March 3, 2017 at 6:07 am in reply to: Support for exporting event data into a JSON feed over WP REST API #1248908
George
ParticipantHey Guillaume,
Full integration with and support for the REST API is indeed actively underway — we are hoping to launch such support in the next major release, version 4.5, though this is tentative and is subject to change.
Stay tuned to http://theeventscalendar.com/blog for official release announcements, which will definitely highlight REST API support when it finally does arrive. 😀
Please let me know if there are any other issues or questions I can try to help with in the meantime!

ParticipantSorry Danielle,
I misunderstood your question and thought you were referring to the QR code only…
The security code and QR code are NOT the same thing, necessarily.
It’s like this:
• Each ticket has its own unique security code, which we offer so that folks can manage tickets and check-ins on their own if they’d like. Some people like to email their attendees lists and print them out for example…and so with security codes, you can check someones ticket at the door and make sure it’s not a fake ticket by matching the security code and such…
• The QR Code is an automated way of checking in, as described above. It uses the security code, but when scanned will automatically “check-in” the person.
Does this help? 😀

ParticipantHi there,
Thank you for reaching out. These forums here are our “Pre-sales Questions” forums, so we unfortunately cannot field technical support questions here.
It doesn’t currently appear that you have a premium license with us. If this is wrong, and you do have a premium license with us, then apologies for my misunderstanding!
However, in that case please log into the account on this site that has your premium license, and then post this question in a premium support forum.
If you indeed do not have a premium license, then please post your question in our free support forums here → http://wordpress.org/plugins/the-events-calendar
We check those forums a bit more than once per week, so hopefully we will be able to get to your question there.
Thank you,
GeorgeGeorge

March 2, 2017 at 2:14 pm in reply to: Missing Event Website link at the top of the event- Will buy Pro version to fix #1248625George
ParticipantHey Jeff,
Buying Events Calendar Pro will NOT fix this issue.
You should seek support help to resolve these issues. These forums here are our “Pre-sales Questions” forums, so we unfortunately cannot field technical support questions here.
So please post your support question to help resolve that issue in our free support forums here → http://wordpress.org/plugins/the-events-calendar
We check those forums a bit more than once per week, so hopefully we will be able to get to your question there.
You might also want to post in the X Theme forums, in case this is a theme-related issue which it sounds like it might be.
While buying an Events Calendar Pro license won’t automagically resolve the problem, it would give you access to the technical support forums on this site, so that’s something to consider too if you want faster support than the free wordpress.org forums I linked to above.
I hope all this information helps! I’ll close this thread for now to facilitate the actions laid out above: either post in the free forums on wordpress.org, post to X theme forums, or buy a license for Events Calendar Pro and post in the premium forums here on http://theeventscalendar.com.
Cheers!

ParticipantHey Danielle,
QR Codes are added by default—they’re a core feature of our ticketing plugins. These codes can be scanned with a QR Code reader (tons of iPhone apps and Android apps for that, for example), which when scanned will “check in” the attendee.
It’s just an alternative method for checking-in attendees at the door…
You can read more about them on this Knowledgebase guide: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/managing-your-orders-and-attendees/
Please let me know if that helps and if there are any other issues or questions I can try to help with!

ParticipantHey Chris,
Thanks for the update, glad you’re making progress.
Just to set expectations, we cannot help at all when it comes to modifying the look or behavior of our plugins, as elaborated upon here: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/what-support-is-provided-for-license-holders/
This includes template modifications and CSS tweaks and everything in between.
In regards to your question about where to put the modified view file so you don’t lose it, please use the methods in our Themer’s Guide ? https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/themers-guide/
Using those methods, you can place that file in your theme in this location: tribe-events/wootickets/tickets.php.
Consult that Themer’s Guide for more information and keep backups of all your code — customized code or not — even if you use the themer’s guide template methods.
Best of luck with your customizing!
GeorgeMarch 2, 2017 at 9:49 am in reply to: Single Page Event Not Rendering Properly On Optimizepress 2.0 Page #1248485George
ParticipantGlad to hear about some progress here, David.
You describe the following:
However, when I click ‘All Events’ from the single event page to go back to the calendar, the main events calendar page shows rather than going back to the functioning calendar embedded on the live editor page.
☝️ This is the correct and by-design functionality of the plugin. “All Events” links go to the main calendar page, not to any instance of the [tribe_events] shortcode.
You could only alter these links by modifying plugin code or making custom event templates. We are not able to help with either thing, as elaborated upon here, but I’m just noting that it’s possible this way…otherwise, it’s not.
I hope that information helps clarify things a bit — please let me know if there are any other issues or questions I can try to help with.

ParticipantI’m sorry Stanley — one of our developers is working on these issues, but a proper update may not arrive until Monday of next week or later. I am sorry about that but here’s the reason why it’s taking a while:
• You are right that your files are fine, we’ve confirmed.
• With other files that are also fine, we’re not recreating this problem.
• And so…it’s a weird puzzle about why your valid files would have issues that other valid files are not having.I totally understand how frustrating the pace of this can be and appreciate your patience while we work on this. I can confirm that this isn’t “abandoned” or anything, though, and am sorry if my lack of updates gave that impression—there just wasn’t much to say other than “we’re still working on it”, but I will try to confirm that now more regularly so it doesn’t appear abandoned.
Please let me know if there are any other issues or questions I can try to help with while we continue to work on this!

ParticipantSorry for the delay here, AJ. I’ve been discussing this issue with our development because there is a known bug with GoDaddy hosting, but we’ve actually confirmed that it’s not just GoDaddy hosting.
We are actively working on a fix for this bug and I will post news about that here as we learn more and have updates about the status of the bug fix…
…stay tuned!
