Hello Marc! Welcome back to the forums and thanks for the kind words. I’m stoked you’ve been enjoying the plugin. 🙂

Good questions. Let’s tackle them one at a time…

    1) Google Maps: I would like to display Google Maps on other pages too than only on the events page.

There currently is no shortcode or snippet that will help embed Venue maps on other posts and pages right out of the box. However, it might be worth checking out a third-party plugin like this one to help give you an easy shortcode for maps in general.

    2) Location for specific users

Oooh, interesting idea. I like the way you’re thinking here and wish I could say this was possible. It may very well be achievable with a high level of custom development, but I’m afraid the plugin doesn’t offer it right out of the box.

I see in a previous thread that you use a role manager plugin. Is it possible for you to use that to restrict the ability for some roles to create new venues, then set a default venue in Events > Settings > Default Content? I know that won’t dynamically set a venue on a per-user basis, but I imagine it would get you a lot closer to what you’re looking for.

    Cheers!

Hi there, Thierry! Thanks for getting in touch and sorry for the issue here.

I just tried this snippet in my functions.php file and set my default language to French and everything seemed to work. Will it work for you as well?

If not, it’s possible that instead of “events” in the snippet, you will need to explicitly search for the French equivalent.

    Cheers!

Are both sites on the same host, or is the new one on a different one from the old site?

Also, just to rule out any doubts, will you please run try running through these troubleshooting steps on the new site? This will help us see if there’s a conflict with the theme or another plugin that might not be taking place on the old site.

    Thanks!

Thanks for following up, Helen! I’m so glad the code worked, but I’m also glad you found a simpler solution that works as well.

I’ll go ahead and close this thread, but it sounds like we’ll see you again real soon. 🙂

    Cheers!

Hi there, Stefan. Thanks for following up.

Sorry, the part about you being unable to update the plugin must not have come through in your last reply, or perhaps I just missed that point altogether. Either way, my apologies there!

I’ll go ahead and close this thread as requested. I’ll also put out the possibility that there could be a conflict with another plugin or the theme preventing the export from happening. If you’re still in a place to try, you can momentarily deactivate your theme and other plugins and then try exporting events from Tools > Export.

    Cheers!

Hey Jon, thanks for following up and nice work! I do think you’re on to something here with MySQL and size of the query being run on post_meta.

I went ahead and logged a ticket for our team to discuss it further. There’s nothing I can do at the moment, but I know you have other threads and emails going on with others on the team around the same topic, so hopefully this will provide some good traction for a larger conversation on how and where events are stored in the tables.

I’m going to go ahead and close this thread for now, but please feel free to start another if other questions pop up and we’d be happy to help.

    Cheers,
    Geoff

Oh good, I’m glad the tickets are working! Thanks for confirming. 🙂

That notice looks like an error that is coming from WooCommerce–I’d suggest reaching out to the WooCommerce support forum for that one since it doesn’t seem to be triggered by WooTickets plugin itself.

    Cheers!

Shoot, I’m sorry this is still popping up! Thanks for working with me this far. 🙂

Unfortunately, I’m unable to log into your site for liability reasons–but thanks for sending that info along anyway.

Did importing work on your old site? Or is the issue only popping up on the new dev site?

    Thanks!

    Gotcha, thanks for clarifying!

Would it be possible to try testing with a new event so I can see a live example of the issue? If that’s possible, please set up a new event set for a future date, but with tickets available and on sale.

Also, did you make any other updates to your site between the tickets working and not working? For example, did you update WordPress or any other plugins?

Lastly, will you please try running through these troubleshooting steps for me? I want to make sure we rule out any possible conflicts with the theme or other installed plugins.

    Thanks!

Yes, that’s correct–you only need to provide the ID number rather than the entire URL.

What was the result of running through the troubleshooting steps I linked to above? Did those have any effect?

Hi there, Brad! Thanks for getting in touch and welcome to the forums. 🙂

By default, the tickets box will go away once tickets are no longer on sale. This is to help avoid any confusion for people who might try to purchase tickets for an event that has already passed, and it looks like the event you linked to has passed.

Does the issue still pop up when you try publishing a new upcoming event with tickets on sale?

    Cheers!

Hi Janka– thanks for following up!

You know, I tried importing the Event using the ID you shared (15978761907) and it seemed to import in as expected. I assumed that it was the incorrect event since you were working with .ca, but it appears it is in fact the correct event. My apologies for the misunderstanding there!

Since I was able to import the event, that makes me wonder if there isn’t some other conflict at play. Are you running the latest versions of both Eventbrite Tickets (3.9.1) and The Events Calendar (3.9.1)? Please update them if they’re already updated.

Also, just to erase any doubt, will you please run through these troubleshooting steps to see if there’s a conflict with the theme or possibly another plugin?

Let’s start there and see what we find. 🙂

    Cheers!
    Geoff
