ParticipantHello. Great plugins so far, just having one small challenge.
I have events that run say Tuesday 4-8 and Thursday 4-8 for the same event. Spread over a couple days but there is no way to create that. Seems like it would be a pretty straight forward thing but I am not seeing any options to do so. How can this be accomplished?
Your assistance would be greatly appreciated.

ParticipantHey @Sean,
Thanks for reaching out. Our plugins, at this time, do not offer much support for the same event occurring across multiple days. If it’s straight through—i.e., it starts Tuesday, goes through Wednesday, then ends at some point on Thursday—then our plugins can do that out-of-the-box.
But to happen a few hours on Tuesday, then a few on Thusrday, you would have to make two separate events.
There is one method for having one event occur as you describe, which requires using the recurring event features in Events Calendar Pro. What you would do is, essentially, have the event recur daily for three days: Tuesday 4–8pm (for example), Wednesday 4–8pm, and Thursday 4–8pm.
Then, just add an “Exclusion” for that Wednesday in the middle, and you’ll be left with a single event on Tuesday and Thursday.
If this sounds a bit complicated, I’m sorry about that—it’s the best our plugins provide at this time. Here is a screenshot of the configuration I described above, which I hope helps:
Take a look at this information, and read more about recurring events here if you’re not familiar with them. Let us know if this helps!

ParticipantHello George,
Thank you for the email.
I setup the event as described but for some reason Wednesday is still showing up in the list of events on the calendar page.
I have attached a screen cap to show you my configuration. I also have events calendar pro, filters and event tickets plus.
It would be great if the event would not show on the excluded day on the calendar view
Have a great night.
Cheers,

ParticipantActually. In the week view it also shows the event going all day from 4pm Tuesday to 6pm Thursday yet the event is only scheduled 4pm-6pm with an exclusion Wednesday.
Thank you for your time.

ParticipantSorry to hear this, @Sean.
Can you post your site’s System Information to help me investigate further? Here’s how to do that ? https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/sharing-sys-info/

ParticipantCan I do this in a private feed or email as opposed to the public forum?

ParticipantHey @Sean,
You can check “Set as private reply” before posting anything here; this will make that reply visible to ONLY you and to the support team.
☝️ Is this acceptable?
