    Hi David,

    Welcome back to the forums!

Great question. The easiest way would be to use the Event List widget that comes with Events Calendar PRO because it allows you to display events and filter them by category.

Otherwise, it’s going to take some custom development to accomplish. If you go that route, I would suggest checking out our post on using the tribe_get_events function.

I also have this example of using tribe_get_events to fetch events by a specific category:

I hope this helps get the ball rolling!

Hey there and welcome to the forums!

That’s a really nice design for filters — excellent work!

When you refer to the “main filter bar” are you referring to ur Filter Bar add-on? If so, you can absolutely use the additional fields you create in Events Calendar PRO (Events > Settings > Additional Fields) in the Filter Bar settings (Events > Settings > Filters).

Also is there a documented way to search on blur/release/keyup/click, etc?

No, I’m afraid there is not. While I don’t have any examples offhand, I’d imagine that can be accomplished with Javascript that targets the filter components and fires on any of this triggered actions.

    Cheers!

    Hi Facund,

Oh no, so sorry to hear that Event Tickets Plus isn’t fully compatible with other components of your site! I totally understand though and am happy to help refund you order.

I’ve gone ahead and issued a refund for your orders and the funds should be back in your account within 5-10 business days.

Thanks so much for giving Event Tickets Plus a try and I hope you’ll keep us in mind for future projects down the road.

Cheers and best of luck with your site!

    Hi Simeon,

Thanks for getting in touch and for using The Events Calendar! I hope you’ve been enjoying it so far. 🙂

I do think it’s possible to have a different or unique sidebar for each event post, though it’s not a feature that is directly supported by The Events Calendar. Rather, it would take custom development to make it happen.

While I don’t have a working example of that, I was able to find this post that might be of help. It’s a little dated, but the example looks like a solid path for creating different sidebars on a per-post basis.

Sorry I don’t have a concrete solution for you, but I do hope this at least helps get you started in the right direction.

    Cheers!

    Hey Marco,

    Thanks for getting in touch!

Yes, you can actually add the VAT number retroactive of the order. Once you’ve made the purchase, log into your account, then following the instructions outlined here to add a VAT to your profile, then download the invoice:

Does this help answer your question? Please let me know. 🙂

    Hi Hi,

I really appreciate your patience with me on this!

An iCal feed that is located at [your-site]/events/ical

Does this option work with the following option in The Event Aggregator:

Yes, you can use that URL to import events to another calendar.

Basically what I want to rule out is whether we can have The Event’s Calendar as a valid source to import events into another Event’s calendar.

Yes, you can indeed use The Events Calendar as a valid source to import events into another calendar. For example, you can use that URL above to import events into Google Calendar. You do not need Event Aggregator or any other of our paid add-ons for that capability. It is built into our free The Events Calendar plugin.

    I sure hope this helps!

    Cheers,
    Geoff

    Hey Megan,

Thanks for checking out our plugins!

I’m sad to say that, as of right now, the recurring events feature in Events Calendar PRO is incompatible with the ticketing feature of Event Tickets Plus. You are indeed correct that you theoretically would need both of those extensions in order to sell tickets for recurring classes, but they unfortunately do not working together.

That said, we are working on this and plan to have that in an upcoming release, though it’s possible several months down the road. Until then, you would need to set up each class individually and create tickets in each instance.

If you choose to go that route, you can do that with the following:

Sorry for the bad news, but does this at least help answer your question? Please let me know. 🙂

Hey there — thanks for getting in touch!

Great question. Event Tickets Plus does not actually handle the selling of tickets, but the creation of them. The ecommerce plugin you use is what will handle the sales, inventory and control of sales.

Event Tickets Plus integrates with the following ecommerce plugins:

    • WooCommerce
    • Easy Digital Downloads
    • WP eCommerce
    • Shopp

Once a ticket is in a cart, it depends on whether the ecommerce plugin either holds that ticket in the available quantity or reserves it for the person who has it in the cart. My understand, at least with WooCommerce, is that the ticket will be held for the person who has it in the cart, even before it has actually been purchased.

That said, you could do an initial run of tickets then, before a surge, create another run of tickets to accommodate for a period of potential increased sales.

    Cheers!

    Hi James,

Sorry for the confusion — I must be missing the heart of what you’re asking.

Event Aggregator is designed to import events into The Events Calendar. You can set it up to import events from any number of sites, feeds or sources on a scheduled basis. The following are valid sources for importing events:

    • Facebook
    • Google Calendar
    • Meetup.com
    • iCalendar feeds
    • CSV files
    • ICS files

So, for example, if you have a “master” calendar and are using Google Calendar to power it, then you can certainly import events from that calendar into The Events Calendar using Event Aggregator.

My sincere apologies if this is not directly answer your question. Hopefully it is, but please let me know if it is not and I’d be happy to either take another crack or bring in someone else who might be able to provide a better answer than I have so far.

    Cheers!

    Hi Evan,

    Thanks for following up!

If you are wanting to embed a Google Calendar within an event on The Events Calendar, then there is no need for Events Calendar PRO. You should be able to embed any type of media into an even post, including a Google Calendar.

I hope that helps answer your question! Let me know if that makes sense or if I perhaps didn’t understand the questions and I’d be happy to help. 🙂

    Cheers!
