ParticipantHi Guys,
I just have a question and I’m hoping you can help me out with it.
We are aware that you can set a maximum quantity per ticket. It is possible to set a maximum quantity of tickets per event?
We’re looking to set up different tickets for different prices (parents are more expensive then children), and therefore we need to apply different tickets? We do not want to set a maximum amount on each ticket, but instead the whole event (it’s a show and there are a maximum amount of seats).
We are using the WooTickets add-on, I have attached a screenshot of what I’m trying to explain above, if it doesn’t make much sense.
Is this something that’s in the plugin, or can you advise the best way we do this?
Thank you in advance π
Best Regards,

MemberHey Lee and welcome to the forums!
Yes, itΒ is indeed possible to limit the number of tickets per event. To do that, however, you will need to make the switch from WooCommerce Tickets to Event Tickets Plus, which has replaced WooCommerce Tickets since 4.0. You already have a license for Event Tickets Plus in your account to help make the transition smoother. π
Event Tickets Plus includes a feature to set a maximum number of tickets for an event, regardless of the number of types of tickets have been created for the event. We call that feature “Global Stock” and you can read up on it over here.
Does this help answer your question? Please let me know.
Cheers!

Thank you very much π
I’ll get back to you as soon as I can.

MemberRight on, that sounds great! Thanks for following up. I’ll keep this thread open in the meantime, though do keep in mind that our system will automatically close threads that have been inactive for two weeks. I imagine you’ll follow up before then, but wanted to throw that out there. π
Cheers and have a great day!

ParticipantHi Geoff,
The alternative above is awesome! It solves all our issues π
With WooTickets, it required the order to be ‘Confirmed’ before we can actually view the attendees. Using Events Tickets Plus, (I have visited this page https://theeventscalendar.com/product/wordpress-event-tickets-plus/) and can’t confirm if it does this by default?
I know this isn’t the original question but I hope you can answer it anyway?
Cheers Geoff!

MemberHeck yeah, that’s awesome to hear! So glad that the upgrade to Event Tickets Plus solved everything you were looking for. π
Nothing has changed with the order needing to be completed before viewing new attendees. That is still indeed the case and is more of a limitation for how Event Tickets Plus can interact with WooCommerce than anything else. There may be a way to change that with custom development, but we’ve had to keep the order status at complete in order for the plugin to work for other situations as well.
I’ll go ahead and close this thread since it sounds like the original question was answered, but please do let us know if any others pop up in a new thread and we’d be more than happy to help. π
Cheers and have a great day!
