Hello Daniel! Thanks for reaching out.

Good question. The iCal feed utilizes the default WordPress RSS functionality, which means it pulls from the settings established there as far as how many events are contained in the feed.

I’m afraid that what you’re looking for will take a fair amount of custom development. You can try using this snippet in your theme’s functions.php file to increase that number. The number used in this example is 75, but you can change that to be anything.

Does this help answer your question? Please let me know. 🙂

Hi there, Simon! Thanks for getting in touch and sorry you’re having some trouble with tickets being emailed out. Let’s see if we can figure this one out here together. 🙂

I tried replicating the issue myself and everything seemed to work. I created a new event, made a ticket for that event, then purchased the ticket as a guest. On the merchant side, I received an email notification that an order was made. Then, I set the order to Completed in WooCommerce.

On the customer side, I received three emails: one for the order notification, one for order completion and another for the ticket.

Is it possible that the customer who is reporting the issue is receiving the ticket in spam? Or is this widely reported and you were able to verify it yourself?

Another possibility is that there may be a conflict at play. Does the problem still occur if you disable all other plugins (except The Events Calendar, WooCommerce Tickets and WooCommerce) and while using a default WordPress theme (like Twenty Fourteen)? Please give the steps outlined here a try and let me know what you find.

Let’s start there and see where that takes us before we move any further. 🙂

    Cheers!

Hi there, Peter! Thanks for getting in touch and sorry you’re hitting some trouble with tickets displaying for your events.

I just checked out the site (thanks for the link!) and it looks like the ticket box is showing at the bottom of the event, below the map (screenshot). Did you happen to solve the issue or perhaps I’m simply looking in the wrong place? Either way, please let me know and I’d be happy to take a look. 🙂

If you did solve the issue, it would be great if you shared how you did it so Torsten can give it a shot as well. In the meantime, Torsten, you’re welcome to follow along, but I would recommend opening a new thread if you need direct help.

    Cheers!

Hi there, Daniel! Thanks for getting in touch and sorry you’re hitting some trouble here.

It’s really best if you could open a new thread for this one–this thread is a little dated and the cause may be unrelated, though similar, to what you’re experiencing. Opening a new thread will allow us to start with a clean slate. 🙂

Yes, please go ahead and try the provided snippet by pasting it into your theme’s functions.php file. If it works, then that great!

If not, then let’s start a new thread and, before you do, please try the steps outlined in our Testing for Conflicts Guide so we have a good baseline to start with.

    Cheers!

Got it, excellent! Just a heads up that I’m about to head out for the day and most of the support team is out tomorrow for New Year’s Day. I’ll chew on this in the meantime and get back to you. Thanks!

Shoot, I still haven;t received the private reply. Would you mind trying again? Or, you can post them as a regular reply and I’ll edit the post to remove any sensitive information.

Interesting that Windows/IIS hosting was offered to everyone for WordPress–just haven’t seen that much before. Thanks for letting me know!

Hi there, Justin! Thanks for getting in touch and sorry you’re hitting some trouble here with the dates and times displaying.

I just checked out your site (nice job, by the way!) and it appears the dates and times are displaying properly on the calendar and events pages (screenshot). Did you happen to solve the issue or perhaps you can send me a link or screenshot to a specific event where you’re seeing the issue so we can look further?

Please let me know and we’ll take it from there. 🙂

    Cheers!

Hi there, Cindy! Thanks for reaching out and sorry you’re hitting some trouble here.

May I ask what you are using for the “Events by Category” widget? That doesn’t appear to be one of the widgets included with The Events Calendar or The Events Calendar PRO. Is it possible you are using a third party or custom plugin for it?

Please let me know and we’ll take it from there. 🙂

    Cheers!

Thanks for sending the hosting info and 404 screenshot!

Hmm, this is a tricky one indeed. The thing that stands out to me is the PRO file name in the 404 URL you provided earlier. Notice how it’s events-calendar-pro%2Fevents-calendar-pro.php in the URL, but it should be events-calendar-pro/events-calendar-pro.php. It’s possible that extra slash is confusing the Windows/IIS hosting environment, or there is an issue with the site’s rewrite rules.

One more thing you could do to give me more information is head over to Events > Settings > Help > System and provide me the output from that. You can provide that as a private reply, if you’d like.

And, please forgive me for repeating myself, but you’re positive that the activation issue only occurs with The Events Calendar PRO and not any other plugins, correct? I just want to make sure that the issue is unique since I haven’t been able to replicate it myself.

Also, as a side note, it’s interesting to see you’re using a Windows hosting package–we don’t see that very often. Do you mind if I ask if you chose that for a reason instead of a Linux package?

    Thanks again!

Hi there, Jon! Thanks for getting in touch–nice dev site, by the way. Looking great. 🙂

I just checked out the dev site and it appears the events are in order on the homepage, as well as /events (in Photo, Map and Month views). It even looks like the events that start in February are all prior to the events in March. Were you able to sort the issue out, or perhaps you can send me a link to one of the events in question and we’ll take another look?

Please let me know and we’ll take it from there.

    Cheers!

Hi there, Mark! Thanks for reaching out and sorry you’re bumping into an issue with the widget stylesheets loading.

This is definitely an issue on our end. We recently released an update where the Mini Calendar and Events List widgets share the same stylesheet–however, it sometimes fails to load when the Event List widget is activated on its own.

There is a fix for this on the way, planned for the first week of January. Sorry again that you’re hitting this issue–I’ve noted this thread and we will try to follow up with you directly here when it’s released. In the meantime, please keep your eyes open for the release.

    Thanks!

Hi there, Christiine! Thanks for reaching out and I’m sorry you’re bumping into this issue.

It’s definitely a bug on our end and we’re working to fix it. There’s a ticket in our system to have it cleaned up in the next release, which is coming the first week of January.

Sorry again for the trouble–I’ve noted this thread so we can try to follow up with you directly here when it’s released. In the meantime, please keep your eyes open for the release.

    You’re welcome, Trevor!

I wish I had a good timeframe I could give you for supporting bundled events support. I believe an overhaul of our entire tickets framework is coming sometime in the first half of 2015, but that’s more of a personal speculation than an actual timeframe.

And, yes, you can definitely change “Events” to something else like “Workshops” throughout with some custom development. In fact, we have a tutorial for that you might enjoy. 🙂

Let me know if this helps answer your questions.

    Cheers!
    Geoff
