MemberHi Thierry, thanks for following up!
Cancelling orders is something you would do through the ecommerce plugin. For example, if you are using Event Tickets Plus with WooCommerce, then you can cancel an order (or a portion of the order) to initiate a refund to the customer.
In other words, Event Tickets Plus does not actually handle the transactions for tickets, but allows you to create the tickets so that the ecommerce plugin being used can handle the money and transactions from there.
In fact, here’s a guide that explains the process for cancelling tickets and orders:

October 28, 2016 at 9:18 am in reply to: Split Recurring Events completely to separate events #1184444Geoff
MemberHello @wegoecono,
You’re absolutely correct: the best way to break recurring events into separate events is to edit each instance, which will break it out of the series when saving the changes. In fact, when you click the “Edit Single” option for any event in a series (screenshot), then it will trigger a warning asking if you are sure you want to make the changes because doing so will make it a single event.
Sorry that’s likely not what you were hoping for, but does this at least help answer your question? Please let me know.
Thanks!

MemberHey Jimi,
Thanks so much for the kind words! I’m really stoked to hear you’ve been enjoying The Events Calendar so far and that you’ve gotten enough traction from it to consider building a system out of it — that’s awesome. 🙂
Let’s get straight to your questions…
Do you have the ability for a buyer to ask the seller a question?
Not directly, no. However ,if the seller has listed themselves as the Organizer of the event, then the opportunity to provide contact information is there that a buyer can use to reach out to a seller directly. In fact, if you have Events Calendar PRO installed as well, it will set up pages for event organizers.
Is it possible to sell “vouchers” which can be redeemed against an event of any date offline? (In other words, the buyer would not book a particular date/time but could buy a voucher, say as a gift; and then gift recipient would arrange the date/time offline with the event organiser).
I’m afraid this is a solid no. It might be possible that another plugin for creating coupons and vouchers will work here. For example, this one might be worth looking into. However, none of our plugins directly create or manage coupons or vouchers.
Does this help answer your questions? Let me know if you have follow-up questions here and I’d be happy to help as best I can. 🙂
Cheers!
GeoffOctober 28, 2016 at 8:40 am in reply to: Multiple Individuals Registering for Multiple Events #1184433Geoff
MemberHi Daniel and happy Friday!
It sounds like you’re looking for the ability to create and sell tickets for events. Events Calendar PRO is unable to do that, however we do have a couple of other plugins specifically for that:
- Event Tickets (free) – This allows you to create free tickets (like RSVPs) for events and is required for the next plugin…
- Event Tickets Plus – This allows you to create paid tickets for events and connects to a number of ecommerce plugins (including WooCommerce, among others) so people can add them to a cart for purchase.
The one limitation I do want to put out there is that neither Event Tickets nor Event Tickets Plus allow folks to register for more than one event at a time. Well, it is possible, but the flow of it is not very intuitive and is designed more for people to be able to register for one event at a time, though multiple people can register together.
Does this help answer your question? Please let me know. 🙂
Cheers,

MemberHi Ajay, nice to see you again!
Yes, you are absolutely welcome to use the plugins you have already purchased and downloaded on more than one site — you just will not be able to add the license keys to the other sites since your license is valid for a single site. That will have no impact on the actual functionality of the plugins though, so you should be good to use them on a development site and start testing.
Does this help answer your question? Please let me know. 🙂

MemberHi Rob,
That definitely looks like a conflict where the theme styles are interfering with the ticket form.
Try adding this CSS to your theme’s style.css file or by using the Simple Custom CSS plugin:
.quantity .minus { width: 25px !important; }Here’s a screenshot of how that looks when I test it on your site. Let me know if does the same for you.
Thanks!

MemberHi Chuck,
That sounds more like a possible bug or theme conflict. Will you please open up a thread in our support forums on WordPress.org with more details, including a link? That would be super helpful and we’d be happy to take a look at it on our next support pass of WordPress.org.
In the meantim, I would highly recommend following the steps outlined in this guide as a starting point to make sure it is a legitimate bug rather than a conflict with the theme or another plugin. In fact, our support team will likely ask whether you’ve followed these steps and having them done beforehand will expedite things for sure:
Thanks so much!

MemberHi Thiery, nice to see you again!
Yes, you can definitely set prices for the tickets you create for events and refund customers in the event of a cancellation.
You will need three plugins to make it happen:
- Event Tickets (free) –Â We built this plugin and it allows you to create free tickets for events.
- Event Tickets Plus – This extends Event Tickets so that you can create paid tickets for events and accept payments using WooCommerce.
- WooCommerce (free) –Â We did not build this plugin, but Event Tickets Plus connects to it so that people can add tickets to a shopping cart and pay for them.
That will give you everything you need to create tickets for your events and to accept payments for them.
Does this help answer your question? Please let me know. 🙂
Thanks!

MemberHi Kate and happy Friday!
You are spot on: we have prevented folks from being able to directly upload files to your server as a security measure. There is no easy way to determine the safety of a media file being uploaded and allowing files to be uploaded (especially on a public submission form) would leave a lot of sites vulnerable.
I am not aware of a workaround that would allow specific people to upload files instead of others. I suppose one way to do it would be to create a custom field for the Events post type using another plugin like Advanced Custom Fields, adding that to the Community Events submission form template, and then making it visible only to specific user types. That would take some exploration for sure in addition to custom development, but might be worth looking into.
Sorry I don’t have a concrete solution for you here, but does this at least help answer your question? Please let me know.
Thanks!

MemberHi Christopher,
Thanks so much for considering our plugins! I’m really excited to hear you’ll be using them on your sites and appreciate your support. 🙂
Yes, it is definitely possible to export events from one site to the other. In fact, this guide does a nice job of summing up the process for exporting the events data from one WordPress site and how to import it into another WordPress site:
https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/using-wordpress-export-tools-to-migrate-events-content/
Once you have migrated the data from one site to the other, iCal Importer (or, better yet, Event Aggregator which is our newest product) can watch for new events and import them automatically for you.

MemberHi Randy,
Thanks for reaching out!
Yes, Events Calendar PRO does indeed come with a number of shortcodes that allow you to embed the calendar on other pages and posts. Here’s a bunch more info on how the shortcodes work, including examples:
https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/embedding-calendar-views-tribe_events-shortcode/
Let me know if you have any follow-up questions here about how shortcodes work in Events Calendar PRO and I’d be happy to help. 🙂

GeoffOctober 28, 2016 at 7:35 am in reply to: Changing the Order of Ticket on WooCommerce Product Page to list by END SALE #1184389Geoff
MemberHey Samuel, thanks for reaching out.
That is defintely a great question. We do have examples available of snippets that allow you to change the order of tickets by ticket name and price:
While I have not seen a workaround for being able to change the order of tickets based on the end date of sale, you can certainly use those examples as a blueprint to help get you started in that direction.
In the meantime, it would be awesome if you could open a thread for this in our feature request forum. I’m actually a little surprised that hasn’t come up yet in there, but I can see how that would be super useful and this will help get it on the radar for consideration.
Thanks so much!
