So sorry for the trouble here! This is indeed an issue we are aware of and plan to patch up in our next maintenance release, currently slated to release next week or early the following week. I’ve flagged this thread in the ticket for the issue and will be sure to follow-up with you here when it ships.
I resolved this by going back to Events Calendar 4.0. Works for the time being. I don’t understand how something like this happens with a newly released update- but what do I know… 🙂
Just wanted to follow up and let you know that we released version 4.1.1 last night and it included a fix for this issue. Please update to the latest version if you haven’t already and do let us know if you continue to see any issues from there. 🙂
