MemberHi there, Stephen! Welcome to the forums and sorry you’re bumping into these issues. I can definitely help you out though.
First off, let’s deal with the cart page. We will be releasing a fix for this hopefully by the end of the day, but in the meantime you can use this snippet in your theme’s functions.php file to resolve it.

As far the quantity controls go, those actually aren’t special characters, but the number of tickets being obscured by the quantity controls, which are hidden until hovered. You can see this by adding the following to your theme’s style.css file:
.woocommerce .quantity .qty { width: 5em; }We noticed the same issue of the quantity controls not being displayed when we updated WooCommerce from version 2.3.1 to 2.3.2. Our WooTickets plugin inherits the styles used by WooCommerce to display those controls, so something changed in version 2.3.2. You can actually see that this affects all products in WooCommerce in addition to tickets.
The good news is that this seems to be isolated only to Chrome. In fact, WooCommerce isn’t technically doing anything wrong since Chrome hides those controls by default until you hover on them. However, WooCommerce did have custom styling for those controls in version 2.3.1 and those have changed in 2.3.2. You can revert back t0 2.3.1 if you want the controls to appear as they did before, or contact the WooCommerce forum for more support.
Sorry I don’t have a concrete solution for the controls, but I hope this help shed light on the issue and helps solve the cart issue as well. 🙂
Cheers!

MemberNice work! I’m glad that helps, but hope that a more permanent patch comes. For the record, it’s nothing that WooCommerce is doing wrong since that is how Chrome handles numeric inputs by default–however, something did change between 2.3.1 and 2.3.2 that caused the difference, so that’s where things are at.
Thanks for following up! I’ll go ahead and close this thread but please feel free to start a new one if any other questions pop up and we’d be happy to help. 🙂
Cheers!

MemberHi there, George! Thanks for getting in touch and sorry you’re hitting some trouble here, but I can help you with this.
First off, let’s deal with the blank cart page. We are working on a hotfix for this that should be released by the end of the day, though in the meantime, you can use this snippet in your theme’s functions.php file to overcome it:
https://gist.github.com/barryhughes/bf5d020a6a8225664c09
In regards to the quantity controls, that’s actually related specifically to a change in WooCommerce. The WooTickets plugin inherits the control styles used by WooCommerce, and they seem to have changed the way they style those in the latest release. We’ve tested this on other non-ticket products and have confirmed the issue there as well, suggesting it is an issue globally with WooCommerce.
The good news here is that the change in quantity controls appears to be isolated to the Chrome browser. In fact, Chrome hides those controls by default, so it’s nothing that WooCommerce is doing wrong–rather that’s how Chrome handles number inputs.
If you want those controls to appear as they did before, you either need to revert to WooCommerce 2.3.1 or contact the WooCommerce forum for more support. Unfortunately, that is something we cannot fix on our end.
Does this help answer your questions? Please let me know. 🙂
Cheers!

MemberHey there, Leymarie! Thanks for getting in touch.
Yeah, we noticed the same thing this morning when we updated to the latest version of WooCommerce ourselves this morning.
Our WooTickets plugin inherits the styling used by WooCommerce. In other words, we don’t force any specific style but rather inherit the styles implemented by WooCommerce. We tested this on other non-ticket products and the issue applies there as well. That means it’s related to change with WooCommerce rather than the WooTickets plugin.
You can try to style the controls yourself using CSS, but your best bet is to let the WooCommerce team know about the change and request that the styling be added back in.
Sorry I don’t have a concrete solution for you here, but I hope this helps shed light on the issue.
Cheers!

MemberHey there, Carl! Thanks for getting in touch and welcome to the forums. By the way, I love how the site is coming along. 🙂
Good question. There isn’t a way to redirect event post URLs to another post type URL right out of the box. However, you may want to check out a plugin like Redirection to handle those, or perhaps something like Posts 2 Posts can help build a relationship between the two post types.
I do want to point out that I haven’t personally tested these options with the calendar and can’t vouch for their effectiveness or compatibility, but think they may be worth checking out to get what you’re looking for.
Does this help answer your question? Please let me know.
Cheers!

MemberHi there, Catherine! Thanks for getting in touch. Sorry you’re hitting some trouble here with events submitted through the Community Events form, but let’s see if we can figure out what’s happening together.
When you log into WordPress and head to the Events tab, do you see the event that was submitted with the rest of your published events? If so, are you able to hover over it and click the “View” link (screenshot) and send me the URL so I have an example to look at?
Let’s start there before we get any deeper with troubleshooting.
Thanks!

It looks like you opened a thread with the same question a couple of hours earlier and that Brian is already helping you out. I’ll go ahead and close this one since it’s a duplicate, but please feel free to open a new thread if any other issues pop up.

MemberHey there and thanks for getting in touch!
Good question. All the published data in the plugin is stored in your WordPress database, so it is as secure as the rest of your site. You can certainly install SSL and everything should be compatible there as well.
As far as payment transactions go, the plugin itself does not handle payments but is compatible with platforms that do.
Does this help answer your question? Please let me know. 🙂

MemberGreat, thanks for following up! Hopefully the update and testing for conflicts will help shed some light on things.
Dropbox might be the easiest way to send the file. Upload the file, then you can send the link in a private reply.
Cheers!

MemberHey Justin, thanks for following up!
The calendar uses the same thumbnail functionality that’s default in WordPress, so you can add a new thumbnail size to your functions.php file, then apply it to the template using the same steps outlined in my last reply.
I hope this helps!

MemberThanks for following up–the additional info is super helpful.
I see exactly what you mean. When I search Real Estate Capital Germany Forum 2015, there are two rich snippet listings for the same event in the search result listing.
I haven’t been able to replicate the same issue in any of my tests. But, if you notice, the information for the second/duplicated event in the listing appears different from the first one (screenshot). That leads me to believe that there is another plugin attempting to do the same work that calendar is already doing and producing an unnecessary extra event.
I would suggest walking through our troubleshooting steps to see if there is a conflict. It will be mighty tough to test the results, though, since Google caches its results. You will likely need to deactivate all other plugins, clear your site’s cache, then wait or request for Google’s cache to clear as well.
Alternately, you can set up a test site in a subdirectory of your server and test with a fresh WordPress install that only has Modern Tribe plugins installed and a default WordPress theme activated. That would allow you to test without any interruption to your existing site.
Also, I see in our system that we have some nice updates coming to rich snippets in the next release. I doubt it will address this specific issue, but I thought you would find that interesting and useful. 🙂
Cheers!
