    Hi there,

I’m having problems with featured images in my month view. While the site is more visually appealing with the images, adding the images makes it more difficult to access the event page for each date. Without the images, I could click on the event text and get right to the event page. With the images, I have to click on the date number (if I want to access the date on May 28, I have to click “28”) to move forward to my event.

My first question is: Is there a way to make the featured image operable as a link?

If that doesn’t work, is there a way to disable the pop-up that appears when I move my cursor over the image in month view? That pop-up does not link to anything and I think may be blocking my access to the link behind it. Alternatively, is there a way to make that pop-up into a link to my event page?

I’m really open to any solutions. Just fishing for something that might work. Here is a look at our month view, if that helps at all: http://test.scminers.com/calendar/2015-05/

    Thanks,
    Andrew

Hi there Andrew! Thanks for getting in touch and welcome to the forums. I hope you’ve been enjoying the PRO plugin so far. 🙂

Good question. I definitely like how you’ve incorporated the featured image into the Month View grid. I also see how things get muddied up when the tooltip is present.

The basic strategy I’d recommend here would be the override and customize the month/single-event.php template: you should be able to identify a div element with a class attribute of tribe-events-tooltip – you could simply delete this and the tooltips will no longer be present.

Also, if you’re new to the idea of theming, we have a thorough overview of how it works and how to override calendar templates I’d recommend checking out.

    Hope that helps!

Hi Andrew! This thread’s been quiet for the last couple of weeks, so I’m going to go ahead and close it. Please feel free to hit us up with a new thread if any other questions pop up and we’d be happy to help out over there. 🙂

    Cheers!
    Geoff
