    Hey there Suzanne,

    Thank you for writing back.
    By the looks of it, it sounds like there is another piece of code interfering in the functions.php file of your WordPress theme.

    Could you please send me a copy of the latest version of your WordPress theme / child theme via a link to a .zip file link (stored Dropbox or Google Drive) so that I can run some tests on my end ? I recommend a private reply for that purpose.

    Please ensure you are using the latest files as found on your actual website.
    This way I will get access to any updates or customizations you might have made.

    Hang in there!

    Good evening Jeff,

    Please let me know what you find out.
    In my experience, the folks from Avada (and their Community) are pretty awesome.

     I needed to make a global change to the container background color in Avada for another page of the site I’m working and that setting apparently changed the background color of the single event main content area (the description), which I’d prefer to be white.

    No worries, try this:

    .single-tribe_events .tribe_events .fusion-fullwidth {background-color: #fff !important;}

    Have a great day!

    Good evening David,

    You are right!

    The issue is that this section of the page is generated by the $time_formatted variable defined in /wp-content/plugins/the-events-calendar/src/views/modules/meta/details.php at line 25

    The simplest way to tackle this would be via a template override of that file. You might want to read our Themer’s guide to get a sense of how that works.

    Basically, remove the end time from that variable, upload the file back in the correct folder in your Avada Child theme and you should be good to go.

    Let me know how that goes.

    Best regards,
    Geoff B.

    Good evening Minda,

    This is actually totally my bad.

    You could apply the snippet found on this page (the second one) in the functions.php file of your theme (without the PHP tag at the top): https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/redirect-to-custom-login/

    But first to be extra safe, before making any changes to your functions.php file, you should make a backup of that file.

    Let me know how that goes.

    Best regards,
    Geoff B.

    Good evening Abigail,

    Yes absolutely.

    In fact you need the Events Calendar to use Community Events. Finally, as you can see in the Community Tickets page, you also need Event Tickets Plus to use Community tickets.

    So to summarize you will need:

    1. the Events Calendar (free): https://theeventscalendar.com/product/wordpress-events-calendar/
    2. Event Tickets (free): https://theeventscalendar.com/product/wordpress-event-tickets/
    3. Event Tickets Plus: https://theeventscalendar.com/product/wordpress-event-tickets-plus/
    4. Community Events: https://theeventscalendar.com/product/wordpress-community-events/
    5. Community Tickets: https://theeventscalendar.com/product/community-tickets/

    As it turns out, we offer a bundle for that purpose: https://theeventscalendar.com/bundles/

    Let me know if that helps.

    Have a great day!

    Bonsoir Marc et merci de nous écrire,

    Nous sommes désolés d’apprendre que votre calendrier ne fonctionne pas comme il le devrait.
    C’est avec plaisir que je vous aiderai à trouver ce qui cloche.

    Tout d’abord, j’aimerais vous proposer d’effectuer quelques tests:

    1. Depuis Évènements > Préférences > Affichage, essayer quelques réglages différents pour Modèle d’évènements, afin de voir si cela change quoi que ce soit.
    2. Toujours depuis cet écran, veuillez vérifier que les différentes vues (particulièrement la vue “liste” est bien cochée
    3. Cliquer sur Sauvegarder les modifications

    Si cela ne fonctionne pas, pourriez-vous:

    1. Temporairement passer à un thème WordPress par défaut (tel twenty-sixteen) pour voir si le souci persiste
    2. Nous partager vos informations système tel que décrit ici: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/sharing-sys-info/

    Salutations,
    Geoff B.

    Good evening Christoph and welcome back!

    Thank you for reaching out to us.
    I would love to help you with this topic.

    There are a couple of ways to tackle this:

    1. You could hardcode what you are looking for by creating custom view template overrides. You might want to read our Themer’s guide to get a sense of how that works.
    2. You could use the ideas presented here: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/altering-or-removing-titles-on-calendar-views/

    Let me know if that helps.

    Have a great day!

    Good evening Martin and welcome to the Events Calendar forum!

    Thank you for your interest in our products.
    We’ll be glad to answer your questions.

    I would like to know if it is possible to select between online tickets and hardtickets in the shop. In case some of my customers wants to have the hardtickets – they could be sent via mail from one of my coworkers.

    The answer is yes.
    Depending on your exact needs, you might have to experiment a bit to get things just right.

    Off the top of my head I would probably recommend the following:

    1. For each events, create 2 ticket types (online ticket, hard ticket)
    2. Using a custom snippet send all hardticket types to a specific email address
    3. To make this more elegant, you might want to use the following extension for printing https://theeventscalendar.com/extensions/pdf-tickets/

    As an alternative, you could simply control what is sent or by only sending tickets when the order status is set to “complete”. That would allow for full manual control of each order.

    Let me know if that helps.

    Have a great day!

    Good evening Alex and welcome back!

    Thank you for reaching out to us.
    I would love to help you with this topic.

    The most efficient way to control what elements appear would be to do a custom view template override of the single event view. You might want to read our Themer’s guide to get a sense of how that works.

    With that in mind, CSS can get you pretty far for that type of changes.

    In order to gain full power on your site’s look and feel, I would highly recommend reading the following articles:

    Try adding the following CSS rules to your style.css file or in your Custom CSS metabox:

    I would like to remove the previous and next events both top and bottom

    .single-tribe_events #tribe-events-footer .tribe-events-sub-nav, .single-tribe_events #tribe-events-header .tribe-events-sub-nav {display: none !important}

    How do I align the image to the left rather than the centre?

    It looks like you already took care of this.

    I would like to add the year to the date both in the article and on the details

    You can:

    1. Tweak the single view file with the help of the themer’s guide
    2. Cheat by heading over to Events -> Settings -> Display and including the year in every possible date format

    The font size of the details needs to be larger

    .single-tribe_events .tribe-events-event-meta {
    font-size: 17px !important;
    }

    and is it possible to have the details block ion the right of the page aside of the event details, rather than underneath – it makes it easier to read.

    Yes, but that will definitely require adding divs and moving code around. In other words, you will need to work on a custom view template override.

    Have a great day!

    Geoff B.
