    Hello,

Our visitors are asking for a .ics URL for the full calendar (or live calendar).
How can I find that feature? I was only able to find monthly and list views export button.

Hello Daniel! Thanks for reaching out.

Good question. The iCal feed utilizes the default WordPress RSS functionality, which means it pulls from the settings established there as far as how many events are contained in the feed.

I’m afraid that what you’re looking for will take a fair amount of custom development. You can try using this snippet in your theme’s functions.php file to increase that number. The number used in this example is 75, but you can change that to be anything.

Does this help answer your question? Please let me know. 🙂

    Cheers!

    Hi Geoff,

Does that mean that the Events Calendar plugin doesn’t provide a live/full calendar listing .ics link because who generates that is WordPress RSS?

It would be like sharing a Google Calendar with someone. When you change or add new events it would update that person’s calendar as well. This is not existent on the plugin?

I’m not sure if I will use the workaround provided since it will not really cover everything and I believe if we update the calendar it will not reflect the changes for the user in a live manner, but thank you for providing that!

That’s correct–the plugin does not currently support dynamic feeds. That means events updated on your site would not automatically carry over to the user’s calendar if they have imported it with iCal.

It looks like a similar request for this feature has come up on our UserVoice page. I’d suggest adding your vote if you’d like it to be considered in a future release.

Sorry I don’t have a concrete solution for you here, but hopefully this helps clarify things a bit.

    Cheers!

My pleasure! I’ll go ahead and close this thread, but please feel free to open a new one if anything else pops up–we’d be happy to help. 🙂

    Cheers,
