Hey Lee and welcome to the forums!

Yes, itย is indeed possible to limit the number of tickets per event. To do that, however, you will need to make the switch from WooCommerce Tickets to Event Tickets Plus, which has replaced WooCommerce Tickets since 4.0. You already have a license for Event Tickets Plus in your account to help make the transition smoother. ๐Ÿ™‚

Event Tickets Plus includes a feature to set a maximum number of tickets for an event, regardless of the number of types of tickets have been created for the event. We call that feature “Global Stock” and you can read up on it over here.

Does this help answer your question? Please let me know.

    Cheers!

    Howdy Jeremy,

Thanks for reaching out! I hope our plugins are a good fit for your site and I’m stoked that you’re considering them. ๐Ÿ™‚

Yes, The Events Calendar does indeed allow you to filter events by a specific category. Each event category gets its own unique URL that you can use to link directly:

    [your-site]/events/category/[category-slug]

So, for example, a category called party would looks like this:

    [your-site]/events/category/party

That’s a feature available right out of the box in the free version of the plugin — no add-ons necessary. ๐Ÿ™‚

If you are interested in filtering events a little further, then I’d suggest checking out our Filter Bar add-on. It allows visitors to filter the calendar by a number of variables, including category.

Will I be able to customize customer information forms, and add those infos in the tickets ?

Absolutely! You will need our (free) Event Tickets plugin for that, and then our paid Event Tickets Plus as well. Event Tickets Plus includes the feature to create custom registration fields when visitors purchase tickets for events.

Does this help answer your questions? Please let me know. ๐Ÿ™‚

    Cheers,

That makes perfect sense, Ellen! Thanks for following up and clarifying that for me. ๐Ÿ™‚

I’m afraid that feature is not currently supported in our plugins. I can see how others may find that useful as well and it would be awesome if you posted this idea to our feature request forum. This allows others who are interested in that feature to easily voice their support. We frequently review suggestions there to find out which ones are popular, then we implement as many of them as we can.

Sorry for the bad news, but does this help answer your question? Please let me know.

    Thanks,
    Geoff

Hmm, all of those prices look correct except for the Community Events upgrade price. I’ll have to flag that for our team to look into because $449 is not a price I see anywhere else.

The Community Manager Bundleย starts at $299 and is $499 for a Business-level license. The bundleย includes Community Events, plus the other plugins I listed. It’s worth noting that Events Calendar PRO is not one of the plugins included in the bundle, so that would need to be purchased separately.

    Cheers,
    Geoff

That is correct, sir! It’s available in Events Calendar PRO as a fresh option when activating the plugin. ๐Ÿ™‚

Stoked to hear you’re considering an upgrade!ย I’ll go ahead and close this thread since I see it was marked Resolved, but please do let me or anyone else here know if any other questions pop up and we’d be happy to help.

    Cheers!

Hey Dave and thanks for reaching out!

Yes, overriding a venue’s location with lat/long coordinates is totally possible in Events Calendar PRO. Here’s a screenshot of that option when editing a Venue in the WordPress admin.

Is that what you’re looking for? Please let me know. ๐Ÿ™‚

    Hi @jroberts,

Community Events actually starts at $89 with an Agency-level license for $299.

Are you referring to our Community Manager Bundle? The Business-level license for that is $499 and it includes note just Community Events, but the following additional plugins as well:

    • Community Tickets
    • Event Tickets Plus
    • Filter Bar

I see you already have an Agency-level license for Community Events and that is set to expire next month. If you want, you can purchase the Community Manager Bundle instead of renewing the Community Events license and that will allow you to pick up all the other add-ons as well in a single purchase.

Does this help answer your question? Please let me know. ๐Ÿ™‚

Hi James, thanks for reaching out!

Sorry, but I’m afraid that events do not support groups in that way. The Events Calendar does employ WordPress’ default user roles to set access to viewing, editing, and publishing events in the admin area, but assigning full groups to an event and setting notifications is not a support feature at this time.

That said, there may very well be other plugins that offer notifications that can be applied to The Events Calendar. For example, this one looks promising, though I haven’t tested it personally.

Does this help answer your question? Please let me know. ๐Ÿ™‚

    Hi Gary,

Thanks for checking in and following up with us on this.

We’ve made a number of updates to the plugins since 4.1 and are currently on 4.2.1. I’ve checked our release notes and ticketing system and I do see updates where the previous and next links in Month View were touched. I would imagine that the issue has been resolved as each release has been tested and we have seen no other reports of that issue pop up since. I tried the latest version on my test site and was unable to replicate that issue as well.

    Hi Gianni,

You’re in luck! We have a nonprofit program that allows you to apply for a free copy of Events Calendar PRO.

Please read the guidelines for applying and then be sure to complete the application for consideration. ๐Ÿ™‚

Cheers and thanks for reaching out!

    Hello Ellen,

That’s interesting! While there are no file uploads fields in the custom field options for Community Events, I wonder if it might be possible to create them using Advanced Custom Fields in addition to what’s offered in our plugin. That would allow you to define additional fields and attach them to the events post type.

It’s worth noting that I haven’t tested that myself and it’s possible that the Community Events form template itself will need to be customized to display those fields so those creating events have access to them. For that, we do have a Themer’s Guide that helps walk through the process of customizing the calendar’s templates.

Sorry I don’t have a concrete answer for you here, but does this at least help get you started? Please let me know.

    Cheers,
    Geiff

    Hi Bronwyn,

That’s a great question! While The Events Calendar does not have a way to specify event colors right out of the box, each event does indeed have an associated class name to it that can be targeted in the CSS to make that possible.

There’s also a pretty handle add-on that someone wrote called Category Colors that helps color-code events by category. I’d definitely check that out as well as it might be a nice starting point.

Does this help answer your question? Please let me know. ๐Ÿ™‚
