That’s correct–the plugin does not currently support dynamic feeds. That means events updated on your site would not automatically carry over to the user’s calendar if they have imported it with iCal.

It looks like a similar request for this feature has come up on our UserVoice page. I’d suggest adding your vote if you’d like it to be considered in a future release.

Sorry I don’t have a concrete solution for you here, but hopefully this helps clarify things a bit.

    Cheers!

    Hi Leymarie–thanks for following up!

That’s certainly odd! The only time I’ve come across performance issues in the WordPress dashboard is when the site is working with an extremely large number (thousands) of events–is that the case with you as well, or do you not have that many published events?

Are you in Debug Mode when you experience the slowness? If so, definitely disable that since it will run additional processes that aren’t needed.

Another possibility is if you are using a caching plugin that needs to either be refreshed or reset.

It’s also likely that your server is bogged down and the memory needs to be increased to handle the workload.

In other words, there isn’t any one root cause I’m able to pin down because it could be due to other external factors. The fact that I’m unable to replicate this and that we haven’t seen any similar reports come in suggests that it may be server-related–that’s likely where I would suggest starting.

    Cheers!

Hi there, Bennie! Sorry for the trouble–we recently updated our site and must have missed that link.

    Here’s the correct one:

Please let me know if this is the link you’re looking for.

Hi there, Paul! Thanks for reaching out and I’m sorry you’re bumping into this issue.

It’s definitely a bug on our end and we’re working to fix it. There’s a ticket in our system to have it cleaned up in the next release, which is coming up next week.

In the meantime, you can try out the suggestion in this thread to hide the incorrect cost from displaying using CSS.

Sorry again for the trouble–I’ve noted this thread so we can try to follow up with you directly here when it’s released. Until then, please keep your eyes open for the release.

    Cheers,
    Geoff

Hi there, Leymarie! Thanks for getting in touch and sorry you’re hitting some trouble with the speed of the back end of your site.

If I’m understanding correctly, it sounds like you’re having an issue with the speed of your entire admin interface since updating to WordPress 4.1–is that correct?

If so, it sounds like an issue that in unrelated to The Events Calendar or the WooTickets add-on. Instead, that might be something related to your hosting account that may need to be addressed there.

Please let me know and we’ll take it from there. 🙂

    Cheers!

Hi Simon, thanks for following up!

Yes, the email issue can definitely pop up when the server doesn’t want to send emails to itself. That’s actually a pretty common thing, though you can use a third party plugin (not tested) to address that.

However, the customer gets an order # and ticket # that off by 1. So order 5678 and ticket 5679. Is that a known issue or an issue at all?

That’s expected behavior, though I know that seems confusing. Order numbers and ticket numbers are really just underlying Post IDs, so they are unique and may be the same, one off, or completely off from each other.

Also, do you no longer send out a .pdf version of the ticket? It seems like just a printable email. Am I mistaken?

You’re correct, it is a printable email and there is no PDF attachment. We phased PDFs out some time ago in favor for more printable emails instead.

Finally, since I have you here, how can I edit the ticket email or let them know to print it and bring it with them…

Good question! You can override the ticket template like other calendar templates. You can find these steps in our Themer’s Guide. In general, you will:

    • Make a copy of the email.php file (located in /plugins/the-events-calendar/view/tickets/email.php)
    • Create a new folder in your theme directory called tribe-events
    • Create a new folder in there called tickets
    • Place your copied file in the tickets folder

Once the file is in your theme directory, you can modify it to suit your needs.

Does this help answer your questions? Please let me know. 🙂

    Cheers!

Hi there, Paul! Thanks for reaching out and sorry you’re having some issues with the Filter Bar menu display.

It sounds like there might be styling conflict with your theme. Are you able to send a link where I can see the issue and take a look rom there?

    Cheers!

in reply to: Cannot activate 3.9 Events Calendar Pro #927819

Alright, I’m back–thanks for your patience and happy new year!

I do see a couple of plugins listed in the system information that I know we’ve had conflicts with in the past, though I haven’t seen this specific conflict come up before…so that’s definitely strange.

The next thing I would like to try here is creating a fresh test site–this will avoid any disruption to your live site and ensure that we effectively have a “clean canvas” to work with.

    • Please install a fresh copy of WordPress in a subdirectory
    • Don’t install anything except the latest versions of The Events Calendar and Events Calendar PRO–and make sure to not activate them yet!
    • Please also stick to a default theme, like Twenty Fourteen–again, there’s no need to install (or activate) anything else just yet

Then, with your permission, I’d like to log into that site and troubleshoot from there.

I also have a feeling that this is hosting related, but let’s start with the test site first and see what we can find.

Thanks for your help and cooperation!

    Geoff
