MemberHi there, Jordan! Thanks for getting in touch.
Yes, the default Events template does not include a widgetized sidebar area right out of the box. However, there are two ways to add one:
- Change the default template. If you head to Events > Settings > Display, you can change the “Events template” option to a page template in your theme that has a sidebar.
- Customize the default template. You can add a sidebar directly to the default event template by overriding the default-template.php file. There more on how template overrides work in our Themer’s Guide, which I’d suggest checking out if you go this route.
Does this help answer your question? Please let me know. 🙂
Cheers!

MemberHi there alonso, thanks for getting in touch!
The start date can be fetched with the tribe_get_start_date() function. I’m honestly unfamiliar with Snap, but hopefully having this function will help guide you on how to make the two work together. 🙂
Cheers!

MemberGood question. Filter Bar does include body classes, but doesn’t inject them when running. In other words, they’re already there independent of AJAX. It does toggle the tribe-filters-open and tribe-filters-closed body classes, but nothing else that I saw when testing.
Do you see any JS conflicts when you view the console? If you have a link you can share, I’d be happy to look at it as well to see if I notice anything off the bat.
Cheers!

MemberHi there, Joyce–thanks for following up!
We’re fairly limited in how much support we can provide for custom development, but if you check out the section “How to Add Views” you can modify that to add categories to your list of calendar views, specifically Line 5 of the example, where the URL can be modified to be the URL of the category you’d like to add to the list.
If you’re looking for something more out of the box, you might be interested in checking out our Filter Bar plugin. It includes an option that allows visitors to filter your calendar by categories.
Cheers!

MemberHello Nicola! Thanks for reaching out and for the kind words–I’ll be sure Barry knows he rocks. 🙂
Good question and–believe it or note–you’re pretty close.
You can do a check for whether a post is an event using the tribe_is_event() function. So, that might look something like this:
<?php if ( tribe_is_event() ) { echo tribe_events_event_schedule_details(); } ?>See, pretty close! Nice work.
Does this help? Please let me know. 🙂
