    Hello!

To use Event Tickets Plus, you need:

    • Event Tickets (free!)
    • WooCommerce (free!)
    • Event Tickets Plus (premium)

↑ You need all three of these plugins to be installed and activated for the Event Tickets Plus plugin to work.

    Cheers!

    Hi there,

Thank you for reaching out. These forums here are our “Pre-sales Questions” forums, so we unfortunately cannot field technical support questions here.

It doesn’t currently appear that you have a premium license with us. If this is wrong, and you do have a premium license with us, then apologies for my misunderstanding!

However, in that case please log into the account on this site that has your premium license, and then post this question in a premium support forum.

If you indeed do not have a premium license, then please post your question in our free support forums here → http://wordpress.org/plugins/the-events-calendar

We check those forums a bit more than once per week, so hopefully we will be able to get to your question there.

    Thank you,
    George

    Hey Mat,

We unfortunately do not make The Event Manager, and so if you’re looking for info regarding that plugin, it may be best to post another question to the support team of that plugin.

Our plugins — The Events Calendar and Events Calendar Pro — do allow for this sort of multiple-date-and-time configuration:

For dates, they need something that will allow them to have multiple dates with times, so for instance March 15 and 16 from 2pm to 6pm.

☝️ This is possible using Events Calendar Pro’s Recurring Events features, which you can read about here.

    Next you mention this:

For pricing, they need to be able to show variable pricing, for instance if if the customer pays before a certain date it might be cheaper, or if you make one payments as opposed to two.

Our ticketing plugins, Event Tickets and Event Tickets Plus, do offer the ability to have different ticket prices. But they don’t have features that allow for “multiple payments”, for example, nor an automatic thing where discounts apply automatically if the ticket is bought before a certain date.

Please let me know if this information is helpful and if there are any other issues or questions I can try to help with!

    Hey Stanley,

    Thank you for continued patience!

After some thorough looks at this, the only thing we’ve been able to identify as a reason why only some events are pulled in from the file is that Event Aggregator only looks 2 years into the future for events to pull in. By default, any events beyond two years from now won’t be imported.

In looking over file, there are no invalid entries we’ve been able to identify. But there are some past events, and some events more than two years into the future, and so these events will not be imported.

I apologize for not coming to this conclusion sooner—it sounds like a rather obvious conclusion to arrive at! But I was suspecting there to be something wrong with or corrupted about the file itself, given the earlier errors that came up with validation tools (and indeed it does seem like the previously-discussed STATUS: field can cause some issues with importing).

Does this information help? Please let me know if so, and if there are any other issues or questions I can try to help with.

    Thanks!

    Hi Karly,

I unfortunately don’t have update news, but can confirm that #4 and #5 will also eventually be resolved too — we are working on a large number of bugs, big and small, and so these things are indeed taking some time. 🙁 I am sorry about this fact. But development is actively in progress for these any many other bugs.

Thank you for your patience! Please let me know if there are any other issues or questions I can try to help with.

    Hi folks,

If you continue to have problems, then you may have other issues with your site. There could be an interference arising from other plugins, from your theme, from your server, or some combination of these things.

If you would like to continue troubleshooting, Neil, please open a new thread and post your site’s complete, un-edited system information to it using the “Sharing information manually” steps outlined in this article: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/sharing-sys-info/

I will close up this thread since Thomas is going to use another plugin. I am sorry about the issues here Thomas, and appreciate your patience working on some of these issues with us.

We can only grant refunds within thirty days of purchase, but I would recommend you try using the steps on this page to file a refund request anyways Thomas: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/refund-policy/

↑ We can only grant refunds within thirty days of purchase, but if you file a request we will at least attempt a refund, and based on the payment processor, it may be possible.

    Thanks,
    George

While the above information is true, before I close this thread I did want to at least try and help, @Suzanne! 😀

    One Suggestion That Might Help

I noticed in the custom code you posted this line of code:

    ‘post_type’ => ‘post’,’tribe_events’,

While this is just a simple suggestion, it may really make a difference: try using an array for those options, instead of what you currently have.

So try tweaking the code to this:

    'post_type' => array( 'post', 'tribe_events' ),

☝️ This seems like a small change but might help! 😀

Just wanted to try and share something useful, because I am sorry that we can’t help more here—I hope this information helps a bit!

    Cheers,
    George

    Hi there,

We cannot help with any custom coding as elaborated upon here: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/what-support-is-provided-for-license-holders/

⚠️ Please read that guide before responding!

With those rules in mind, then, to get your custom homepage ideas working as you want, you would have to figure out your own custom coding and troubleshoot issues with it yourself, or would have to hire a professional developer to do it for you.

We have a list of great developers here → http://m.tri.be/18k1 (and have no affiliation with any of these folks—they’re simply some well-respected names in the community that we’ve compiled to share in situations like this one).

I am sorry about the fact that we cannot help here, but wish you the best of luck with your customizations.

    Sincerely,
    George

    Hey Steve,

    Thanks for reaching out.

What you say about recurring events and tickets is indeed true. In regards to seeing demos of that, there isn’t anything “special” about how these events would display or their tickets would display, so the default demo/trial options mentioned on this Knowledgebase guide should be helpful for you to get a sense of how events, tickets, etc., look and function:

↑ Use these resources to get a sense of how events — recurring and non-recurring alike — look on different calendar views…

Please let me know if those resources are helpful and if there are any other issues or questions I can try to help with.

    Cheers,

    Hey Ivan,

    Thanks for reaching out.

Extensive custom coding would indeed be required to pull off what you describe here.

We are not able to help with custom coding, so to implement the features you describe, you would have to write that custom code or hire a professional developer to do it for you.

Really sorry to hear this Naomi!

We don’t have other reports of this error and I cannot recreate it myself, so here’s what I would recommend doing:

    1. Use FTP to manually delete the existing /the-events-calendar folder from your site’s /wp-content/plugins directory.
    2. Delete any folders for other Events plugins, too, like /events-calendar-pro or /the-events-calendar-community-events for example.

Note: Deleting those files will NOT delete any event data!

If you’re not familiar with FTP, you can either research online how to do this, or you can contact your web host directly and ask them to remove those folders from your /wp-content/plugins directly for you.

    3. Once those folders are removed, head to your site’s dashboard…does it show up again? Can you access your dashboard fine, without issue?

    4. If so, then download a fresh copy of The Events Calendar from here: theeventscalendar.com/my-account/downloads

    5. Install that fresh copy on your site and activate The Events Calendar.

Do any errors pop up when you activate this copy? If so, please post the full error message you get when you do that here.

We can continue the conversation from that point in the above steps — let us know how things go! 😀

    Hi Pierre!

Thanks for reaching out. Creating such a relationship is possible, but would unfortunately require some significant custom coding to implement 🙁

So to implement those sorts of features and that custom relationship, you would have to write extensive custom code yourself or hire a professional developer to do it for you. We have a list of great developers here → http://m.tri.be/18k1 (and have no affiliation with any of these folks—they’re simply some well-respected names in the community that we’ve compiled to share in situations like this one).

    Hey Jason,

    Thanks for reaching out.

Approved nonprofits get a 30% discount code for products other than the one they were explicitly approved for, so you could use that code if your nonprofit is approved for the program. There aren’t any bundles that would include your specific list of plugins, though, nor do we have the ability to create custom bundles…so that nonprofit discount code would be the only discount here.

Does this information help? Let me know if so, and if there’s anything else I can try to help with. 🙂

    Hey Martin,

Manual examinations/diffs of the updates would indeed be required at this time. 🙁 We may indeed roll out better documentation of such changes at some point, but unfortunately there is no such thing for now.

In the meantime, something like Mathew’s recommendation may work well for making diffs easier to generate, and to make it easier to compare files. That is the best software combination I can think of, but there may be good diff tools for Mac I am not aware of—I would recommend browsing online or even the Mac App Store for any such tools. If you find ones that look good, try to find ones with a trial license or at least a good refund policy so you can test some different options out without having to commit to a given purchase or tool.

I hope this information all helps! While I will be closing this thread specifically, be sure to open a new thread any time if other issues or questions arise!

    Sincerely,
    George
