ParticipantSorry to see this, Odile. To help us investigate, can you please post your site’s complete, un-edited system information using the “Sharing information manually” steps outlined in this article: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/sharing-sys-info/
Thanks!

ParticipantHey Amiel,
Thanks for reaching out. You only specify one event with the shortcode, so whether that event is in the past or future it shouldn’t matter. Just use the Post ID of the event and that event should be rendered via the shortcode without issue.
Can you specify what trouble you’re having here? Copy the exact of a version of the shortcode that is failing for you and paste that text here.
Thanks!

ParticipantHi Susan,
You have two threads open on these forums. There is this current thread, and then this other thread: https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/time-zone-2/
Our support technician is helping you in that other thread.
When it comes to the speed and expectations of support, the pace of our exchange is one reply every 24–48 hours as clarified here → https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/what-support-is-provided-for-license-holders/
Your last reply in that other thread was earlier this morning, so please keep working with Andras in that thread.
A response that does not come as quickly as one might hope is not the same thing as “no response”.
So again, the pace of our support exchanges is one reply every 24–48 hours as clarified here → https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/what-support-is-provided-for-license-holders/
Please keep that timeline in mind and continue to work with Andras on these issues in that thread.
Thanks,

ParticipantHi there,
Thank you for reaching out. These forums here are our “Pre-sales Questions” forums, so we unfortunately cannot field technical support questions here.
It doesn’t currently appear that you have a premium license with us. If this is wrong, and you do have a premium license with us, then apologies for my misunderstanding!
However, in that case please log into the account on this site that has your premium license, and then post this question in a premium support forum.
If you indeed do not have a premium license, then please post your question in our free support forums here → http://wordpress.org/plugins/the-events-calendar
We check those forums a bit more than once per week, so hopefully we will be able to get to your question there.
Thank you,
GeorgeGeorge
ParticipantHey John,
Thanks for reaching out!
We unfortunately don’t have anything like this at this time. 🙁 Community Events doesn’t have this feature out-of-the-box, nor are there any add-ons or Extensions that make this possible.
Sorry to disappoint. Please let me know if there are any other issues or questions I can try to help with!

ParticipantHi Kelly,
Sorry to hear about these issues! I’m happy to help — please respond to each of the following three questions:
1. You say, “I am adding the short code to this page”…Which shortocde are you adding, specifically?
2. Next, your error message cites a function called “education_zone_pro_excerpt_more”. None of our plugins have any function named this, so this is not coming from our plugins.
3. Have you modified any of the code in any of our plugins?

ParticipantHey Kelly,
Thanks for reaching out. The Recurring Events feature of Events Calendar Pro may help with creating one event on multiple different times and dates. Learn more about that here ? https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/pro-recurring-events/
When it comes to adding multiple locations, though, this is unfortunately not possible. You can only add an event to one Venue with our plugins at this time, and there is no way to change this. 🙁
Please let me know if this information helps and if there are any other issues or questions I can try to help with!

ParticipantHey Darren,
Thanks for reaching out! Events Calendar Pro does not replace The Events Calendar on sites — if you upgrade to Events Calendar Pro, for example, you do not delete The Events Calendar first then add Events Calendar Pro in its stead.
Events Calendar Pro is an add-on to The Events Calendar. So if you add Events Calendar Pro on your site, you just activate it alongside The Events Calendar, and so all of the event data is totally the same and is not lost or affected in any way.
Please let me know if this helps and if there are any other issues or questions I can try to help with!

ParticipantHey Pablo,
Thanks for reaching out. We will be able to help you on this over email, but not here on the forums.
Please email us at support at theeventscalendar.com with these questions and we will help from there! 😀

ParticipantHi Colin,
You can totally import directly from Google into your WordPress site.
But if the calendar is empty, then there is nothing to import.
Are you saying that your Google Calendar DOES HAVE a lot of events, but its exports like the iCal export of it are empty but shouldn’t be empty?

ParticipantHi Jon,
It’s true that sometimes simple code can help sidebars render on the front-end. We indeed share that information and have even created step-by-step guides for making custom template files, like in our Themer’s Guide here ? https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/themers-guide/
I am sorry to hear that simple code isn’t enough for your issue here — to learn more about getting sidebars to render, check out these WordPress Codex guides:
• https://codex.wordpress.org/Customizing_Your_SidebarIf issues persist with your default-template.php usage, I’d recommend trying to activate different themes and seeing if that makes a difference; if so, then your current theme is factoring into the failure of sidebars to render. There may also be a CSS issue.
Sidebars are theme features in WordPress. We do not make any themes and so implementing custom sidebars falls outside the scope of support we provide, as elaborated upon here.
I am sorry for the frustrations that arise from these facts and hope the information I’ve shared above helps. If you have other questions that I can try to help with, please let me know.
