MemberFYI, I’m going to move this thread to our Events Calendar PRO support forum. We use this Translations forum to help discuss issues around language translation files in the plugin. ๐
The URL will be the same, but you will need to log into your account here on this site to post a reply.
Thanks!

MemberHi Rod,
Great question. One way to make that happen would be to create a redirect using the URL you want and have it point to the existing URL. A plugin like Redirection would be great for that.
Another way would be to create a new page in WordPress, then use one of the Events Calendar PRO shortcodes to display a calendar widget on the page. I’m afraid those shortcodes are only limited to widgets for the time being, but we are working on full calendar views for an upcoming release.
Does this help answer your question? Please let me know. ๐
Cheers!

MemberHey Michael and welcome to the forums!
I think the best route is to start with one of our templates, duplicate it, then override it in the theme directory using the process outlined here in our Themer’s Guide.
Alternatively, you could construct a custom query of events in any theme template, either usingย tribe_get_events() as the basis of the query, or the default WordPress get_posts() function in which you would make a called for theย tribe_events post type.
Does this make sense and will it work for you? Please let me know. ๐
Cheers!

MemberRight on, thanks for following up!
It’s worth noting that future updates should be super safe, as long as the template override process in our Themer’s Guide is followed. Storing the customizations in a child theme folder will prevent any work from being lost when either the plugin, the theme or WordPress itself updates. ๐
Cheers!

MemberAbsolutely, my friend! Annoy away. ๐
Recurring events can be a little tricky, but we make them as flexible as possible. In fact, here’s a post on all the ways you can customize and create your own recurrence patterns for events.
In other words, recurring events can be as simple or complex as you’d like. ๐

MemberHey Debra, me again!
It sounds like there is a styling conflict with the theme you are using. If you link me to your site, I can check it out and provide a possible workaround to help with the font color.
Thanks!

MemberHey Debra, thanks for reaching out!
We’re happy to help! First off, will you please post your question to our Events Calendar PRO support forum? We use the Pre-Sales Forum here to help answer questions about purchasing our plugins and provide technical support over in the PRO forum.
And, when you do, would you also be willing to head to Events > Settings > Help, copy the system information at the bottom of the screen and paste itย when opening the thread? That will help us dig into your settings to look for possible clues.
Thanks so much for your understanding and see you in a bit!

MemberHowdy Ramon,
So glad to hear you’re checking out the plugins!
All of this does sound possible. In fact, here are the plugins I would suggest:
- The Events Calendar (free) — This is the core plugin that allows you to create and manage a calendar of events in WordPress.
- Events Calendar PRO — This extends The Events Calendar so that you can create recurring events
- Event Tickets (free) — This plugin allows you to accept RSVPs for events and provides the underlying framework for ticket sales
- Event Tickets Plus — This extends Event Tickets so that you can create and sell tickets for your events
- WooCommerce (free) — This is not our plugin, but it is the ecommerce engine that allows you to take payments on your site and Event Tickets Plus integrates with it
With those, you will be able to create events, create recurring events, set a venue and time for those events, sell tickets for those events, and allow customers to change their attendance status if they need to.
It is worth noting, however, that recurring events do not currently support tickets. That’s a feature we’re actively working for our next major release, if all goes according to plan — but I wanted to point that out to make sure I’m setting any false expectations.
Does this help answer your questions? Please let me know. ๐
Cheers!

MemberHey Rafael, thanks for getting in touch!
While a demo of the Eventbrite Tickets plugin is unavailable, we do have a great refund policy that allows you to return the plugin within 30 days of purchase, should it nor function the way you hope. Plus, we often find that given the complexity of WordPress setups, testing in your own environment is the best way to truly see if a plugin will work for you.
Does this help answer your question? Please let me know. ๐

GeoffJune 23, 2016 at 12:43 pm in reply to: Does the Events Calendar offer automatic structured data? #1131163Geoff
MemberHey Greg,
Good question. The Events Calendar includes a number of templates, all of which can be custom coded by overriding them in the theme directory. Here’s a much more detailed overview of how that works:
https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/themers-guide/
The plugin also includes a huge number of available filters and functions that can be used to hook into just about any thing in the calendar and those are provided over here in our documentation.
Do these help provide the information you’re looking for?
Cheers!

MemberHey Jeremy and thanks for following up!
Does that mean that Iโll need to install both ?
That is correct, sir! Event Tickets Plus is an extension to Event Tickets just as Events Calendar PRO is an extension of The Events Calendar. Both plugins need to be installed for the full set of features to function.
If for one given event I could add multiple date so As updating on event will update all occurrences of the event ?
Speaking of Events Calendar PRO, recurring events are an included feature of that plugin. You can create multiple events out of a single single and then edit the parent event to change the information in all the rest.
Also, just to be sure, I will be able to create custom registering & billing forms for my customer ?
Yes, Event Tickets Plus does indeed allow you to create custom fields for attendees to complete during ticket purchases. Here’s a very thorough overview of how that works.
Cheers!

MemberHeck yeah, that’s great to hear! Man, errors like that can be scary and i’m glad this worked out — nice work!
I’ll go ahead and close this thread but please do let us know if anything else pops up and we’d be happy to help. ๐
Cheers and thanks for using our plugins!

MemberHello Norja!
The price is indeed annual and it provides you access to the plugin, updates for the year, and access to our support forums here on this site as long as the license is active.
You can certainly stop paying for the license after the year is up and the plugin will still continue to function — it will only prevent you from accessing updates and support until the license is reactivated.
Does that make sense and help answer your question? Please let me know. ๐
Cheers,

MemberHey Lars and so sorry for the trouble here with the update!
Will you please do a few things for me to get started?
1. Manually remove the existing Modern Tribe plugins
Those errors give me the hunch that there is a possible corrupted file in the version of The Events Calendar that was installed. If you can FTP into your server and deleteย the following plugins, then that should help resolve the error so you can at least log back into your WordPress admin:
- The Events Calendar
- Events Calendar PRO
- Filter Bar
- Facebook Events
- iCal Importer
2. Re-install the plugins manually
Please download fresh copies of the plugins. You can find the latest version of The Events Calendar here on WordPress.org and the rest by logging into this site and heading to My Account > Downloads.
Once you have downloaded fresh copies of the plugins, please follow the steps outlined in this post to manually upload them to your site and then activate them.
3. Try accessing the calendar on your site
If all goes according to plan, then you should be able to access the calendar again. If you are unable to, however, then please head over to Events > Settings > Help, copy the system information at the bottom of the page, then paste it here for me as a private reply and that will help me check for other possible issues.
Let’s start here and see what we find.
Thanks so much!
