ParticipantHi,
Tried to update the event calender to 4.2.1. This immediately caused the entire page to go down with a http 500 error.
I deactivated the event calender and the page is working fine again. Just to make sure I tried to activate the plugin once more – but wordpress won’t let me acctivate theevent calender and gives me the following message:
Warning: file_get_contents(/home/agentxvy/public_html/wp-content/plugins/the-events-calendar/common/src/Tribe/Main.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/agentxvy/public_html/wp-content/plugins/the-events-calendar/src/Tribe/Main.php on line 254
Warning: require_once(/Autoloader.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/agentxvy/public_html/wp-content/plugins/the-events-calendar/src/Tribe/Main.php on line 4450
Fatal error: require_once(): Failed opening required ‘/Autoloader.php’ (include_path=’.:/opt/alt/php70/usr/share/pear’) in /home/agentxvy/public_html/wp-content/plugins/the-events-calendar/src/Tribe/Main.php on line 4450
So as of now I don’t have the event calannder on our page. I hope we can find a solution quickly.
Best wishes

MemberHey Lars and so sorry for the trouble here with the update!
Will you please do a few things for me to get started?
1. Manually remove the existing Modern Tribe plugins
Those errors give me the hunch that there is a possible corrupted file in the version of The Events Calendar that was installed. If you can FTP into your server and delete the following plugins, then that should help resolve the error so you can at least log back into your WordPress admin:
- The Events Calendar
- Events Calendar PRO
- Filter Bar
- Facebook Events
- iCal Importer
2. Re-install the plugins manually
Please download fresh copies of the plugins. You can find the latest version of The Events Calendar here on WordPress.org and the rest by logging into this site and heading to My Account > Downloads.
Once you have downloaded fresh copies of the plugins, please follow the steps outlined in this post to manually upload them to your site and then activate them.
3. Try accessing the calendar on your site
If all goes according to plan, then you should be able to access the calendar again. If you are unable to, however, then please head over to Events > Settings > Help, copy the system information at the bottom of the page, then paste it here for me as a private reply and that will help me check for other possible issues.
Let’s start here and see what we find.
Thanks so much!

MemberHeck yeah, that’s great to hear! Man, errors like that can be scary and i’m glad this worked out — nice work!
I’ll go ahead and close this thread but please do let us know if anything else pops up and we’d be happy to help. 🙂
Cheers and thanks for using our plugins!
