Support for exporting event data into a JSON feed over WP REST API

Hello,

When an user asked about exporting event data into a JSON feed in 2015, she was told that it would be best to wait for the official WP REST API.

That REST API is, since 4.7, an official part of WordPress. Are there any plans to support it? Calling e.g. tribe_venue currently only produces a 401 rest_cannot_read_type error.

Hey Guillaume,

Full integration with and support for the REST API is indeed actively underway — we are hoping to launch such support in the next major release, version 4.5, though this is tentative and is subject to change.

Thank you George for your reply! Being able to easily export event data would be essential for my use case. Do you have a timeline for 4.5, even a vague one? Next week or next year? 🙂

Sure thing. Version 4.5 will hopefully arrive within the next month or two, though this is of course subject to change and is not set in stone.
