Hi Sam and thanks for reaching out!

That’s an excellent question. I have not tried using The Events Calendar with Avada Fusion Builder specifically, but do know there are issues with other page builders. I wouldn’t be surprised if there were issues getting these two to play together as well.

Events pages are actually custom post type archives, which is why you won’t see them listed in the WordPress Pages menu — sort of like a Category or Tag archive, which also do no display.

Events Calendar PRO does, however, include shortcodes for embedding the calendar widgets into any page or post. That might be one way to get the effect you’re looking for with a page builder.

Does this help answer your question? Please let me know and I’d be happy to help as best I can.

    Cheers!

    Hey Chris,

    Sorry for the trouble here!

I’m happy to help, but first off, do you have a premium license? We the Pre-Sales forum here to help with non-technical questions related to our plugins for those interested in purchasing them and our premium forums for customers with a valid license.

Hello Bola and thanks for reaching out! I’m really stoked to hear you’re checking out our plugins and I hope they are a good fit for your project. 🙂

The registered users to create and manage their own events using WordPress Account Level security..

Absolutely. We have the Community Events add-on which does just that. In other words, it adds a submission for to your site where guests can add their own events to The Events Calendar. And, of course, you can set the level so that only specific users are able to post.

That is they will login and create private social event e.g weddings, birthdays
create their own invites and invite their own friends, manage the RSVP , to-do list , budgets
select providers such as florist , caterers etc.. such events will only be visible to invited friends …

I’m afraid our plugins won;t be able to handle everything mentioned here. You can use our (free) Event Tickets plugin to add RSVP capabilities to events and those who submit events through the Community Events form will be able to see and manage those attendees. However, the events themselves will not be marked as private and will be visible on the calendar.

After the event, upload their own event Photos to share with their friends in the Forum as defined above

Yes, the person who submitted an event can edit it at any time after it has been submitted, as long as you enable to setting that allows that.

Also, I am Currently using Elegant Themes for the website, hope this is compatible.

I haven’t personally seen any issues with Elegant Themes pop up here in the forums in quite some time so I imagine all is good. That said, we do offer a full refund on all orders within 30 days of purchase, so that should give you a fair amount of time to give the plugins a test drive and see if it works well with your existing setup.

Does this help answer your questions? Please let me know. 🙂

    Cheers,
    Geoff

Hi Dani and thanks for chiming in.

The iCal Importer does pull events into The Events Calendar but I’m afraid it does not push events into other external calendars–at least on a regular, ongoing basis.

That said, if Google Calendar has a feature that allows you to pull in events on a scheduled basis, then you could use the iCal feed supplied by The Events Calendar and iCal Importer to do that, but note that it does require that the calendar pulling those events provides that functionality.

Oystein, let me know if you have any other questions and I’d be happy to help. 🙂

    Cheers,

    Hey @spireworks,

In looking into this pretty deeply, I’m afraid there isn’t a clean way to display the Post Date in the admin area. I was able to find a some good resources on how to add custom columns to a custom post type, but believe it would take editing core plugin files, which I would not recommend doing for the sake of maintenance and losing work.

Sorry for the bad news, but does this help answer your question? Please let me know.

    Thanks,

Oh, I see. Thanks for clarifying!

The posts are ordered by Post Date by default even though the column itself does not show.

    Hey there @spireworks,

Is there a tab in the upper right corner of your admin screen that says “Screen Options” (screenshot)? If so, will you please click that and make sure the Start Date option is checked (screenshot)?

The Start Date column will appear once that is selected and will allow you to sort events by the Start Date.

    Thanks!

Hi Tweed and welcome to the forums! So sorry for the trouble here–let’s figure this out together.

First off, will you please manually reinstall the plugin? We have a handy guide to help walk through the steps to do this. Your data will be completely fine, though it’s always a good idea to backup your files and database when making any update in WordPress.

Once you have the latest versions of both The Events Calendar and Events Calendar PRO installed (both are at 4.0.7), head over to Events > Settings, click on the Licenses tab and see if you are able to enter a license from there.

    Cheers!

Hey Matt and welcome to the forums!

Wow, that’s a lot of events — awesome to see a calendar with so much activity!

Having that many posts would certainly slow down any site, but there would be a few ways to help reduce the strain:

    • Caching assets (as it sounds like you’re doing, so great job!) using a plugin like W3 Total Cache.
    • Showing only the first instance of a recurring series. This option is available in Events > Settings (screenshot)
    • Trying a different host. If you have a shared hosting package, then switching to something with a dedicated server option would certainly speed things up.
    • Increasing PHP memory. There are ways to do this on your own, but sometimes requires the host to help accommodate.

Let me know if any of these helps shave some time off of loading!

    Cheers,
    Geoff

Hello Jon and welcome to the forums and thanks for your support. 🙂

Good question. Tickets are hidden from the WooCommerce product catalog by default, though you can change that by editing the ticket. Head to Products, go to the ticket editing screen, then change the Catalog Visibility option in the Publish settings (screenshot) from Hidden to Catalog. Save your changes and that will add the ticket to the catalog along with other WooCommerce products.

Will this work for you? Please let me know.

Howdy Rachel and welcome to the forums!

Good question. You can remove both the “Add to Cart” button and the quantity selection input by adding this to your theme’s style.css file or using the Simple Custom CSS plugin:

    .tribe-events-style-full table.tribe-events-tickets td.woocommerce.add-to-cart,
    .tribe-events-style-full table.tribe-events-tickets td:first-child {
    display: none;
    }

If you want to add a link to the product page for a ticket itself, you will want to do that using a template override. Our Themer’s Guide walks through template overrides, but it basically boils down to this:

    • Make a copy of the tickets.php file. It’s located at /plugins/event-tickets-plus/src/views/wootickets/tickets.php
    • Make a new folder in your theme folder called tribe-events
    • Make another folder in that one called wootickets
    • Drop the copied tickets.php file in that last folder

Now that the template is in your theme it can be customized to suit your needs. In this case, wrap the ticket name in a link to the product.

Will this help you get started? Please let me know. 🙂

in reply to: EventBrite Tickets plugin #1086827

Hi Matt and thanks for getting in touch!

Great questions, let’s tackle them one at a time.

    1) Payment types restriction: You say I can only use Google or PayPal if I use the API. Can I get around this by writing out the iframe that pulls in the EventBrite tickets?

All payments for tickets are handled directly through Eventbrite. In other words, the Eventbrite Tickets will display the tickets that are available for a particular event (if there are any for it in Eventbrite), then take the customer to Eventbrite to complete the transaction. You can certainly try to intercept and customize the transaction process, but I assume that would be a very heavy lift and likely limited by what the Eventbrite API has to offer.

    2) With the plugin, I can enter events on my site, and then push them to EventBrite, correct? Will it push all events, or can I select which ones I want to display on EventBrite?

That is indeed correct. And you can choose to push an event to Eventbrite in the event editing process which means you can choose which events are pushed to Eventbrite.

    3) If I go the other way, and enter the events on EventBrite, I see that I can download them to my site. However, it appears I must do each event individually. Is that correct? If so, is there any way to import all my events from EventBrite?

You are correct: all events imported from Eventbrite are done individually. I’m afraid importing all at once is not currently supported.

Does this help answer your questions? Please let me know. 🙂

    Hello Eric,

Interesting question — tickets themselves are actually created by WooCommerce so, in other words, they behave like any other product in the catalog. That means you would have to manually edit or remove the ticket from WooCommerce if it should no longer be included in the product grid.

Sorry for the bad news, but does this at least help answer your question? Please let me know.

    Thanks,
    Geoff
