpress-events-calendar-pro/
I hope this helps!
