MemberHi Luke and thanks for reaching out!
I definitely see what you mean. I do notice an error message when inspecting your site:
Uncaught TypeError: $widget_wrapper.on is not a function (widget-calendar.js:43)
In other words, it looks like there could be a Javascript error in the theme that is preventing the script from loading correctly. Are you, by chance, able to follow up with the theme author to see if they might be able to shed some light on what’s happening? I’d be interested to know if there’s anything we should be doing on our end and will leave this thread open in case any questions come up that I can help answer.
Thanks!
GeoffGeoff
MemberNo worries, Luke! I’ll close this thread and see you in the other one. 🙂

MemberHey Greg, and welcome back to the forums. 🙂
The word category is showing up in the URL because what you linked to is the full calendar view for events in the “Spiritual Community Events” category. In other words, this is not an event post, but an archive of event posts.
If you visit one of your event posts, however, the category is removed from the URL as you would expect: http://dev.awakenche.org/event/event-test-greg/
Does this help clarify things a bit? Let me know. 🙂
Cheers!

MemberThat’s an awesome question, Philip!
Pushing events from The Events Calendar to other sites is totally possible, but it would require that those sites also have The Events Calendar installed and use our iCal Importer add-on to grab those events. That would allow you to have one central site act as the hub for all your events, then each external site would scrape the events it needs using iCal Importers options to pull in a certain type of events and run that import on an automated schedule.
And if so, do you have any documentation? And if not, is this something that we could hire you to help us implement?
We do keep all of our documentation here in addition to a knowledgebase that includes a bunch of articles on how to set up and use iCal Importer. We do not help with customizations directly, but do have a list of freelancers who we would absolutely recommend.
Does this help answer your questions? Please let me know if you have any others and I’d be happy to help as best I can!
Cheers,
GeoffGeoff
MemberHi Edgar,
My apologies for a rough start here with Event Ticket Plus! I really do appreciate that you’ve reported this and that you went through the process of testing for conflicts — that helps a ton.
I am afraid that Event Tickets is not compatible with WPML at the moment. We have put a lot of effort into integrating The Events Calendar itself with WPML, but Event Tickets and Event Ticket Plus are not fully there and it really is a huge lift to get it going, though it is something we are definitely wanting to do.
Sorry for the bad news, but does this help shed some light on the issue? I can understand the frustration here since your site definitely needs to support multilingual content, so let me know if this is a deal-breaker, and I would be happy to refund your purchase, as long as it’s within our 30-day window for returns. Let me know and I can get that going.
Thanks,
GeoffGeoff
MemberHello Sovattha and welcome to the forums!
Do you happen to have WooCommerce installed? The option to sell tickets will only display if Event Tickets, Event Tickets Plus and an ecommerce plugin (like WooCommerce) is installed. I’m wondering if that could be the issue.
If you do happen to have that active already and the ticket options are not still not showing, then I would definitely take you up on that offer to see the information in the Help tab. You can copy that and paste it here as a private reply and I’d be happy to look it over.
Thanks!

MemberRight on! Thanks for the confirmation and the additional feedback. I’m so glad to hear this helps. 🙂

MemberWell shoot, I was really thinking that would be it. It’s so strange that those errors are showing up on your site but not on my test site when doing the same thing.
Would you be willing to follow the steps outlined in this post for me? If the only things different about our sites are the plugins that are installed and the theme being used, then following these steps will help us figure out where those messages are coming from.
Sorry for the trouble here! This is normally a pretty straightforward change in the template.
Thanks,
GeoffGeoff
MemberHowdy @teubl and thanks for following up!
We do not do customizations directly, though we do have a list of freelancers available filled with folks we would happily recommend. Please do check that out and let me know if you have any other questions. 🙂

MemberThanks for following up! We’ll be sure to follow up with you here, but please do keep your eyes open for version 4.1.1 to ship soon.

MemberHello @teubl,
Great questions. The grid (or as we call it, Photo) view can be customized so that the container for each post is the same height, though it would take adding some CSS to your theme (or child theme). We have a pretty handy post on how to find the calendar’s CSS classes that I’d suggest checking out.
I’m afraid there is no shortcode or widget to display past events. There are plenty of widgets (and PRO includes shortcodes for them) that can list events, but they will only display what is upcoming rather than what is past. Sorry for the bad news there!
Did you have any other questions I can help with? Please let me know an I would be happy to. 🙂

MemberHi Ivan and thanks for getting in touch! I hope that Community Events and The Events Calendar will both work well for you. 🙂
Good question. If the datepicker is not working, then it could be a conflict with the theme or another plugin. We use a Javascript plugin for the datepicker and it’s very possible that it is conflicting with the scripts from somewhere else.
There is a way to dequeue the calendar’s scripts, so that might be something you would be interested in trying to resolve any conflicts. You can also follow the troubleshooting steps listed here to pinpoint where any conflicts are coming from.
I also want to remind you that we have a really nice refund policy that allows you to return any of our products within 30 days of purchase, should something not work out as expected. Definitely take advantage of that if you’d like to test the compatibility further.
Does this help answer your questions? Please let me know.
Cheers,

MemberHey Doug and thanks for getting in touch! Happy to provide a two-part answer here. 🙂
We have a license key for the PRO version, as it was purchased via a third party developer who provided it to us.
While I am unable to transfer the license over to you, I would be happy to give you the renewal price of Events Calendar PRO so that, when you purchase it, it is both the same cost you would have paid if you did have the license and allows you to create your own account in the process. Is that something you would be interested in? If so, please email us at support [at] theeventscalendar.com, link to this thread, and we’d be happy to help out.
Do you offer educational discounts for higher ed institutions in regards to software purchases?
We do indeed offer free licenses for organizations. We have an application to apply for that and, while it’s not a guarantee, I wold encourage you to give it a shot.
Does this help answer your questions? Please let me know. 🙂

MemberHi @tucsonspeedway,
So sorry for the trouble here! This is indeed an issue we are aware of and plan to patch up in our next maintenance release, currently slated to release next week or early the following week. I’ve flagged this thread in the ticket for the issue and will be sure to follow-up with you here when it ships.
Thanks for your patience while we work on this!
