    Hey there!

I’m happy to help you as best I can but do want to note that technical support in these forums does require access to the account your license key is related to. If you are unable to locate the user info, please do reach out on our Contact page so we can help you access it.

That said, our documentation is the best place place to start for something like this. You might want to give the tribe_meta_event_category_name() function a shot for listing the current event categories. Otherwise, you should be able to use the default WordPress wp_get_terms() function since it would accomplish the same.

    Cheers!

    Hi Ted,

    Good questions!

Need a subscribe to calendar button on my calendars please help.

All the calendar views include an export button the downloads an .ics file for visitors to import into a calendar. While it will not push updates to the calendars, the calendar also includes an RSS feed (/events/feed) that visitors can import into an RSS reader to subscribe to your calendar feed.

The team that needs to be scheduled may not be the only team for that Venue. What is my best way to do teams?

Venues can be host to any number of events but you’re right, an event can only be assigned to a single venue. Another way to do it would be to use the Organizers feature for teams and assign multiple teams to the event. You can add as many Organizers as you’d like for any single event.

If it is possible to add fields I would like to also add home and away and the final score after the event is over.

Yes, Events Calendar PRO does indeed have an Additional Fields feature that would allow you to input the score of a match after it happens, and it will display on the event’s page.

Does this help answer your questions? Please let me know. 🙂

    Cheers!

Hey folks, just want to let you know we do see the issue as well and are looking at it. I’m truly sorry about this because it was ticketed for release in 4.0.3 but seems to have not been fully addressed. It’s just as unacceptable to us as it is to you and I can only apologize for the trouble right now as we continue to dig in.

I’m sorry I don’t have more to share at the moment. For now, downgrading to earlier versions of the plugins may be the best (but I realize not the most optimal) bet.

I do appreciate the heads up and for your patience. As you know, the holidays are right here and we’ll be doing our best to get something to you. I’ll keep you posted.

    Thanks,
    Geoff

Sorry, I’m still having some trouble following…

    A few questions:

    • Was the mini calendar on the /events page in the left sidebar of the page and now it is not?
    • Is there a widget area for the /events page when you go to Appearance > Widgets from the WordPress dashboard?
    • Have you tried switching your calendar template? You can do this by heading to Events > Settings > Display and changing the template to one of your themes templates instead of the default event template.

    Thanks!

Just to clarify: when you say:

Calendar is not on the left bar anymore.

…are you referring to the front end of your site? In other words, you do not see the calendar in the sidebar in your site’s pages?

Or are you referring to the left bar in the WordPress Customizer?

    Thanks!

Hmm, it was there before but now I am not seeing it either. What class/ID are you seeing that affect the images?

    Nice start!

I would suggest copying a different template from your theme (e.g. page.php), remane it, then it as the foundation for your query. You can use the tribe-get-events() function directly in that template to create your event query. 🙂

It’s interesting that the crash would happen on one site and not the other one you mentioned. Are there any differences between the two sites you can think of that would contribute to the affected site behaving this way?

Another idea: let’s try reinstalling fresh copied of The Events Calendar and Events Calendar PRO to the site manually. While it’s a long shot, it is possible a file is corrupted or something else happened during the last update. Here’s an article with step-by-step instructions for how to go about that.

Thanks for your patience while we work on this together!

Hmm, that’s certainly strange. Do you happen to have any snippets in out functions.php file (or elsewhere) that are geared toward the calendar? If so, I would suggest removing those.

OK, let’s try a couple of other things:

    • Do you have any other pages on your site that use the /events slug? If so, please delete them and see if that makes a difference.
    • Does it help to change the calendar template under Events > Settings > Display? If it is set to use one of the theme page templates, for example, then change it to use the default calendar template. And vice versa.
    • Let’s also flush the site’s permalinks by heading to Settings > Permalinks from the WordPress dashboard, making sure the Post Name option is selected, then hitting Save.

I’m hoping one of these three things remedies the issue. If not, we’ll want to do some deeper troubleshooting.

    Thanks!

    Hi @kcpp1,

Sorry for the trouble here! I’m happy to help see if we can figure this out together. 🙂

I see that you have another plugin called No Event 404s. Was that active when you deactivated The Events Calendar? If so, deactivate it first, then Events Calendar PRO, then The Events Calendar and let’s see what happens.

    Thanks!

    Dang, that’s super strange!

Do you happen to have any customizations in place? For example, custom templates or functions for the calendar, add-ons for WooCommerce, etc?

I also see you have Debug Bar installed. Does that return any errors for the main calendar view?
