    Hey there, @cyrilsack!

Hmm, that’s pretty odd. The override seems to work when I try it out on my test site.

Here’s the full code for the single-event.php file I used in my test:

    https://gist.github.com/geoffgraham/7a82b0d75b7edbaae410083a76dc2446

Try copying and pasting that into your template and making sure that the template is located in the correct folder: [your-theme]/tribe-events/single-event.php

That code should add the name of the event organizer below the title of the event when viewing the event post. Here’s a screenshot of how that looks on my test site.

Hopefully that does the trick. 🙂

    Cheers!

    Hi @cyrilsack,

    Thanks for getting in touch!

The code you provided looks good. What I did notice, however, is that the template you are overriding should be here:

    [your-theme]/tribe-events/single-event.php

    …instead of:

    [your-theme]/events-calendar/single-event.php

The Events Calendar is always looking for a folder called “tribe-events” in the active theme and knows to use the templates in that folder before the ones included in the plugin by default.

    Cheers!

    Hi Michelle,

    Thanks for getting in touch!

Try pasting this snippet on the Appearance > Customize > Additional CSS screen:

    .events-archive #tribe-events .tribe-events-button, .tribe-events-button {
      display: none;
    }

This seemed to do the trick when I tested it on your site. Does it work for you as well? Please let me know.

    Cheers!

    Hi Vanessa,

Well shoot, I’m certainly bummed to hear that our plugins will not work out for you here, but I am glad you gave it a shot and am absolutely happy to help you with a refund.

I’ve gone ahead and issued a refund for your orders and the funds should be back in your account within 5-10 business days.

Thanks again for giving our plugins a try — definitely keep us in mind for future projects and best of luck with this one. 🙂

    Cheers,
    Geoff

    Hi Anne,

I am truly sorry that my attempts to support you here have led to disappointment. We try to make our plugins as flexible and customizable as possible, but there will inevitably be cases where the level of work required to customize the plugins will require significant development rather than support and thus is certainly on of those cases.

I do want to note that we have a list of people who we would happily recommend for further custom development work, if you are interested:

A question on the edge: Do you know if there is a German-speaking forum somewhere?

We do not have a German forum here on our site, though there are a couple of us on the team that have some fluency in it. Next time you post a thread, we’d be happy to try to communicate with you in German, but might have to go back to English depending on how it goes.

I’ll go ahead and close this thread but let us know if any other questions come up and we’d be happy to help. 🙂

    Cheers!

    Hi Megan,

Happy Monday — I hope you had a great weekend. 🙂

Eventbrite Tickets will import an event that you create on Eventbrite.com as an event in The Events Calendar, including the tickets created for that event. I’m afraid that splitting the event into multiples on import is not supported.

    Cheers,
    Geoff

Awesome, thanks Titus! We’ll certainly keep you posted via the feature request should it become part of our roadmap.

I’ll go ahead and close this thread but let us know if any other questions come up and we’d be happy to help. 🙂

    Hi Kyle,

    Thanks for getting in touch!

Great question, though I’m afraid that we only accept online credit card and PayPal purchases for our products through this site.

Sorry for the bad news, but does this help answer your question? Please let me know.

    Thanks,
    Geoff

    Hi Tina,

Phew, glad to hear all is working well! Thanks for following up to let us know.

It could have been a server issue but, then again, this is the only report we’ve seen so it’s hard to tell for sure. Either way, you did the right thing by reaching out to us here in the forums. Another tip is to check the Events > Help screen and make sure the Event Aggregator diagnostics show that the service is connected. If it’s not, it will tell you and give you a good indication of whether the issue is with our server.

I’ll go ahead and close this thread since I see you’ve marked it Resolved, but definitely let us know if you see something like this pop up again and we’d be happy to look into it with you.

Cheers and have a great day!

    Hi Tyler,

Sorry, but I don’t have the capability to text you with the information. Do you happen to be on Twitter? If so, let me know your handle and we can DM it over to you.

    Thanks!

    Hi Megan,

    Thanks for following up!

I’m afraid that a ticket is tied to a specific event — so, unfortunately, linking to a ticket would not be a possible option, at least with our plugins.

One other option is to use our plugins for calendaring, then using a ticketing service like Eventbrite for the ticket creation and management. In fact, we do have a plugin that will integrate The Events Calendar with Eventbrite for that purpose.

    Cheers,
    Geoff

    Howdy @ohsusannah,

I’d be happy to help you here. I do want to note that we are fairly limited in how much we can support custom work like this, but I’m absolutely happy to dig into this and at least point you in the right direction.

Would you be willing to send me a screenshot of what you’re trying to fix? I was looking at the site and it appears that the event titles look nice in the mobile view. Here’s a screenshot of what I see. Are you seeing something different or are you perhaps looking at something else?

    Thanks so much!
    Geoff
