    Hello Oystein,

That’s a great question! It sounds like our iCal Importer add-on will be a nice fit. You can import events from any number of external calendars (including Google Calendar) on an automated basis directly into The Events Calendar and then manage them from there in WordPress.

Note that these will not be individual calendars once they are imported, but you can choose to categorize events on import and then use the category URL to show events for only those categorized events.

Does this help answer your question? Please let me know. 🙂

    Cheers,
    Geoff

Hi Rodney and thanks for getting in touch!

Excellent question. You can definitely use our Filter Bar add-on to allow your visitors to filter event search results to very narrowed results. This will add a set of filters to the calendar that visitors can use to narrow events down to a number of different variables, such as time, venue, organizer, day of the week, category and tags. It can even support custom fields if you also have Events Calendar PRO installed.

And, yes, you can add as many locations (we call them “Venues”) as you would like to the filters.

Does this help answer your questions? Please let me know. 🙂

    Cheers!

Hello Mille and thanks for getting in touch! I’m stoke to hear you’re checking out The Events Calendar for your project and I hope it’s a good fit. 🙂

Events Calendar PRO does a lot of things, but gust submissions are not one of them. We do, however, have Community Events, which does exactly that by adding a form to the front end of the site where visitors can submit events to the calendar.

We need them to fill in name, membership number, mobile number, purpose of use etc…

One thing that Events Calendar PRO does include is the ability to add custom fields to events. You will definitely want to grab a copy of Events Calendar PRO in addition to Community Events to get everything you’re looking for.

Does this help answer your questions? Please let me know.

    Cheers!

Hi Henry and welcome back to the forums. 🙂

Good question. Do you have the “Recurring event instances” option checked? It’s located in Events > Settings (screenshot).

If you do not have that option checked and the recurring instances are not showing, then will you please head to Events > Settings > Help, copy the system information at the bottom of the screen, and paste it here for me as a private reply? That will help me see some additional settings and try to mirror them in my own test site.

    Thanks!

    Hey Stefan,

Awesome, so glad that helps, Stefan!

The Read More and ellipses likely depend on your theme functions more than anything else. I think the best place to read up on customizing those would be here in the WordPress Codex or by reaching out directly to the theme author.

Thanks again for reaching out and please feel free to hit us with another thread if any other questions about events pop up–we’d be happy to help. 🙂

    Cheers!

    Hello Bart,

It looks like the “Tribe Events Archive” title is only showing up in the Month View:

    http://www.wtnschp.be/events/maand/

All the other views appear to be correct.

Will you please try a couple of things for me:

    • Try activating a default WordPress theme (like Twenty Sixteen). Is the title correct when the default theme is active?
    • If no, try deactivating all other non-Modern Tribe plugins in addition to switching to a default WordPress theme. Is the title correct in this scenario?

If the answer to both of those last points is no, then please head to Events > Settings > Help, copy the system information at the bottom of the screen, and paste it here as a private reply. That will allow me to check a few more settings and compare them to my test site.

Furthermore, when I decided to disable the Yoast plugin, the calendar went completely blank. I could not get it back. Re-enabling Yoast fixed that. What’s this about?

You may need to flush the permalinks of your site after deactivating Yoast. You do that by heading to Settings > Permalinks and simply clicking the save button without making any changes.

    Thanks!
    Geoff

    Hello Samantha,

Thanks for checking out Events Calendar PRO–I hope it’s a great fir for your site. 🙂

I am not aware of any issues with our plugins and Enfold at the moment. I do know there were a handful of issues in the past, but those were quite a while ago and nothing has been reported since.

My best piece of advice would be to install The Events Calendar (free) and test it out with your site. If that works well, then the chances of Events Calendar PRO integrating smoothly will be very high since PRO is an extension of The Events Calendar and both plugins are installed together.

And, yes, the calendar works exactly as you would expect: you can add multiple events to a single day and have recurring events. I also want to note that we offer a full refund on all products within 30-days of purchase, so that should give you a fair amount of time to install it and check things out to see if they work the way you like.

Does this help answer your questions? Please let me know. 🙂

    Hi @nnyorker,

Sure thing! The font color of the mini calendar widget can be changed by adding this to your theme’s style.css file or a plugin like Simple Custom CSS:

    .tribe-mini-calendar th,
    .tribe-mini-calendar-no-event,
    .tribe-mini-calendar .tribe-events-has-events a {
    color: #000 !important;
    }

Will this work for you? Please let me know.

    Cheers!

Phew! Sounds like there was a bad connection with the Eventbrite API but I’m so glad things seem to be working smoothly now. 🙂

Let us know if anything else pops up and we’d be happy to help.

    Hi @ocst,

Sorry for the delayed reply while most of our team is out.

I’ve been looking at this and am having a tough time tracking down what’s happening. I’ve been able to import the event on my site and experienced the same issue–the event content imports but the ticket form is not included, though the tickets are displayed on the back end.

I see that Nico asked a couple of great questions in your last thread and they would be worth asking again:

The only difference I see in both events is the timezone: the working event is set to EST while the other is set to EDT. But that shouldn’t be a problem, Can you try to switch that setting anyway?

    and this:

It’s just this event that’s not working or this is happening with other events as well? If you create a new event does it work? Also have you tried to ‘disconnect’ and ‘reconnect’ the event?

Were you able to give those a try and, if so, what was the result? Hopefully this will help us pinpoint things a little further to figure this out.

    Thanks,
    Geoff

    Hi Doug,

Oh man, no the View More link unfortunately does not show a preview of the remaining events on a given day but instead links directly to a list of all the events on that day. I’d imagine it would be possible, but would certainly take a bit of custom development to pull it off.

Any other pre-sales questions I can help with? Please let me know. 🙂
