MemberHi northpointe,
First off, nice site! I love the layout of the Events page–awesome work. π
I’m sorry you’re hitting an issue here with performance on the back end while publishing events. That indeed sounds frustrating.
Are there by chance other processes that are running while publishing events? I know it can be a pain to try, but does the speed of publishing events improve when your other installed plugins are deactivated or when a default WordPress theme is activated?
Also, I’m curious how fast a typical single event publishes for you. Does it take a few seconds (as we’d expect it to), or do those push the border as well?
Lastly, what kind of a recurrence are you creating? Perhaps if you share your pattern with me, I can try to replicate it on my own site to see I experience a similar lag.
Let’s start there and see what we find. π
Cheers!

MemberHi there, Janelle! Welcome to the forums. π
I see what you mean and there is only one event in the Highlighted category displayed on the homepage.
It doesn’t appear that the Highlighted feed on your homepage is using one of the widgets that comes packaged withΒ The Events Calendar. Do you happen to know if it was custom created for you, or came packaged with the theme?
I just want to check because it appears that the mini calendar widget at the bottom of the page is working, and that is a supported widget in the calendar.
Let’s start with that and we can figure out how to troubleshoot from there. π
Thanks!

MemberHi there Andrew!Β Thanks for getting in touch and welcome to the forums. I hope you’ve been enjoying the PRO plugin so far. π
Good question. I definitely like how you’ve incorporated the featured image into the Month View grid. I also see how things get muddied up when the tooltip is present.
The basic strategy Iβd recommend here would be the override and customize theΒ month/single-event.php template: you should be able to identify a div element with a class attribute of tribe-events-tooltip β you could simply delete this and the tooltips will no longer be present.
Also, if you’re new to the idea of theming, we have a thorough overview of how it works and how to override calendar templates I’d recommend checking out.
Hope that helps!

MemberHi Matt,
That’s because the text is being styled on a link level:
.tribe-mini-calendar .tribe-events-has-events a { color: #fff; }Cheers!

MemberHi there, David–thanks for giving the server a try on another day and sorry this is still an issue.
Can you confirm that you are running The Events Calendar 3.9.1 with The Events Calendar PRO 3.9.1 and WooCommerce Tickets 3.9.2? I just want to make sure the latest plugins are running.
Do you find that other plugins can be updated through WordPress (ie, not manually) without any difficulties? Do you have a similar license key for any other plugins?
Finally, I know it can be a pain, but is it possible for you to try temporarily deactivating your other plugins and see if one of them is interfering? It’s unlikely, but not impossible. If you need help, we have a handy guide for testing for a theme or plugin conflict.
Thanks for your patience while we work through this. Hopefully we can get to the bottom of things and resolve the issue.
Cheers!

MemberHello there, Matt!
Good question. You should be able change that out by adding this to your stylesheet:
.tribe-mini-calendar td.tribe-events-has-events.tribe-events-present { background-color: #ededed; /* or whatever color */ }Does this help? Please let me know. π
Cheers!

MemberHi Christine–just a quick update that I was able to find a snippet that could help you. This will prodice a shortcode you can use to display attendees in any given page or post.
Please note that this is untested and meant to give you a starting point to work with. You may need to tweak it up a bit to fit your specific needs, but should give you a good head start. π
Cheers!

MemberHi Marc, thanks for following up!
I don’t have code that will specifically address this, but I do have this snippet which might be a good starting place for you. It is a working example of how to remove events-related permissions from specific WP roles. Will this help give you some ground to work with?
Thanks!

MemberHi there, Nicolas! Thanks for getting in touch and welcome to the forum!
Sorry this issue is popping up, but let’s see if we can troubleshoot here together. π
First off, will you please run through these troubleshooting steps? I want to make sure there isn’t a conflict right off the bat with your theme or possibly another installed plugin and these steps will help identify that.
Secondly, I notice you have a landing page at /events-2. Is it possible for you to remove that page and any other pages (besides /events) that might haveΒ event orΒ events in the URL?
I have another hunch that the feed on the homepage is using a custom loop rather than one of our supported widgets. Let’s give the first steps a try, but if they don’t work out, I’ll want to explore this third idea more, which might be better addressed by the theme author.
Cheers!

MemberHello Christine, and welcome to the forums. π
Great question but unfortunately, it’s not currently possible to display an event’s attendee list on the front end in a page or post. If that’s something you would like us to consider and look into, I’d suggest posting the idea to our UserVoice forum, which is where we track new feature requests.
Does this help answer your question? Please let me know.
Cheers!
GeoffP.S. It looks like you may have asked the same question in another thread. I’m going to go ahead and close that one out. π
