near-simultaneous sale of last-remaining ticket?

Hi, I’m wondering if you have an e-commerce integration with Tickets Plus that guards against overselling inventory on near simultaneous sales. Our current solution will allow two patrons to each purchase the last-remaining ticket if it was still available when they each began the purchase flow.
To address this, we hold back a bit of inventory for fast-moving tickets, for example following an email blast when we might have a surge. By holding back, we can accommodate oversold situations, but obviously we would prefer proper inventory controls instead.

Great question. Event Tickets Plus does not actually handle the selling of tickets, but the creation of them. The ecommerce plugin you use is what will handle the sales, inventory and control of sales.

Event Tickets Plus integrates with the following ecommerce plugins:

• WooCommerce
• Easy Digital Downloads
• WP eCommerce
• Shopp

Once a ticket is in a cart, it depends on whether the ecommerce plugin either holds that ticket in the available quantity or reserves it for the person who has it in the cart. My understand, at least with WooCommerce, is that the ticket will be held for the person who has it in the cart, even before it has actually been purchased.

That said, you could do an initial run of tickets then, before a surge, create another run of tickets to accommodate for a period of potential increased sales.
