MemberHey there!
Yes, it is absolutely possible to have square images instead of rectangle. Simply upload a square image as the Featured Image for the event and it will display as a square.
You can see examples of how different-sized images display differently in Photo View here on our demo:Â http://wpshindig.com/events/photo/
Does this help answer your question? Please let me know. 🙂

MemberHey David,
Great question! I’m really glad you asked because updating from older versions can be super tricky and it’s a good idea to be as safe as possible.
That’s why I’d recommend testing all of your updates in a safe development environment. If you are not currently running a copy of your site as a testing ground, then I would suggest creating one and using that to ensure everything is in smooth working order before making the same updates on your live site.
The second thing I would recommend is to backup all of your site files and the database before updating. Again, make copies and store them in a place where you can retrieve them should something go awry and you need to restore things to their original state.
I would suggest updating our plugins first, then updating WooCommerce. The latest version of Event Tickets Plus (4.4.5) includes a patch for the recent WooCommerce 3.0 update, so having that plugin ready in advance would be a good way to ensure it is compatible with WooCommerce as soon as WooCommerce is updated.
And, yes, you should be able to go straight from 4.1.2 of our plugins to the latest versions. There were indeed major releases with breaking changes in between there, but this is where having a test site up and running will help ensure you spot and correct any issues before updating on your live site. Also, it would be a good idea to read through our release notes to be aware of the significant changes between releases.

MemberHi Tracy,
Welcome to the forums! I hope you’ve been enjoying Events Calendar PRO and Filter Bar so far. 🙂
Yes, in fact, the calendar’s Month View should already include links to the next and previous months. You can see them at the bottom of our demo.
I do see that there is a custom line of CSS on the page that is hiding the same links from showing up on your calendar. I’m not sure why it’s there, but here it is:
.tribe-events-sub-nav { display: none !important; }Did you add that in the theme settings, or somewhere else? If so, please delete it and the navigation should come back. Here’s a screenshot of the links when I tested that out on your site.
You might be able to override that CSS by heading to the Appearance > Customize > Additional CSS screen and adding this:
.tribe-events-sub-nav { display: block !important; }Hopefully that does the trick. If it doesn’t, I would suggest reaching out to the theme developer and asking where that line of code is coming from and how to remove it.
Cheers!

MemberHi Glyn!
We’d be happy to help — but I do want to note that our pre-sales forum is used to answer questions about purchasing our premium plugins.
If you’re looking for technical support, it would be awesome if you could post your question to our WordPress.org support forum.
Or, if you already have an active license for one of premium plugins, will you please log into your account and post your topic to our premium support forum instead?
In the meantime, I would suggest checking whether you have other published pages that are called “Events” or that use /events in the URL and, if so, delete them. You may also want to follow the steps in this post to get started.
Thanks so much!

MemberHi Richard,
Thanks for getting in touch!
Events Calendar PROÂ does include a related events feature, but not directly in the cart. In other words, it shows up to three related events on the single event page automatically, choosing events that are in the same category as the event being viewed.
I’m afraid that feature is not capable of sharing events cross-site. You can import events from one site to another using our Event Aggregator service as one possible method of sharing events between your sub-sites.
If they are exploring the event in area a, could the same be displayed as a light-box, or pop-up.
This isn’t something our plugins handle right out of the box. Sorry about that!
Could a calendar show similar events within a certain radius?
Yes, our Filter Bar add-on for The Events Calendar adds filters to the calendar view and one of the filters allows visitors to narrow the calendar to events within a specific radius of a zip code.
You can see this on our demo site:Â http://wpshindig.com/events/month/
Enter the ip code in the “Near” field in the search bar, then click the “Show Filters” option and Distance will be one of the ways you can narrow the list of events.
Does this help answer your question? Please let me know. 🙂
Cheers!

MemberHi Rudi,
Welcome to the forums and thanks for getting in touch!
Yeah, I’m totally sorry that none of those are included features at this time.
There is a WooCommerce extension called Follow Ups you might be interested in checking out. It allows you to create custom automated messages for customers. However, the only catch is that it bases its actions on the ticket order instead of the event date, so it’s not quite the same as being able to remind someone about an event based on the event date, but rather the date they purchased the ticket.
I know that we are interested in developing both features but, to be honest, it’s going to take time for them both to be fully implemented, even when they officially do get included on our roadmap. I wish I had a concrete date to timeline to share, but that’s tough to estimate given that we are currently working on other new features and that the waitlist request is not even on the roadmap.
Sorry for the bad news, but does this at least help answer your question? Please let me know.
Thanks,
GeoffGeoff
MemberHi @Filip,
I just tried clicking the link you sent and it appears that the page is up and working:

Here’s a screenshot of the page when I visit it. Are you unable to see the page? Please let me know and we’d be happy to dig into this more with you.

MemberHi Sheri,
Thanks for getting in touch and for checking out our plugins!
Yes, you can indeed show past events in The Events Calendar. Here’s a direct link to the past event archive on our demo to give you an idea of how that works:
http://wpshindig.com/events/past
You also asked about registration forms. Our Event Tickets plugin — which is free — provides your visitors with the ability to register/RSVP for an event and it does not require any interaction with the WordPress admin whatsoever. The visitor simply enters their name and email and that will register them for the event.
Does this help answer your question? Assuming those are what you’re looking for, those are both free plugins and require no purchase. 🙂
Cheers!

MemberHowdy Stephen,
I was just looking at your system information (thanks for providing that!) and it looks like you have the latest version of The Events Calendar (4.4.5) installed, but both Events Calendar PRO and Community Events need to be updated.
You are running Events Calendar PRO 4.3.3 and the latest version is 4.4.5. You are also running Community Events 4.3.1 and the latest version is 4.4.
You can access the latest versions of the plugins by logging into this site. Once you are logged in, head over to the My Account > Downloads screen and you will have access to the latest versions of the plugins.
Then, once you have downloaded the latest versions, you can install them by following the step-by-step instructions outlined here:
Does this help clarify things a bit? Please let me know. 🙂
Cheers!

MemberHi Donna, thanks for following up!
Yes, that is correct. The shortcodes I referred to are a feature that is offered in Events Calendar PRO and are not available in Community Events.

MemberHi Joanne,
Thanks for getting in touch!
It is indeed possible to change the layout of the public attendee list, though it will take some custom development on your part to be show all of the specific details for each attendee.
I have an example for you that adds the name of the attendee below their picture:
https://gist.github.com/geoffgraham/9d5ff5b61f1afacc2708ed77b8f65af2
To make that change:
- Make a folder in your theme directory called tribe-events
- Add a new file in there called attendees-list.php
- Copy paste, and save the code I shared above to the file
Here’s a screenshot of how that looks when it’s used. Hopefully that gives you a solid start on adding the attendee name and any other details. Unfortunately, I do not have any examples for including custom registration details.
Cheers!

MemberHi Armando,
Thanks for getting in touch!
Great question. However, I am afraid there is no official annual view that our plugins currently support.
One possible workaround would be to embed the Month View calendar into a page twelve times, once for each month in the year. For example:
[tribe_events view="month" date="2017-01"], [tribe_events view="month" date="2017-02"]…and so on. It’s not the most elegant thing, but is a possibility.
Does this help answer your question? Please let me know. 🙂
Cheers!
