Good evening Palma and welcome to the Events Calendar Support forum!

Thank you for reaching out to us.
I would love to help you with this topic.

This sounds more like a permission issue than a theme conflict.
If am not mistaking this actually coming from a local installation of WordPress (as opposed to the live website). Can you confirm ?

Could you please send me a copy of the latest version of your WordPress theme / child theme via a link to a .zip file link (stored Dropbox or Google Drive) so that I can run some tests on my end ? I recommend a private reply for that purpose.

Please ensure you are using the latest files as found on your actual website.
This way I will get access to any updates or customizations you might have made.

Secondly, the “easy solution” would be to simply delete the contents of C:\Inetpub\vhosts\tripierge.com\vegas.tripierge.com/wp-content/languages/plugins/ (after a backup).

That should get rid of that message.

Let me know how that goes.

    Best regards,
    Geoff B.

Downgrading is a great temporary solution.

I recommend reading the following: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/downgrading-plugin-past-version/

Good evening Anna and welcome back!

Thank you for reaching out to us.
I would love to help you with this topic.

The reason why this is not working as expected is because the limit argument only works for widget shortcodes, not for the full view shortcodes:

    1. https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/pro-widget-shortcodes/
    2. https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/embedding-calendar-views-tribe_events-shortcode/

    Therefore [tribe_events view=”photo” limit=”3″] will not work, but [tribe_events_list limit=”10″]
    will.

A lot of people simply use the list widget with thumbnails to “emulate” the photo view for such needs.

Let me know if that helps.

    Have a great day!

Good evening Timothy and welcome back!

Although it may seem simple on the surface, tweaking with the way URLs are written (in the context of our calendar plugins) is no picnic.

But, I believe you have the right idea.
And as such, you have a couple of ways to do this:

    1. Create a customized page template. You can read about that here: https://theeventscalendar.com/customizations/

If coding is not really your cup of tea, you could always hire one of our recommended customizers to do the customization for you.

    2. You could apply the following snippet in the functions.php file of your theme (without the PHP tag at the top): https://gist.github.com/barryhughes/eef63b959317d96ba4de28bebfd4d3e0#file-custom-all-recurring-events-slug-php

That will let you change “all” for another word. E.g.: https://www.catelliduo.com/event/happy-hour/list-of-events/ or https://www.catelliduo.com/event/happy-hour/schedule/ instead of https://www.catelliduo.com/event/happy-hour/all/

That would make for a prettier URL to send for the marketing campaigns.

    3. Try embedding that URL in a WordPress page of your choice. This can be done using plugins such as https://wordpress.org/plugins/insert-pages/

Let me know if that helps.

    Have a great day!

Good evening Anthony and welcome back!

Thank you for reaching out to us.
I would love to help you with this topic.

You can remove or hide the start and end time section in one of two ways:

    1. Using CSS to hide it.
    2. Creating a custom view file. You might want to read our Themer’s guide to get a sense of how that works.

You could apply the following snippet in the functions.php file of your theme (without the PHP tag at the top): https://gist.github.com/GeoffEW/464e290d85cc8de6d111bbd739c5e82e

Let me know how that goes.

Good evening Brendan and welcome to the Events Calendar forum!

Thank you for your interest in our products.
We’ll be glad to answer your questions.

I’m looking to purchase event aggregator and i’ve built a CSV generation script around that goal, but i’ve got an issue.

Actually, there is no need to get the Events Aggregator if your need is solely to import CSV. This functionality is free and built-in into the Events Calendar. Head over to Events -> Imports

My client has shows with multiple times – i’d like all the times to show up on the calendar but i would *not* like each one to appear as a separate event.

Would you mind clarifying what you mean by not appearing as separate events ?

Just showing the next one ? Using recurring events ?
I do understand that you do not want to be re-entering the information manually for each event, but I am having issues envisioning how that would work display-wise.

One thing you could do is to is import only one event and then manually adding recurrence rules using the recurring events feature of the Events Calendar Pro: https://theeventscalendar.com/product/wordpress-events-calendar-pro/

This would not impact the display side of things, but it would make things easier as far as the events entry.

Sadly, CSV does not let you import recurrence rules however.

    Best regards,

    Geoff B.

Good morning Kristiina and welcome to the Events Calendar Support forum!

Thank you for reaching out to us.
I would love to help you with this topic.

After one year, when your licenses expires, the plugins will still work if you do not choose to renew.

But, you will need to “freeze” your the Events Calendar related plugins to their current version (all of them) to ensure they continue working properly.

You will also lose premium support access

Let me know if that helps.

Good morning and welcome to the Events Calendar Support forum!

Thank you for reaching out to us and for your great words.
I would love to help you with this topic.

Yes, the Events Calendar and the Events Calendar Pro support WPML: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/wpml-support/

We are working on making all of our products WPML compatible as part of our roadmap.
Alas, I do not have specific dates to offer for now.

This means that Community Event is not yet officially compatible with our plugins.
The good news however is that a lot of our WPML users have managed to get it working for them using a bit of custom code. You can read about this here: https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/automatically-duplicating-added-event-calandar-items-on-publish-with-wpml/

    Good evening Johan,

You are absolutely right. The RSS is there for our customers to use for all sorts of interesting applications.

You are also right that the default WordPress RSS widget sorts by post date as opposed to using something like the event date. This is because of the very nature of what RSS feeds are typically used for: blog posts.

In that context, it makes sense to use reverse post date. So in short, the RSS widget was meant with that very specific and limited goal in mind.

However, I do not believe this impairs the usefulness of the feed for what you want to do.
    It simply means that:

    1. You might want to tweak the built-in RSS widgets behaviour via a code snippet (at least add a conditional so that our RSS events feed is sorted differently by it)
    2. Use a better plugin that offers more control over the sorting (filtering) of the items coming from the feed. Unfortunately, I do not have a specific plugin to recommend for you.

Just to set expectations, the scope of our support is mostly to get our customers started on the right track and to help them in case of issues.

We unfortunately do not provide complete support for customization.

With that in mind, here are a couple of articles to get you started on using a snippet to control the order by sequence:

Good evening Mark and welcome back!

Thank you for reaching out to us.

We are sorry to hear how you feel about the use of public forums in the context of billing and account questions. I would love to help you with this topic.

First off, this is a very valid point. In fact, I will bring this very topic up during our next team meeting.

With that in mind, I do not believe the goal was to force this as much as this being a simple oversight or extension of how all requests are handled for the time being.

Additionally, you can “cheat” by creating an opening statement and using private replies for all following communications.

I realize it is not a great solution, but it can serve as a workaround in the meantime should you have more sensitive questions in the future.

However after renewing your changed our expiration date to Jul 28th, 2018. I really hope this is a system glitch and you are not screwing over customers by not simply adding on another year to the existing date but by removing however many days they renew before their subscription expires.

You are absolutely right. This is a system glitch.

Thank you for bringing this to our attention.
I have not only fixed this on your account, but:

    1. Extended your license a couple of extra months as a token of our appreciation
    2. Opened a ticket so that glitch can be looked into

Let me know if that helps.

    Have a great day!

    Good evening Brian,

I am glad that helped out.

Without a screenshot I am not 100% sure which bar you are referring to (since the code varies between views).

In any case, if I am guessing correctly, you can handle that with CSS.

Try adding the following CSS rule to your style.css file or in your Custom CSS metabox:

    #tribe-events-footer .tribe-events-sub-nav, #tribe-events-header .tribe-events-sub-nav {display: none !important}

    Best regards,

Good evening Jack and welcome to the Events Calendar forum!

Thank you for your interest in our products.
We’ll be glad to answer your questions.

If we then go into the different events in the series can we then edit their details and location and still keep them in the series? I hope this makes sense!

By default, all recurring events share details and location.

You can still edit those on a per event basis.
However, doing so will “break the event” from the series.

In other words, it will still show the information correctly, but it will no be a standalone event (no longer part of the series).

Let me know if that helps.

    Have a great day!
