ParticipantHi we are using the Additional Fields add-on as a way to display athletic scores on a high school website. It’s been working fine up until we just recently upgraded the plugins on the site… now, whenever we save a score as ‘0’ and update the event, it clears the input field, treating it as ’empty’ instead of the numeric ‘zero’. The field is a text input, and was working fine previous to the latest updates.
We will implement a fix in the meantime to treat empty fields as a ‘zero’ but I think this may be a bug you want to address in case people have similar use cases for this add-on.

I will investigate to see if this is indeed a bug in our code, which seems to be the case. The good news—relatively—is that bugs like this are usually rather quick to fix, so we’ll do that as soon as possible.
In the meantime, I’m wondering—would you be able to share a screenshot of your custom field’s configuration? I just mean the literal screen in your wp-admin where you have added/configured the Additional Field.
You can do so by uploading the screenshot to Imgur.com, Flickr.com, CloudUp.com, or any similar image-hosting site; then just share the links to those images here and I’ll take a look.

FYI – in the meantime I just updated our theme code to check if the ‘score’ fields are empty and if so, so assume a ‘0’ in its place. What I’m seeing is that 0 isn’t even being saved to the event, it’s actually just clearing the field whenever I update the event with a 0 in that field.
