ParticipantHey Jennifer,
Sorry for the trouble here! I’ve refunded the order in full—you should see those funds back in your accounts in no more than a few business days.
Cheers!

ParticipantHey Andreas,
Thanks for reaching out!
To be clear, Events Calendar Pro is NOT a “pro version of” The Events Calendar. It is a “premium add-on to” The Events Calendar.
So when you add Events Calendar Pro to your site, you do NOT get rid of The Events Calendar. Both plugins remain active and work together to provide a great calendar.
So yes, all event data is kept and there is no issue there. 😀
Cheers!

ParticipantHey @Stephane,
Sorry to hear about some of the issues you’ve been having with cancelling orders and getting the stock back in line.
We recently published a Knowledgebase article that covers how to cancel orders and reset stock counts. Check that article out here: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/refund-cancel-tickets-order/
☝️ This article also has links to documentation for specific eCommerce platforms, so if you’re using WP eCommerce you should be able to use these methods in combination with some of the WP eCommerce documentation linked to, and should be able to cancel orders and tickets without it ruining your stock counts.
Have a look at that article and the documentation it links to…let us know if this helps!

ParticipantHey Urs,
Thanks for reaching out!
The best way to disable it completely is to simple Deactivate the Filter Bar plugin.
Let us know if you do that and if it helps!

ParticipantSorry to hear about this Cláudia! I am happy to take a closer look and try and figure out the problem.
To help me investigate, can you share a link to your site’s events page?
Then can you also post your site’s “System Information”? It’s super easy; here’s how → https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/sharing-sys-info/
Thanks!
GeorgeSeptember 29, 2016 at 8:11 am in reply to: What are we paying for with the fee? Is it a yearly occurring fee? #1170382George
ParticipantHey Samantha,
Each plugin has its own license pricing, and several different license levels. I would recommend check out the product page for each product on our site; determining what license level is best for you; and then adding those items to your cart.
Your cart will total up all of the fees so you can see your exact total charge for the first purchase.
You should then expect to pay that same amount every year to renew each license. We do often provide a steep discount on renewals (sometimes up to 30%), but I cannot guarantee whether that will be available one year from now.
So, for example, lets say you went with a Personal License for each of the products you listed here. That would be a total purchase of around $460 for the initial purchase, then somewhere between $320 and $460 each year to renew all licenses from then on (depending on what renewal discounts there are, if any).
I hope this is helpful!

ParticipantHey Murray,
If you want to add tickets to posts, pages, or other post types, then you don’t need The Events Calendar. But if you want to add them to events, you need The Events Calendar. Or some other plugin out there that adds events to your WordPress site.
Do you know what I mean? To clarify:
• Event Tickets and Event Tickets Plus just add ticketing and RSVP features to post types.
• By default WordPress does not provide an “Events” post type.
• So if you want “Events” on your site, and want to add tickets to those events, then you need to add a plugin on your site that adds an “Events” post type.
• The Events Calendar is a great and free way to do that. 😀Cheers,
GeorgeGeorge
ParticipantOkay, thanks Greg. So do your issues persist? And are they essentially that you will create an event and venue, publish it, and all looks fine…but then a few days later you return to the site and notice a bunch of inexplicable duplicates?
I’m sorry to ask more for clarification and details here, Greg. Earlier in the thread you said, “It’s hard to tell as this has been reported to me, I’ve not witnessed it directly,” so I understand that you may not have much detail to add here. That will make it hard for us to enact any specific recommendations or solutions until we can clearly identify a problem and its cause…so let me know what you find and what you think might be the sequence of events on your site that produces duplicate events and venues.
Thanks!

ParticipantHey Samantha!
Thanks for reaching out.
There is an initial fee for a license, and then there is an optional, manual renewal fee every year thereafter if you want to keep getting our services and Pro features.
A license provides the following things:
• Automatic software updates.
• Early access to software updates.
• Premium forum support. As for what “premium support” entails, here is a full breakdown of what our premium support services include: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/what-support-is-provided-for-license-holders/

ParticipantHey Tiana,
Thanks for reaching out, and for your interest in our plugins! I am happy to answer each of them as follows:
1. Does the form allow for uploading, such as images or zip files of assets?
- Sort of — there is support out-of-the-box for uploading images (check out this screenshot for reference), but there is not support for this by default for other types of files, including zip files. There’s also not an easy way of adding support for those file types.
2. How can we create multiple calendars for each client so that they only see what they’ve submitted/what we’re working on for them?
- At this time, you cannot truly have multiple calendars. Check out this Knowledgebase article to learn more about why not, and what workarounds exist for this problem ? https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/can-you-have-multiple-calendars/
- ☝️ In our next release, version 4.3, this will be changing slightly. You will be able to display multiple calendars, but only unfortunately by category and such. Even in the next version, it is not quite possible to have calendars that only show events from certain posters or submitters. 🙁
3. Kind of a 2nd part to the previous question, we saw documentation on custom queries – which looks like we could have multiple views of the calendar based on categories (which we’d name after the clients) – but how can the calendar be viewed on multiple pages? Is there a shortcode or php for a template to actually display the calendar based on the custom query? This is because we’d like to place these calendars on password protected pages for each client to access.
- There are not any shortcodes or templates for multi-page calendars, if I understand your questions here accurately. You can implement some basic password restriction using a plugin like Restrict Content, but otherwise it is not easily possible.
- When it comes to custom queries, you can indeed write these or hire someone to write them for you, but it’s unfortunately not something we can help with over customer support, even for folks with premium licenses.
Sorry for some disappointing news here! I hope this reply is helpful nonetheless—let me know if so and if there are any other questions that I can try to help with.
Sincerely,
GeorgeSeptember 29, 2016 at 7:20 am in reply to: Can I have a header image on the photo view, but not on the individual listings? #1170352George
ParticipantHey Sarah,
Thanks for reaching out!
Header photos are not a feature of our plugins, so unfortunately the only ways you could do what you describe here are by way of your theme or by way of some custom coding.
We unfortunately cannot help with custom coding, but there are few things I can think of recommending that might help you get started:
1. Head to Events → Settings → Display in your site’s wp-admin and find the “Events template” option. Try out every single template option available: save an option, then check on your events pages. Does any template seem to have a better “header” in place? If your theme offers header-image support, you may be able to find a template that will allow you to specify a header image.
2. If nothing from within your theme helps here, then I would recommend checking out our Themer’s Guide, which covers the basics of making template files: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/themers-guide/
☝️ You can use the methods in the Themer’s Guide to make a customized version of the Photo View that has header images.
Sorry to disappoint, Sarah!

ParticipantHey Murray,
Sorry to hear about some of the troubles here — I took a look at your site’s “System Information” and noticed that The Events Calendar was not installed on your site. If you want to have “Events” and then add tickets to those, here is what you need:
• You need The Events Calendar (free) to add events on your site.
• Then, all of the tickets and payments stuff (Event Tickets, Event Tickets Plus, WooCommerce, etc.) adds tickets to those events.
The Events Calendar is free! Check it out here → https://wordpress.org/plugins/the-events-calendar/
Install that on your site — let me know if it helps at all!
Cheers,
GeorgeGeorge
ParticipantHey Leigh,
Sorry for the troubles here! When you talked about finding it in the settings, are you referring to the Google Maps API Key options described in this article? → https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/setting-up-your-google-maps-api-key/
☝️ Just wanted to follow up and make sure things were sorted out here.
Are there any other issues or questions we can try to help with?

George
ParticipantHey Karly,
You are correct in that there is no “ranking” of related events; no default calculating of, for example, “this has 2 categories similar, so it’s MORE related than this other event with only 1 category similar.”
You are also correct with the second description you used for that code snippet shared by brook:
or will it show events occurring within 2 months of the current event’s date that also have one or more of the same tags and/or event categories?
☝️ Yes, it applies the +/- 2-month limitation to the existing tag-and-category filters. So if there is an event within 2 months of the event date but it has no common tags or categories, it will NOT show up in the “related” events.
I hope this helps!
