    in the main feed of events i would like to have my event description truncated, maybe a … that lets you know there is more but you have to click into the event to get it all.

    how do we adjust how these events show up on the on this list and have it cut off at lets say 100 characters.

    I have my main feed in photo view.

    thank you for any insight into this.

    Howdy Jen–thanks for getting in touch!

    The tribe_get_the_excerpt() function is what is used in the template to grab and display the excerpt for the event. It’s just an alias for WordPress’ own get_the_excerpt() function. There’s more information on that in the WordPress Codex and how to change that using the excerpt_length filter.
