I would like my RSS to behave as follows: As I publish new events right now, I would like my RSS to updated live.

so as I hit publish on an event post, I want that to go to the RSS at that moment. The events update the RSS in real time. The idea is that i am highlighting the newest events going in the system.

right now i realize the RSS updates with my events that recur daily. I would prefer to shut that off, and only have events hit the rss as i hit publish.

thanks for your help on this.

    Hi there, Jen!

Currently, the Events RSS feeds work very similarly to the default WordPress RSS. The only difference is that the Events RSS is organized by the event date rather than the publish date, which is the way that the WordPress RSS is organized.

If you’re interested in featured your latest published events rather than the most recent upcoming events, you might consider adding your events to your site’s main RSS feed. Here’s a tutorial on how to do that.

Sorry I don’t have more of a concrete solution for you here, but I hope this helps!

    Cheers,
    Geoff
