MemberHello there, Eusebiu! Thanks for getting in touch.
Yes, the main calendar is a post archive rather than a page, as far as WordPress terminology goes. That’s why you wouldn’t necessarily see it in your list of Pages in WordPress.
You can customize the archive by customizing the template of the calendar itself. Here’s more information on how to override and customize the calendar plugin templates in our Themer’s Guide.
Another way to add an image to the template is to do so in the Events > Settings > Display screen. At the very bottom there is an “Advanced Template Settings” section that allows you to add HTML both before and after the event content. This would allow you to add an image to the template without touching the core template files.
Does this make sense? Will this work for you? Please let me know. 🙂

MemberHi there, Lars!
The image uses a class name of .tribe-events-event-thumb, so you can use that to style the size in your theme’s style.css file.
For example:
.tribe-events-event-thumb img { width: 50px; }Cheers!

MemberHi Lars,
Did the link not work or were you unable to write a function based on the example that was provided by the link?
If it’s the former, then here is the link again:
http://pastebin.com/QU2aMwBJIf it’s the latter, then I’m sorry, but we’re unable to provide support for custom development questions like this. The best I can do here is provide you some guidance to get started on your own, which I believe I have done here as well as the previous thread.
Cheers and best of luck!

MemberHowdy there, Lars!
Unfortunately, there is no simple way to do this right out of the box. The intention of the meta box was to display all Categories associated with an event so that’s how it functions.
One possibility you might consider is using a filter to find instances where the text for certain category names occurs and then replace the text with blank instead. Here’s an example snippet that might help get you started in that direction.
Sorry I don’t have more of a concrete solution for you here, but I hope this helps.
Cheers!

MemberHi there, Jen!
Currently, the Events RSS feeds work very similarly to the default WordPress RSS. The only difference is that the Events RSS is organized by the event date rather than the publish date, which is the way that the WordPress RSS is organized.
If you’re interested in featured your latest published events rather than the most recent upcoming events, you might consider adding your events to your site’s main RSS feed. Here’s a tutorial on how to do that.
Sorry I don’t have more of a concrete solution for you here, but I hope this helps!

MemberHello there, Jen! Welcome back to the forums.
You can change your date format settings in the Events > Settings > Display screen. Specifically, the “Month and year format” option is what you’ll want to update.
If you’re new to date formats in WordPress, here’s a nice walkthrough of how they work here:

MemberHowdy Jen–thanks for getting in touch!
The tribe_get_the_excerpt() function is what is used in the template to grab and display the excerpt for the event. It’s just an alias for WordPress’ own get_the_excerpt() function. There’s more information on that in the WordPress Codex and how to change that using the excerpt_length filter.
I hope this helps point you in the right direction!

MemberAwesome, thanks Lars! Sorry again for the issue there but I’m glad you were able to find another suitable language plugin that does the trick. 🙂
Sophie, sorry to hear you’re having an issue as well. Will you please open a new ticket so we can help you there? Even though the issue might appear similar, if it’s not WPML-related, then it’s a different issue than what was originally reported in this thread and we’d like to keep them separate topics to help avoid confusion.
I’ll go ahead and close this thread since Lars was able to confirm his solution.
Cheers!
GeoffMarch 5, 2015 at 6:41 am in reply to: Why doesn't Month View default to List View on mobile? #946140Geoff
MemberSelecting List View as your default does not mean List View will be displayed on small screens when the page you’re currently viewing is Month View.
If you head over to your main calendar (/events), you will see that List View is properly used as your default view and it scales properly for small screens.
The URL you shared with me, however, is Month View. That means it will also be Month View when scaled to small screens. Views stay the same on all screens depending on what the current view is. In this case, you are in a customized version of Month View, so it will continue to be that customized version of Month View on small screens as well.
I hope this helps clarify things a bit!

MemberHi folks, thanks for reaching out!
Yeah, unfortunately, The Events Calendar is not fully compatible with WPML and has known conflicts, including the ability to add and save new tickets.
We’re definitely interested in making our plugin more compatible with WPML and are working with the WPML team to do it, but I’m afraid that there are currently no solutions in the meantime.

MemberHello Josh! Thanks for getting in touch and welcome to the forums. 🙂
Good question. The Facebook Events add-on does not require The Events Calendar PRO in order to work. In other words, Facebook Events will function properly with the core The Events Calendar plugin by itself.
Sorry for the confusion on licensing! Please send us an email to support [at] theeventscalendar.com with your receipt and we’d be happy to help you switch things out.
Cheers!
